Their bagels are baked fresh, daily. There is a vast assortment of bagel flavors. The bagel quality is good. On my last visit, I ordered a cheese jalapeño bagel breakfast sandwich, however, the sandwich was greasy and I chalked it up to the quality of cheese. Hands down the sausage is better, go with that. Two were on Everything Bagel and one was with Wheat Everything Bagel. Highly recommend the wheat everything bagel instead. It is somehow more flavorful and the chew of the bagel goes very well with the sandwich fillings. This combo also comes with a coffee or orange juice. I think I found my new favorite bagel in DC. This hidden Dupont gem offers up amazingly soft bagels with a nice crispy/toasty exterior, which are fantastic when they come fresh out of the kitchen. I stopped in early on a Wednesday morning and didn't encounter much of a line. I was able to call-in my order so it was ready for me upon arrival. Note: they are cash only. In an time where bagel shops with ties to New York are popping up all over town, I hope that this small bagel shack remains a little bit under the radar so I can enjoy a quality bagel without the lines that comes with the more hyped-up places. read more

By far the best bagel you will find in the district. Perfect fluffiness, airiness, and crispness to the outside. Also, incredibly priced! I've been here a few times now and the bagels have stayed consistent, which is hard to find. Though the line can get quite long, the service is VERY quick. Definitely the closest thing we have to a NYC bagel. Something I recently discovered is that they have additional seating in the back, but beware the place can feel quite tiny with the amount of people crammed into it to order. It's about a 12 minute walk from my downtown office (other bagelries are much closer) and only takes cash, but the bagels are so good I just enjoy getting my steps in for the day and plan ahead to have currency on me. We came here for breakfast on a weekend, and we ordered: +#5 - which was a Scrambled Egg Bagel with Sausage, Bacon, or Ham - this was requested with a Jalapeno Cheese bagel with sausage +a Super Bagel - comes with onions, sprouts, tomatoes, and plain cream cheese - I customized this with substituting the plain cream cheese with the chive cream cheese, adding lox, on an Everything bagel We noticed that the price for the two was close to $25+, and we were curious as to why it was so steep; the employee stated that I had requested 'extra lox', which I didn't; it really didn't add up with the prices posted, and there wasn't an itemized receipt that was provided. I feel like these type of places can easily bamboozle you in paying extra if you're really not paying any attention. Oh, and the 'extra lox'? There wasn't - the sandwich only had two slivers of the smoked salmon... A charming bagel and sandwich shop with the most kind staff. Cute Japanese women run this local fave for breakfast, bagels and cold cuts. Cheap coffee, smoothies and fruit. A one stop almost deli feel eatery. I got the Lox bagel with all the fixings. The bagels are steamed as apposed to wood fired which means they are chewier. The bagel was fantastic - so warm and fresh it practically melted in your mouth!
