After purchase, expect poor to no communication. I purchased a 2017 "Certified Used" 911 Targa 4S from Austin Porsche. On the day of purchase, the dealership agreed to replace the clear bra on the vehicle (it was scuffed, faded, and cloudy). One week later after hearing nothing from 2 emails to my sales associate, I called and was told "paint had come off the car while removing the bra, and the front end of the car needs to be repainted"... 3 weeks after purchase, with me always calling them - never receiving proactive feedback (so frustrating), I received the vehicle back. (Strike 1). At the time of purchase, I paid $2,000 for the "Porsche Driving Experience" at COTA Speedway, an exciting time for any Porsche owner. My vehicle had to be inspected prior to the racing event day, and of course, the "Certified Porsche" failed the inspection... how does that happen with a $135,000.00 vehicle that just went through a 180 point thorough inspection? The vehicle went back into the shop, and of course, the racing day was missed. (Strike 2). At this point, the entire experience of owning this new amazing machine has been nothing but stress and disappointment... I no longer even trust the vehicle and the dealerships' lack of care and almost complete disregard have ruined the experience. 2 months into the nightmare I call my sales associate and ask him about trading in the 911 on a new Porsche SUV... he completely understands and will get back with me. I never receive a return call. (Strike 3). A week or so later I text my sales associate and ask if he has any of the original photos of the vehicle I could use - I'm selling the car. He never replies. The experience at this point is so bad I just want to be done - I call an auto broker I've previously dealt with and sell the car for $105,000.00. A $30,000 lesson on my end - hoping to save you the same horrible experience I received in all regards at Porsche Austin. read more

The second call, days later, was to service and he said he couldn't reach parts to check on the tires. Said that someone would be contacting me. Can't believe they are so lame... Time to trade in my 2008 Cayman S for something else used but with fewer miles. I thought I might get better trade in value at Porsche Austin since it was a Porsche in great condition and purchased there. The value they quoted me was LESS THAN EVERY NON-PORSCHE DEALERSHIP I VISITED! Substantially less. Less than a cash offer I got from an auto broker (that's mind-boggling). I wound up trading in elsewhere for several thousand more. I guess that shows what they think of their own product. It occurred to me later that they may have spotted some hidden problems with the car I wasn't aware of, and which other dealership trade in inspectors wouldn't know to look for. If so, I would be appreciative and understanding if they'd pointed out the issues. Instead they just attributed it to "high mileage," which every offer took into account, of course. The Cayman was my second Porsche and I love the cars. Both were solid, reliable cars until the day I parted with them. As a company, Porsche has a reputation for arrogance towards its own customers, and I'd run headlong into it at this dealership over service issues, back before Roger Beasley sold it. Bought a new car that was in the shop within weeks with 3 different manufacturer defects. Was lied to or blown off several times throughout the pre sale and post sale process. It took multiple complaints to even get a manager response. Suffice to say, I've already filed a complaint with the NHTSA and Texas AG office. Hate to go the mean route to return this vehicle, but they are giving me no option but to apply maximum pressure. Porsche Austin, if you're reading this, tell your staff to stop reminding customers that you're a luxury product and we're just stupid. Everyone knows the Porsche service level in Austin is pathetically low when compared to Mercedes or Land Rover and a shiny new building doesn't make it better. They damage my interior almost every time I bring it in, as well as leave tools in the car! The valet service is more confusing for the staff than the customers and the attitude of the new service staff, just plan rude. This place makes owning a Porsche in Austin regrettable! When I decided to purchase my Porsche 718, I went to Porsche Austin. Since Porsche is considered a luxury brand, I expected the sales team to be on par with the brand. This could not be further from the truth in my experience. What I got was a SA who looked bored and disinterested in helping me throughout the process. When I escalated my issues to the GM, he seemed genuinely concerned and assigned a new SA to me. It started off okay, but didn't seem like he wanted my business and stopped returning emails to my inquires. The GM never followed up once to see if the issues were rectified. I had decided that I was not going to purchase a Porsche since I was so disappointing with the lack of respect I received at Porsche Austin. I have received way better service and respect