I had the pleasure of working with Paul Dulberg with our purchase. Saw a 2022 Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe the dealership had for sale. Since my wife's 2016 Cayenne was a bit outdated, I wanted to surprise my wife with a Cayenne Coupe, which she had had her eyes on ever since its first intro 4 years ago. Called the dealer, and Paul was the sales staff who answered our call. I expressed my interest, and would like a walk around video of the car. Within a few minutes, a video of the Cayenne GTS Coupe was sent to my phone. We both watched it, and my wife immediately fell in love with the car. So I reached out to Paul again to sort out the numbers for the car. Initially, we weren't able to reach an agreement. But the good news is, we were able to secure the car at the price that was fair for both of us. I was able to put down a deposit and was able to pick up the car 2 days later. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership, Paul was with a customer. He was kind enough to have his coworker to finalize his customer and walked over to acknowledge us. We walked to his desk, signed a few docs, walked over to the finance manager, signed the usual docs required, and voila, we're done. The entire process was fluid, fast, and efficient. We also ended up buying a few personal accessories at their parts dept. Despite a few unexpected hiccups with the car, Paul was able to rectify and made the buying experience beyond perfect. Both of my porsche have problems. One battery died and the other one the system shows my wheels are problematic but they are not. I was in a hurry to go out on a business trip and we drove to Weiss team to get help. As always, they are efficient and fast. The first car, they tested twice to ensure the batteries are not re-usable before they replaced the second day. The second car, they fixed it on the spot and gave back to me within 30 minutes. This dealership is the perfect example of why to AVOID a dealership. If you have an older 986/996 Porsche do not even think about doing business at Porsche of Marin. If you have a newer one, please understand, these people want to take your money. I took my 996 in to get work done on the radio and a new set of keys. $350 dollars later, they told me the electronics were all screwed up, the alarm system was a disaster to the point that programming new keys was impossible. They then told me it would cost $785 just to start the diagnosis and they had no idea how much more it would be after that. And by the way, you owe us $350 for that news. So I took the 996 to S Car Go in San Rafael. I explained the situation to Wells, their electronics guru. Within a half hour he had all the electronics reporting to the diagnostic system and had found a loose connector on the radio. At that point, I paid for him to replace the connectors to ensure a proper fit and to go ahead and reprogram a new key -- which I volunteered to pickup so I could road test the audio fix. Now here's where things get ridiculous. I picked up the new key from -- you guessed it-- Porsche of Marin. I handed the new key to Wells for programming. He came back to me five minutes later, shaking his head. "This key isn't new. It's scuffed up and worn, it even has key ring damage. They passed off a used key as a new one." Can you believe that??? I was shocked! The key was clearly working on round two of its life. Another key was delivered by the dealership this time (20 minute wait). Wells had it programmed and everything working within a half hour. Remember the DIAGNOSTIC ESTIMATE Of $785? The alarm system wasn't a mess and was recalibrated, the radio was repaired, the key was reprogrammed, all the fluids were topped off and the bill with tax was $700. Got money to burn and looking to be jerked around? Porsche of Marin is your kind of place. You want great work done with highly competent people in an efficient, we care type of place? Porche Marin INTENTIONALLY SABOTAGED MY VEHICLE. This shop is dangerous and must be avoided at all costs. After keeping my car for 30 days for an indicator light they could not fix, I complained and got some money back. Apparently, someone didn't like this, so they took revenge on me by not fixing the leak that was the cause of the problem. Therefore the next time it rained, the electrical box was fried again. They did this on purpose. I called to ask about it and they gloated about intentionally not fixing the leak to me on the phone. I've never seen anything like it. read more

