If you own a Tesla you'll know that their dealerships are more like Apple Stores rather than a conventional car dealership. The key difference is they don't have "departments" that you can go to for a particular type of assistance that you may need. You'll have to talk to someone and they'' direct you to the person you need to talk to. A bit confusing if you're not aware of this (just like apple stores). I've always been happy with their service here and never had a bad experience. Same as their location in Daly City. All around friendly staff and quite helpful. DO NOT BUY A TESLA !!! Save your money and buy something else! This Mark Anthony guy was a joke. I asked him what time do you guys open? The guy lied to me over the phone said they are open at 7AM. I arrived around 7AM and Just to find out they dont even open until it was 8AM. I was foolish to think I can trust someone that works at Tesla. Also, they charged me 1 dollar for my loaner vehicle, reason for "toll", I have not gone through any tolls at all, I have not crossed any bridges. Matter of fact, I barely even driven the loaner I was given. This is how shady Tesla is coming to nowadays. Also, when something is broken in my vehicle and thats covered under warranty, I expect new parts with performance that is standard to new parts. However, when my long range battery was broken which can be charged to 330Miles, they replaced it with a battery that can only charge to 250 miles. How is this a replacement at all? Giving me some refurbished second hand downgraded replacement. Had my alignment done here and my steering is still crooked WTH? This Mark Anthony person was yelling at me, wouldn't let me talk. How do you work in customer service acting like this? Why is Tesla hiring Pr*cks like this in the first place? Do you even train your workers? I will never buy another tesla again. I'm writing this as a family member who witnessed how frustrating this experience was. My relative was simply trying to get help with a vehicle issue, but Mark Anthony was rude, kept interrupting, and then accused them of yelling. When they asked to speak with a manager, he hung up. We then drove 40 minutes to the service center hoping to resolve the matter in person. Instead, Mark Anthony refused to let us speak with management, laughed, and told us to leave. What made it worse was the warranty issue itself. A faulty high-voltage battery was replaced with one that did not match the original range, and the problem was never properly addressed. After seeing how this was handled, our family has lost confidence in Tesla and would not consider buying one again. read more

Dropped my Model S Plaid there for them to check out the issues with the suspension. Car was driving normally fine, and while I'm on the freeway, suddenly all electrical components were shut off, ABS, Lane Departure, Regenerated Brake, Stability ..... After looking at the car they found out the rear right toe link was damage (broken at the bracket). However, they decided not to continue to do anymore works on the car due to the aftermarket parts that was installed (previous owner installed the N2titive Lower Links), also charged me $90. I asked if they can replace the lower links with the OEM parts, so they can continue to work on the car, but they refused to work or touch anything that is aftermarket or non tesla parts. They wanted me to take the car to whatever shop that I want to remove N2titive Lower Links and put back the original (which I don't have). I meant they offer no other alternative solution just complete rejected the car. They rather do that and have customer drive home with a car that has a broken toe link. It's very and super dangerous to drive the car under such conditions. Anything can happen, I meant the wheel can just fall off and fly to other cars, people, including me, might get injured or die as the result. I meant their policy of not working on cars with aftermarket parts is one thing but at least warn me with the conditions of the car or told me to tow the car instead of drive it. After found out about the broken Toe Link, I did some research and foud that Tesla is known to have issues with their suspension system. Even though there is no recall on any of the parts but it's a well known topic/issues in the Tesla Forum and on the internet. People in the forum suggested me to reach out to Tesla and reason with them about this defected Toe Link and see if they perform the "good will" fix. Tesla Service Center at Burlingame rejected everything that I asked. The service advisor Lissette Gutierrez and her service manager Vickie repeatedly stated that the Toe Link broke due to wear and tear, not defected. I meant use your common sense Vickie, looks like you have some, just refused to use it. If it's due to wear and tear, how is it possible to break at the 45k miles. They just wanted to avoid the liability and ignore the issue/problems and facts about their parts in suspension. I understand that they have a right to refuse to work on cars with aftermarket parts but this is BS. I took the car there for alignment before and they didn't say anything about the aftermarket pars. They did the alignment or at least they said they did. By the way, that was also a horrible job. They didn't provide me with the alignment results, the before and after readings and how they corrected it, and the tires still went bad in about 5-7K miles. And I'm sure they worked on cars with aftermarket parts before (please comment on this). Anyhow, figured that they would use the aftermarket parts for the solution, I asked them if they can provide me a new Toe Link, and I'll bring my car to other shops who are willing to do the work to install. I still believe this is the least least they can do to correct the issue. Lissette and Vickie, especially Vickie, rejected my offer, continue saying that Toe Links broke due to wear and tear but they were happy to sell me one instead. After found out it only cost $80 for the Toe Link (probably cost Tesla $10-20 to make it from China), I gave up with the conversation with the Manager Vickie. I feel like I'm freaking waste my time to convince them on something like this for $80. So why do I write this such long review to complain about them, some of you might ask. It's all about what is right, what is reasonable, and how Tesla service Center at Burlingame, especially Lissette and Vickie treat their customers. I have 3 Tesla cars and have been referred friends and family to buy Tesla. Spreading the good words about Tesla but Lissette and Vickie at Tesla Service in Burlingame now has completely changed my mind about Tesla. Great work there Vickie!! For now you lost a customer, and soon you will lose more if you continue to do business like this. read more

