Ahhhh PopUp Bagels is finally opened and I couldn't be more ecstatic! I first tried it in New York and have been hoping for a location nearby ever since. As expected, the bagels are so yummy and schmears are heavenly. The truffle butter was amazing but I was especially surprised by how much truffle was packed in there. 10/10 worth the drive to Georgetown for these!

It's opening weekend for pop up bagels, they opened on Friday and I went the day after. I was already going to be in Georgetown and a bit skeptical because I saw how long the line was the day before. I went around 1pm and the line wasn't too bad. I waited about 10 minutes in line and it took 2 minutes after to receive my bagels. I got 1 poppy, 1 sesame, and 1 salt with plain cream cheese. I ate them right outside so they would still be hot. The bagels are good! No doubt about that, are they overpriced, yes. They give you an insane amount of cream cheese. It seemed a bit wasteful to give so much. I ended up throwing mine away because I knew I wouldn't eat it later. My favorite was the salt bagel, 10/10. The sesame bagel was a let down for me. It had no taste at all. I think it's worth one try, I personally don't think I would come back anytime soon but the bagels were delicious, just a bit too pricey for me.

If you can get lucky with parking (which we did), this is a smoothly run operation in the heart of Georgetown. Got in line about 50 customers deep as probably waited about 15 minutes. We got 3 assorted bagels and schmear...couldn't ask for much more in an experience. Served piping hot, cooked perfectly, and not overly salty yet flavorful given the specialty versions. Cool concept and would definitely go back!

I always despise having to drive into Georgetown due to parking and traffic. So I was really hoping that this place was overhyped. But I'm here to report that it is as good as advertised. Pop up bagels might be some the BEST bagels I've ever had. Loved the salted bagel the most and the scallion cream cheese paired sooooo well with every bagel. I could've eaten a dozen myself! If you're gonna make a trip into Georgetown you need to stop here!

Pop up bagel is new in Georgetown and so much fun. I live about an hour outside of dc and it was well worth the trip. The line was out the door, but I didn't wait more than 10 minutes to get to the counter and my bagels were ready almost instantly! Some seating upstairs and we managed to get a seat pretty easily. Once we got to open our bag of bagels, they were so fresh that I couldn't even touch the bagel at first. When I was able to tear it, the steam wafted out like a cartoon. Everything was so perfectly baked and cream cheese so perfectly spreadable/dippable (if you do it their way). It was just a perfect bagel treat. I would not pass up an opportunity to get pop up. I'm glad they're opening more locations around Maryland/dc.

I understand the hype! I totally get it! And now I'm a fan! PopUp Bagels is everything! I traveled to Georgetown this morning to try these bagels and they were delicious. I knew it was going to be a good day when there was no traffic, I found street parking and there was no line. I walked into the store and was greeted by several staff. I placed my order and the bagels came out in seconds. Nice and hot! They were sold out of the sesame seed bagels but I ordered the plain, everything and salted bagels. I am definitely coming back. 2 thumbs up.

opening weekend for pop up bagels dc! I expected the line to be much longer but was in and out in under 15 mins! so shoutout to the staff for getting and keeping the line moving! I had previously had a pop up bagel around this time last year in new york city and i think they taste better there, that said service was fast and friendly and the bagels were hot! I got the cake batter cream cheese schmear and they made a great dip for my pretzel bites I had at home!

My friends and I went pretty much right at opening before work. It was great way to start the mornings. Service was good and I loved that they had some chairs outside for dining. I thought the bagels and spreads were really good. It was a fun concept to rip and dip. Although if the bagels aren't eaten within an hour the ripping gets hard. I don't love that you can't you order single bagels and the sizes of the spreads don't vary. I think Popup is great to try once in a while if there's no lines. I definitely wouldn't wait 30+ minutes to try.

I was lucky enough to try Pop Up Bagels on their opening day! The line was wrapped around the block, with people waiting hours just to get a taste. I tried an assortment of bagels, with the everything bagel being my favorite. I also sampled two schmeers--the scallion cream cheese and the hotel butter--and both were delicious. Overall, it's such a fun spot to check out!

I want to not like this so much because it's definitely overpriced ($15 for 3 bagels with cream cheese and no option to customize the number of bagels?), but it was delicious. I don't like toasted bagels because it dries them out and messes with the texture, but so rarely do you get truly fresh bagels served to you still hot. There's something magical about getting a bag of three piping hot bagels and scooping them into delicious spicy scallion cream cheese that just hits different than room temperature or toasted bagels. Fine, yes, I will be back. It's better to split with friends given the forced 3-bagel order, but I'm sure they would freeze well too. There's a second floor with seating as well as patio seating outside, but come early if you want to be sure to get a table; it was hopping by 9. Service was fast and efficient. Cream cheese flavors rotate weekly (and I can say spicy scallion was a great one). I wish they gave slightly more bagel for the volume of cream cheese, but really I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I'm not a bagel girlie but these, I'm sold on! They're fresh to order and so soft, not hard at all. I ordered a 6 pack with their cake batter schmear. They were very quick, even with a line and being newly opened.

Since it was a busy Saturday afternoon, we did have to wait a bit for our pickup order because they were pretty backed up. Luckily, it's connected to a hotel, so we were able to sit at the hotel tables and chairs while we waited. There was plenty of seating, which was really nice. Once you got up to order, the service was fast and efficient. They also had a pretty large menu with lots of different bagel options to choose from. Overall, it's definitely a great spot to try if you're in the area!

I went to Call Your Mother (CYM) with a friend in DC and they hyped this place up a LOT. I hate to…read moresay it... but the food was satisfactory. The establishment and the thought and care these staff put into each order definitely makes up for it though. The bagel was the most interesting part, since I got a maple & salt (i think) which added a touch of sweet to my savory breakfast! The rest of the bagel sandwich was just fine, nothing special in my book. I did like how much decor and paint there was inside the establishment, and I also liked how much seating there was inside with nice chairs and all (I think CYM shares with a hotel (?)). But there were also little order-specific stickers on each bagel that came out, which I thought was super cute. Definitely come here with a friend! It's a very solid spot.

No flashy gimmicks just reliable sandwiches and apparently coffee based on their decor (But I'm here for lunch!). The guy at the counter is friendly, he's a talker, he's got recommendations. I don't need them but I ask for all of em Hit me pal! I ignore all of them and get a turkey avocado BLT situation. FANTASTIC. And somehow the bag of indie potato chips is criminally underpriced. He doesn't know they're charging like $3.50 a pop for these down at Adams, Morgan, Ace and other places around the city. Maybe they're going to know it when they read this review and if prices go up I'm sorry but also these greedy DC landlords are wrenching rent prices everywhere and So's your mom has to pay the bills! The prices are incredibly reasonable, though, and probably less overhead/swipe fees. The whitefish and lox spread bagel was wonderful for only $5. It is not a huge bagel but the perfect size for breakfast. Personally, I'd rather not have any leftovers since I'm traveling and our room didn't have a mini-fridge or microwave anyway. You wait for your food for awhile, but we found some nice locals to chat with and they recommended a few other spots to us. There's no seating so you must take your food to go. It's too bad we found this spot on our last day in DC, but it will be our go-to if we stay at the Washington Hilton again.