I was trying to get my mid-life crisis Land Cruiser when my wife complained about me to her friends..... To keep my marriage above water. I pitched to her to get her own mid-life crisis car. Then I regrouped and angled again for my mid-life crisis car. Seeing as we are both not big spenders, I convinced her to get the 911 also known as 996. 2002 It has a retractable roof. It had low mileage. It has 4 seats - 2 being for little kids or petite adults. The car was listed on Porsche's site for preowned. So kudos to them for having an easy site to search for cars. The Porsche Marin people had it ready for testing in 5 minutes. Then 30 minutes later we were with a washed car and out the door. A few months later there was an issue with a motor mount, the Porsche in Fremont wanted 5K to fix, they said it was on them as their mechanic should have spotted it in the checkup. So thanks for that. The usual car maintenance is not the easiest as Marin lacks space but I don't mind.They don't surprise you with random, oh we found the fuel measuring gauge is faulty, it will be $7000 to order it and $2000 to install that other vendors of sports cars do. The last item is the parts folk, I sometimes fix some stuff myself to save time. The parts guys are always happy, knowledgeable and get things for you. read more

To those who plan to buy, sell and/or service your car in this location. STAY AWAY from this dealership (Indigo Auto Group)!!! Took my car in for an appraisal on 9/20/21 and the selling price was close to what I was looking for (I did have a CarMax appraisal with me). In addition, I decided to order a 911 as my replacement. Everything went smooth until I stepped out of this dealership. The sales person (E) told me the check will be mailed to me within a week or two. One week later, I followed up with him and he said the process "will" take a week or two. Two and a half week later I followed up with him again and he said he hasn't heard back from the office, and when I asked who I can escalate, nothing!! Called his office, his cell, the sales manager (D) office, cell, all voice mail with no response. I ended up calling Porsche North America (thank you Larry) and he was able to get in touch with this dealership (with a case number) and the dealership promised him to call me back that same day in order to settle the issue. Half day later, nothing, so I decided to drive there and talked to them in person. As soon as I told them why I was here, the lady (N), whom Larry talked to, said she would need to talk to the GM (which never happened as I looked at her the whole way), instead she went into the office and handed me a check right away. Once I received the check, I saw the invoice date was "9/21/21"!!! They could have send me the check the next day but instead they decided to keep it until I escalated 3 weeks later. I ended up cancelling my order, and along with my Porsche friends, will buy our future Porsches elsewhere. Update: I reached out to Kelly Wolf, Chief Executive Officer of indiGO Auto Group, who responded literally within minutes asking the GM of Porsche Marin to make the check available to me today and saying he will make sure this is never again a problem... Within 2 hours of doing that I had the check in my hand. So, credit where credit is due: this was not an indiGO problem, it was clearly a Marin-specific mess. When I came to the dealership, both Ren and Derrell were very very nice to me -- not exactly apologetic, since this is the Bay Area (where apologizing is a sign of weakness...), but nice no doubt. The lesson here is: be very careful, ask for documentation of everything, and ask _exactly_ when you're getting paid, in writing, and be prepared to walk away if you don't get the answer you like. read more

They're great until they get your money. I bought a 911, which had a couple of things to fix up. They were also going to complete the 60k mile service. I was told it'd be a week, but as many other reviews have stated already, the communication was terrible, so I had to contact them on day 7 to see what was going on. Ended up taking 12 days. On my way home with the car, it was apparent the wheel alignment was way off, and some of the things they said they would fix, were not fixed. When I contacted about the wheel alignment, the reply was "you should get that checked out." Then, after driving maybe 400 miles, i got an alert that a service was due in 900 miles. I got the standard "it was done, just the service alert wasn't reset" response. Mistakes happen, and I usually judge the company on how they rectify said mistakes. Well, Porsche Marin have decided to just ignore me now. I spent $100k on a sports car that doesn't drive in a straight line, didn't have the agreed upon repairs and didn't have the major maintenance service they said it would. And now they ignore me. I relented and had them send me the application. Mind you I have perfect credit and financials. It is a long drive about 30 minutes. i feel really appreicated as a customer. When the car was ready, Porsche Marin sent an uber to pick me up around 2pm. I then tried the Porsche dealership in Mill Valley who initially they gave me a $17k estimate. Later they told me they were not able to find an engine to replace mine nor were they willing rebuild the engine. Autohaus in Orinda found an engine locally with a single phone call. They replaced the engine, clutch and radiator and cooling system at a fraction of the Porsche dealer estimate. Autohaus was incredibly efficient and affordable with repairing my 97 Porsche Boxster. Final update for this nightmare with Indigo Porsche Marin.  