at a Honda dealership. They made it seem like it was a privilege for me to purchase a car from them and always seemed put out. The whole experience made me feel uncomfortable. However, a friend of mine suggested I call Porsche North Houston before I scrap the whole idea of owning a Porsche. Let me say, these guys are pros all the way! They made me feel valued as a customer from the first to last email/phone call. My SA was excited for me and made it seem like it was he was getting the car. The whole atmosphere of the dealership was a 180° from Porsche Austin. They also mentioned (in a diplomatic way) that they have a lot of customers from Austin since the Austin Porsche dealership didn't seem to want their business. If you are buying a new car, no problem. If you are buying a used car, have them show you a clear title before buying. I purchased a vehicle for over $100K over 5 months ago and the dealer hasn't yet produced the title. Their General Manager refuses to pickup the phone to work through the issues either and instead opts to ignore the calls. I ended up filing a complaint with the TX DMV and the Attorney for the DMV confirmed the dealer has violated state law - yet I'm holding a car over $100k and no title to accompany it yet. read more

There were quite a few people standing around, maybe a dozen, that did not look like customers, along with others looking at cars like me. This was early Thursday afternoon so wasn't expecting a crowd. Not a single person greeted me or asked me if I need help or really even looked at me for more than a split second. I went through the whole first and second floor slowly looking at every car. I was utterly ignored. It wasn't clear who I should engage with. I have been a customer of Porsche Austin for over 20 years. During that time, I have purchased seven cars from both new and used car departments. During most of this time, I have known and had a great relationship with both the sales and service teams; however, the current ownership and management from HiTech Motors has turned this dealership into something more like a seedy used car lot. I traded in a car to the used car department in April of 2020. Since then, I have received three toll fee notices and one registration notice for the car I traded in to Porsche Austin. I have emailed and called repeatedly for Porsche Austin to find out why I was receiving these notices for a car I had already sold to them. I GET ZERO RESPONSE FROM HEAD OF USED CAR SALES, ISHRAK CHOWDHURY, I GET ZERO RESPONSE FROM GENERAL SALES MANAGER, CHRISTIAN AMES, I GET ZERO RESPONSE FROM GENERAL MANAGER, ALDO ABAD. If you failed to do a proper title transfer then tell me about it and get it done!! What kind of "luxury car dealership" treats their customers this way? How can you buy a car from me and sell it to someone else without doing a title transfer? And why would you not respond at all to my emails??? If you ever think about trading in a car to Porsche Austin learn from my experience. They may not do a proper title transfer which will leave you liable for tolls, parking tickets, and anything else done with your former car. AND THEY WILL NOT EVEN ANSWER YOUR EMAILS AS YOU ASK THEM TO EXPLAIN AND FIX THE PROBLEM! Needless to say, when I trade in my current Porsche I will not be doing so at Porsche Austin. This dealership wasted over a week of my time, they were extremely slow. It took them a week to get back to me about my credit application at which point only 1 bank was applied for (chase) confirmed by my credit report which I get live notifications for at which point I received no phone calls or follow ups, anytime they asked for information or a stipulation I provided it to them and would not get a response until end of day or next day because I obviously don't matter to them, I basically did all the leg work myself no effort provided on their part, also finance manger MrDiaz is an extremely short and rude person if a conversation isn't going his way. He's definitely not good representation for Porsche Austin dealership or Porsche financial. They shouldn't let this man discuss anything with clients, just do the background work. The salesman was juggling 2 or 3 different customers while dealing with my wife and I sitting at his desk, so that lets you know you really don't matter to them. You are just another sale, not a person this is a bare minimum dealership they do not care about you or your time.They will not go above and beyond for you which is scary if that's how they do business during the purchase process makes you wonder how will they deal with you post purchase, or service wise if there are any post purchase issues. A local Porsche owner since 2004, I am SO very happy with the new ownership of this business !! I received the service promised in the time frame agreed on, and at a price a little less than the estimate. Always a good sign! And, so very nice to have someone reach out to keep me informed instead of my having to try to chase someone down for simple answers. From the minute I