What a surprise. What a terrific meal. A colleague and I visited here for lunch today and I must say I was surprised every step of the way. The food was terrific, the selection was vast and the service was spot on. For lunch I had the shrimp wrap... well done! Our server, Essence, is exactly what you would want in service. Solid diner atmosphere, 5 star staff friendliness, very inviting menu with lots of breakfast and lunch items served all day. I ordered the captain's delight which is a shrimp and crabmeat omelette. You get a toast with it, and choice of fruit or fries. The omelette had cheese and bell peppers. Wish it was seasoned a tad more. The omelette was over cooked so it was dry. The shrimp was frozen not fresh, the amount of crab meat was negligible. read more

A very simple and sweet diner. It's pretty to the point, and when I say that I mean that it does the job. The service was quick, and simple. It was clean, and very organized which I always enjoy seeing. They carry all the staple breakfast foods and, the mimosas are truly amazing (love when they don't hold back with the mimoas). It's a place you go for a quick breakfast with a friend or parent. It has a very homey atmosphere, and it's a very comfortable place to grab a quick cup of coffee and plate of eggs. I normally don't go for French toast, but I took a chance this time and it was absolutely yummy. I also loved how well the eggs were..people don't realize how easily eggs can be ruined okay?!! The eggs were my type, and I love how they do the potatoes the old school way like my mom makes them when my sisters and I were home. Came here with family while in the area. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very friendly. The menu had some different options but nothing super special. I ordered the bananas foster french toast and it was ok. The french toast was a bit too crispy for my liking and it didn't seem to have enough sauce for me so I ended up using syrup. My family said everything was good - there were some leftovers but nobody took anything home which lead me to think maybe their food was just ok? All in all I may come here again and try something else in the future. read more

This was a cute little spot by Lynnhaven mall! We did have a little bit of a wait but it wasnt more than 15 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. The location is a bit small BUT their wait staff is nice and I enjoyed the home feeling of the place. The bloody mary was delicious and their bacon added the flavor that made it even better. The place had a home feeling to it and they loved my kids. They even gave me ideas on the best food options my littles and it worked out great. This is a fantastic place to eat! Food was outstanding and good, proper, portion sizes. They weren't huge or too small - goldilocks zone! Sweet tea in DE is simply awful. Let's talk about the good. They have excellent service. Valerie took very good care of us and always had a smile even when we had a complaint. For that, the restaurant deserves 5 stars. I also had the banana nut waffles which were delicious. My husband ordered the pancake combo with sausage links and eggs sunny side up. He ate up the eggs and pancakes. I was able to sneak a bite or two of his sausage links which were juicy and delicious! My only complaint what how they cook their corn beef hash. I've been to many a diner and had my fair share of corn beef hash. Not sure if they were having an off day but the dish was very soggy. We complained and Valerie took it back (with a smile) & even the shift manager came by to apologize and ask us how we were doing. Excellent service! But when they brought it back, it was crispier at the thinner edges but still very soggy in the middle. I'd be willing to come back, but the hash browns are definitely a no-go for me. read more

I love this place! The food is always piping hot and cooked to perfection. I frequently order my eggs over easy and they make them so that all the white is cooked and the yolk is still runny for me to dip my toast into and use the hash browns for the drops of golden yummy morning sunshine that might get away. And the bacon is never too crispy (as in shattering into a million little pieces ugh!) and not limp either (it remains erect when you bring it to your mouth heh heh heh! I slay myself!) but just the right amount of chewy that you can sink your teeth into for a satisfying chew! The way the friendly staff helps each other is fantastic and makes for a nice bustling diner style experience. Even on Sunday mornings, the wait isn't crazy. We've never eaten here before because I thought it was a chain. Yelped breakfast places near where we were, and found that not only was Pop's highly rated, but not a chain. Yay! They were busy, but we didn't have to wait long at all. This team of servers really worked as a TEAM and turned tables quickly. Fast and friendly service is what it's all about! Pretty standard breakfast fare, which is what we were looking for. I had the bacon and egg breakfast - scrambled with cheese and grits on the side. The eggs were a little over (I'm not a fan of crunchy bits in my eggs, but it wasn't a deal breaker). The bacon was cooked perfectly. Not too crunchy, not too floppy (in the kid's words). Hubby had the waffle combo and a side (HUGE!) of grits. The waffle was good and the grits were loaded with butter, the way we love them. The kid's silver dollar pancakes were nothing spectacular, but they were free and who doesn't love that? Kids eat free here all day. All in all a good experience. About $35 for the three of us. A little pricey, but the service made it worth it. We'll stop in again when we're out near Lynnhaven. read more

Located on the periphery of the Lynnhaven Mall, there's enough parking even if it's busy. This morning, it wasn't too busy. Coffee to start and then I opted for the Grecian Omelet, which arrived a few minutes later. A good portion with plenty of feta cheese and tomatoes, maybe not as much in the red peppers and onions department. But it was tasty! On the side, a good portion of really excellent home fries. The nice thing is that it's not too crowded earlier in the morning. I always ask for Lydia as she is a great server. I may be a local, but if you are not from the area, you should definitely come here to have a meal. You won't be disappointed. Breakfast was great this morning. We had the choice of inside or outside dining and it was too nice out ,so out it was. They have a big tent with plenty of tables and its a seat yourself. I ordered the Hawaiian Mimosa with pineapple, champagne and grenadine. Absolutely delish!!! We ordered the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes with cream cheese glaze and Cinnamon toppings dollops of whipped cream ontop .