First, I should note that this is the first 1-star review that I have ever written. I don't take that lightly. I have personally (for better or worse) read thousands of Yelp reviews and it's clear that everybody has their own standard for the 1-star rating. For me, 2 stars means Stay Away: it's "Apple-Maps-bad," or as bad as Comcast customer support (where they won't let you cancel service). 1-star means it looks like they're trying to start a mafia.  While I don't think General Manager Michael Christian will amass enough sales to start a mafia, he certainly has had a Travis Kalanick moment this week. In light of the major odometer discrepancy with my car, GM Michael Christian finally came back with an offer to take the car back and issue a refund and promised that I'd lose nothing out-of-pocket. Hmmmmm... but that leaves me without a car.  And, like, I need a car.  Because I gave you my other one as a trade-in.  And also, I've been waiting for this particular car, a special order, since 2018 when I put down a deposit with you.  This isn't as simple as an Amazon return....  GM Michael Christian, do you have your head screwed on right? GM Michael Christian's response was to re-double that his offer was an "exploding" one and that he'd need the car back in 3 days.  And of course keep the mileage down and don't hurt it.  ( Perhaps so they can resell it above the MSRP that I paid them?  After all, that's what they did with my trade-in, a "GT Car" ). With respect to the core odometer issue, it is clear that Indigo Porsche Marin lied to me at the time I signed the Bill of Sale and wrote them a six-figure check.  They've had a full week to come up with hard evidence of what happened with this particular car, but they have refused to show it to me, or perhaps it doesn't exist.  Classic Volkswagen Dieselgate move.  It must have been Bosch all along!!  Does GM Michael Christian care about COVID?  Well, apparently that Creepy Sales Associate who lowered his mask at me got a 'firm talking to' suitable for any high-performer in sales.  And Indigo's General Counsel, Magnus Rayos, even chimed in over email to assure whatever Creepy SA did was in total compliance with their policies.  (I guess that means that Esq. Rayos determined that the security tapes no longer exist?) A decade ago, when this was Sonnen Porsche, the team was actually outstanding.  Shortly after getting a car at Sonnen, I broke my arm and so stick-shift became pretty much impossible.  Sonnen got me into a loaner with an automatic (not for free, but cheap!) before I even saw an orthopedist.  Years later, when the motor in the car went kaboom, they fixed it (under warranty) in a couple of days.  Since then, I've bought several cars at other dealers, yet have encountered nothing like the nightmare that is Indigo Porsche Marin. That said, I have also never met Travis Kalanick.  But sadly, I have had to deal with GM Michael Christian. Endnote: As the business owner describes in their response to this review, yes this dealer does purchase lots of masks, PPE, and I've seen them sanitize the loaner car. That said, when I went to sign the Bill of Sale, I saw several "front office" employees not wearing masks, and the Creepy Sales Associate really is as Creepy as he sounds-- he's a brazen anti-masker. I decided that it was a good time to go after my dream car: Porsche Macan! I was introduced to Andrew via a friend and colleague who shared some options that fit into my desires and budget. While the exact car sold just before I made it to the dealer, he presented an even better option, a Turbo! It was time for my 40k mile service and I decided to call Porsche Marin for an appointment since it is much closer than Carlsen Porsche where the car was purchased. I did my initial 2 services at Porsche Marin as well and it went smoothly (which is not necessarily a good thing because while I wasn't angry or disappointed, I also was not impressed with their service) They didn't have an appointment with a loaner car available for almost 2 months. While this seemed like a long time to wait (I never had to wait more than a week with my last car (from San Francisco BMW), I decided to book the appointment anyway. After waiting almost 2 months, I drove to Porsche Marin today and was excited to get the service (and get the service reminder turned off) as well as take a look at the new inventory since I may be interested in an upgrade at the end of the year. When I arrived, no one really seemed interested in helping me and then I was told that they were out of loaner cars and that I would have to walk to Enterprise rent a car. Keep in mind that I could have gotten the service a lot earlier without a loaner car, but I waited almost 2 months. In general, I guess this all shouldn't be that big of a deal, however before I purchased my first Porsche, I guess I assumed that there would be a certain level of service provided with the Porsche name. I am not talking about a nice lounge with a massage chair and a personal barista, but at least a friendly greeter and a loaner car as promised. So, I left the dealership and set up a service with Carlsen Porsche next week. They were happy to get me in as soon as possible and make sure there is a loaner car waiting for me. And should I decide to stick with Porsche and purchase a Cayenne in October as planned, I will definitely not be doing it at Porsche Marin. read more