arrived to pick up my car, I could tell that the customer service had changed dramatically for the better. Attentive folks did everything they could to handle my little "add-on" item, and didn't get the least bit exasperated with me. (At least, not so I could SEE it.) Chase was courteous and thorough from the start to the finish of the process. We originally had an appointment for the service, but my Cayenne acted up and accelerated the process a bit. In spite of our unscheduled arrival, Chase found a very nice loaner vehicle for us to use. Just can't say enough GOOD about this new attitude toward Porsche owners in Austin. This is arguably the worst experience at an auto dealership we have ever had. As a reputable surgeon in town capable of not only purchasing their most expensive vehicle but also being a significant referral source, I was shocked by the haughty attitudes of not only the woman at the front desk but all the salespeople as well. My wife and I were completely ignored by multiple salespeople who sat idly by and chatted with each other for over 30 minutes. They even looked directly at us and chose not to move. When we inquired with the receptionist about a specific vehicle, she coldly stated that all the cars with locked doors were sold. There was no greeting, no offer to find a sales associate, and not even an offer of water like most dealerships. The art of customer service is clearly not a priority at this dealership, and they will not be earning our money. What a change! I'm talking night and day vs previous management. Richard was my service rep. He was expecting me at the door and greeted me by name when I arrived (the little things count). I was promptly checked in and, about 10 minutes later, was pulling off the lot in a brand new Macan loaner! The turnaround time on my car was quick! But in the 3 days I had the Macan, my wife fell in love... So I gave Richard a ring and he arranged for us to meet with Chris, one of their sales reps. Despite my wife and I running late to our appointment, Chris was waiting for us at the front and was more than happy to take us on test drives of several different Macan models. After a couple hours we decided to put in an order for the GTS! We had fun with chris picking out our options and took delivery about 2 weeks ago! When the car arrived chris took the time to help us get acquainted with the cars controls/features and seemed to be just as excited as we were! All around, one of the best experiences I've had in making a new car purchase. To sum it up - i reluctantly brought my car in for service, fearing the worst, and had such a great experience that I wound up leaving with 2! Haha. Kudos to the new management! Customer "service" lacking A tanker truck attempted to change lanes; the move was stymied by my Cayman S, purchased at Roger Beasley Porsche (RBP), and serviced by them up to this incidence. It was 105, the traffic noise was deafening, I was stressed. I called RBP and asked for a tow to them. Feckless bimbo told me that they don't tow. Because of the traffic noise, fectless repeatedly complained that she had trouble hearing me. I explained my situation, particularly my nerves, the heat, the noise. I have purchased two Porsches from the Austin dealership and worked with the GM Aldo Abad, Mike Presta and the sales person Brendan Sipple. The Austin Dealership is definitely into slam dunking customers more than any car dealership I have ever experienced. There are several Porsche dealerships in Texas and I would AVOID the Austin Dealership at all costs unless you want the lowest trade-in value and the highest purchase price. I would advise two in Texas to include Park Place Porsche in Dallas (purchased from this dealership) and Porsche North Houston. Both these dealerships have a pretty large inventory and they endeavor to create a win-win scenario on a purchase or resale. If your interested in GT cars I would try Porsche South Shore in New York they are above board on their pricing and pretty easy to deal with and willing to ship the cars anywhere in the US. In addition, South Shore is much more reasonable with markups on GT cars even when the GT cars are newly released. Porsche Austin will be moving to a new location but be advised the same old business practices will follow them or get worse with the increased overhead. Be aware though before you purchase a Porsche the depreciation is breathtaking and also be sure to disregard the flowery picture of eventual resale nirvana the dealership paints. Keep in mind you may make one "good" deal and therefore you might imagine you figured things out but bear in mind the house always win. On resale they have you over the proverbial barrel and their tired pet excuse for the very a low offer, amongst others, is its a "high mileage" vehicle. If you cannot accept this advice now then after you step in "it" then take up the mantle and spread the message to at least help others. In order for predatory business practices to succeed you have to act like prey.....don't! read more