First of all I have a Tesla S and it cost over 100k and every time I came in they treated me like a second class citizen. My drive unit was broken and came in and paid out of pocket. These imbeciles did not properly secure my middle and back undercover and also my rear bumper. So the entire bumper came off on the freeway. It was just a lot of headaches and they wouldn't admit fault. Also came in with my friend to have his high voltage battery replaced under warranty. He has a long range which charges to 340 miles full charge. After battery was replaced Tesla committed consumer fraud and gave him a new battery that only charge to 240. I would tell everyone to never buy another Tesla ! Also this mark anthony guy and the manager Vicky he is a joke. There's a nice supercharger in Burlingame, which offers Bay views from the trail which runs along the water. The trail is just steps away from the charging station. I guess most Tesla owners don't know how to work on cars. I came in there, bought a battery. The Tesla Burlingame rep asked me over the counter twice (meaning hand me the battery) with surprise. I said yes twice, and got my battery really quick. The Serramonte / Colma Tesla is absolutely useless for service. The have some random hours, the guy must not be reliable. I met with friendly staff members each of the 3 times I've come here. Once for a tire pressure adjustment, another for tire rotation, and last for a nail puncture in the tire. It took over 60 minutes to get air added to tires (after initial delivery), but got the job done. Tire rotation was great, dropped off the car and got a model 3 loaner for a day. Mail puncture in tire cost a lot here. Staff recommended to go elsewhere, which I did. Thanks for that honest recommendation. read more

I was driving on the freeway when a large rock struck my 2024 Tesla Model Y, causing the windshield to crack. I scheduled an appointment for windshield replacement at the Tesla service center in Burlingame. The estimated time for the replacement was two hours and thirty minutes. However, the Tesla mechanic managed to remove the cracked windshield and install a new one in just two hours, which was quite impressive! If you're concerned about the cost of replacing the windshield for a Tesla Model Y, it's $1,699.44. Fortunately, I have Geico zero-deductible insurance, so I'll be reimbursed for the repair. I scheduled the service with detailed instructions of what was needed (change front tires and alignment of all 4 ). Pretty straightforward. On the day scheduled, when I went to drop it off, I was informed that they only could change the tires (no alignment!). They offered to reschedule for today 7/08. When we arrived to drop it off at the scheduled time, the staff said that the machine was broken and couldn't do the service - again! So disappointing because it takes a lot of planning to take time away from work etc. and there was not even an advance notice. The only positive experience was that the Burlingame staff was able to schedule same day at the Palo Alto unit. The experience there was very different. I will avoid the Burlingame unit as much as I can. Too bad though. I hope they are able to turn things around quickly. read more

Instead of answering, he goes, in front of people "Well, we give you the loan, you should take it. Without taking it, how is it going to work?" blah blah blah first of all you didn't give me the loan who is we? I got it He acts like I'm buying a Tesla every month. If you can't answer the question, what's your purpose of working for Tesla? The store wasn't even busy, and I still waited literally 20-30 minutes just to ask him a simple question while he was chatting with another customer. When I finally got to ask, he acted like he's some super important person. Dude, chill out you're not saving the world. Plus, you have the easiest sales job out there. I ordered the vehicle online, I did everything myself you literally didn't do anything. All you have to do is answer simple questions when a customer asks, and you can't even do that. PSA - ANT INFESTATION: My Tesla was infested with ants when I picked it up from service - crawling all over the interior cabin, doors, around the charger port, dancing between panels we couldn't reach. The car was clean inside (we never ate in the car) and ant-free when dropped it off. Since we picked it up after-hours the first time (this ended up being a saga of other issues), I messaged them and they gave us a $110 refund after talking to management. $110 wouldn't even cover the cost to hire someone to deep clean and deal with this. The employees said that they have ant issues in the summer months, much like the rest of the bay area, and ant infestations happen occasionally in customer's cars (one other car with that issue in July) and can happen within 20 minutes. It was terrifying how blasé the dealer was. I paid a premium for service at a Tesla dealer, and to get the car back in what I almost considered a much worse state was tragic. Other observations: I was impressed how many friction points a regular dealer have were mitigated - you can drop off your car and return loaners after-hours. The messaging app system works great, although they create a separate ticket for each issue. Through the app, they send estimates which you approve for additional work. You pay on the app, which will unlock your car for pick up which you can do after-hours. The staff were pleasant. I had asked after the first incident if they could detail the car and remove the ants, and he said they had no detail team but that he would * personally * vacuum out the ants (hard to say if he did since there were tons of ants for the second pickup). It appears the service staff work hard and past midnight. I think some of the errors I had to bring it back for should have been discovered and addressed before returning the car, but perhaps the metrics of finishing tickets is more important than making sure the car is error-free. Conclusion: I have mixed feelings since the staff were nice, but ultimately no customer should be getting their car back dancing with ants. Unfortunately my time and inconvenience is worth only $110 to management. read more