In 2020 I purchased a GT4 from this dealership. I'm based in Tiburon and a local customer. In 2023, I was looking to trade up to a 992 GT3. For my GT4, the salesperson offered me $40k less than market value and for the GT3 they offered me a $50k markup to msrp. I was told this trade would earn "relationship" points for future "in demand" cars. What a load of sh!t. Who ever is running this dealership clearly doesn't care about the local customers. My Porsche was a 2014 and had an extended warranty that I bought from marin porsche. I got my car back 3 weeks Iater and weis my porsche counselor told me everything was fixed and ready to go. When I got in the car, my stereo would not turn on. Then I found out that they had to take my car from the dealership to San Rafael because that's where they take all the cars to work on 30 minutes a way driving my car. I didn't know that they take cars away from the dealership to get worked and have no idea why they unplugged my stereo system. After getting my car back 3 hours later weis told me someone went to lunch and that's why it took so long To drive my car back. weis My porsche counselor told me that there were a couple of hundred in parts that the extended warranty did not cover and and that I would have to talk to Fidelity The extended warranty company. I asked them what parts i was being charged for, and he said that I had to talk to the extended warranty company. I said if you can charge me for it, you can tell me what I'm being charged for. I called Fidelity the extended warranty company and they said they paid out everything. Fidelity and I try to call up Porsche to figure out what was going on ask to speak to manager it's been a week, and they have not called back . And I'm still getting strange sounds from my car and the problem has not been repaired in this is after almost $5000 This has been a really horrible experience. Fidelity the extended warranty company has been fantastic they've tried to help me as best they can . They really went above and beyond to try to help me . This review is for the buying team of Ethan and Daryl (the manager). After exchanging emails and being told there will be no BS for the sale of my Porsche, what I experienced was nothing but BS. When I brought my Porsche in to be appraised, Ethan and Daryl (who was extremely inappropriately dressed for a manager) took turns trying to trick and manipulate me. When I called Ethan on his BS, Daryl took over the conversation to try and mislead me and vice versa. When I was given a printout of the features in my Porsche and its features and options, it was incomplete. When I pointed out several features were excluded (GPS, ceramic brakes) from the printout, they both ignored me. When I pointed out I paid $100k for the vehicle and their sheet said I purchased it for $72k, Daryl said the additional $28k I paid was for taxes, fees, and registration. Those numbers simply do not make sense. When I told them respectful on-line vehicle valuation sites valued my vehicle at $34,000, both said those sites could not be trusted. Daryl even showed me his phone, where he had already inputted data into Kelly Blue Book not in my presence, and said my vehicle was only valued at $25,000. When I asked Daryl to reset the valuation and we can do input the data together, Daryl ignored me. Ethan and Daryl offered me $27k and said they could only sell it for $29k. On the other hand, both said they needed to spend $5k to make the vehicle Porsche certified. When confronted on this lack of profit, they ignored me. When shown other Porsche dealerships, online sites, and private sellers who had comparable prices of $33k - $36k, Ethan and Daryl rambled about not being able to trust those sites. Do not waste your time here as they will try to manipulate you and trick you into helping them make a 40% profit margin. I sold it privately for $35k with no hassles. Because of my experience, I will never go to Porsche Marin again and I will never recommend them. read more

I just bought a vehicle and not even 60 days old needed to replace brakes and rotors. When called for reimbursement Ben the manager explained the car was bought as is and no reimbursement would be given. I would not recommend buying a car from this dealership. The car should be inspected and advised to the buyer of any upcoming repairs that may be needed. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more
