Great sub shop!! Must try if you want a smile and a sub. Make sure to download the app for a free small sub!

Dreary strip mall, dining room and sandwich. I didnt stop in because I like this place, I actually remember not liking Port of Subs in a different location. Yesterday I found my self near this location on the way home from the airport and was starving after a full morning of travel. The strip mall was bleak and I guess there must me a homeless camp near by. Most shops were closed on a Sunday so I made a quick choice of PoS over Starbucks. After I entered a homeless woman entered and had to plead her case to get a restroom key, as they kept them locked. They only had one and a restroom break was the second reason for stopping for lunch. She was in there the entire time. On to the sub, it was sad, flimsy, and flat. Squashed thin by the panini style sandwich warmer, only the microwave would have been a worse method to warm this sandwich, fatty pastrami didnt help. Service was just fine, but if I had to leave the owner some notes they would be clean the place up, declutter, and find a better lay out for your completely thoughtless covid compliant table layout. Eliminating seasonal decorations also might help in making the place look more fresh. You also have the wrong bread for a panini press.

Came here on my lunch break and everyone working was super nice so 5 stars for customer service! There was nothing wrong with my sandwich but would not say it was great. I would definitely choose this over Subway any day but I feel like there are much better options for Sandwiches in the Tempe area.

So according to a review Subway is better...that almost stopped me from going to this place for lunch. I ordered the #1 which was the Italian sub, I got it on white bread and was far from being disappointed. First off they cut/shave the meat right there in front of you (this was awesome except seeing the young lady who was cutting continually wiping the sweat off of her forehand) they don't have an array of topics, but what they have is all that you need. When I bit in to my sandwich, I noticed everything was super fresh. The bread had the perfect texture, and the bonus, it had a nice salty taste. Mixed with the the vinegar and oil that I never get at Subway (because of the soggy bread effect) this was just the finishing touch. Port of Subs blows Subway and Jimmy Johns with their "lightening speed" straight out of the water. (Lame closing in 3....2...1...) I definitely will port here again haha

I don't even know what this is... ordered a Buffalo sub got uncooked chicken / soggy bread / rude service

This is my go to lunch spot because it's REALLY close and the small sub actually fills me up really good. It's a little less than $6 dollars

Good but I am sure the staff is high. Or retarded. Also, they do not use enough meat.

Goldman's Deli Where Your Soul and Your Stomach Both Get Hugged…read more If comfort food had a headquarters, it might very well be Goldman's Deli. Walk through the door and suddenly you're not just hungry you're home. The smells alone could make a grown person misty-eyed. Now let's talk about the pastrami. Lean, tender, and stacked so generously you start wondering if the sandwich needs its own zip code. One bite and you understand why people keep coming back. Two bites and you're already planning your next visit. The soups? Forget therapy have a bowl. Rich, comforting, and restorative. The kind of soup that makes you feel like somewhere in the kitchen a grandmother is quietly nodding with approval. And then there's the gefilte fish. Not the ordinary, polite little slice. This one is special delicate, flavorful, and downright magnificent. Even people who say, "Eh... I'm not sure about gefilte fish," suddenly become believers. There's a little schmaltz, a lot of love, and the unmistakable magic of real Jewish deli cooking. Eat there, take some home, and tell your friends because food this good shouldn't be kept a secret. You might arrive hungry, but you'll leave smiling, a little fuller, and possibly needing a short nap which is the highest compliment a deli can receive. And as they say with a wink and a warm heart: "Zei gezunt, un es gezunterheit eat in good health!" Or in plain deli English: "May you always be healthy... and may your sandwich always be this good." I don't know why I do this to myself. I woke up craving chopped chicken liver. don't know why. I…read moreinvited my husband to Goldman's which was the only place that came to mind for the liver but he politely declined, not being a fan. So I trecked 5 miles out of my way to Goldman's (when Chompie's was just a mile away --frankly I don't know why I didn't think about chompies) I ordered the chopped chicken liver appetizer which comes with slices of tomato, a piece of lettuce, slice of red onion, and challah bread. I paid $15.01 for this platter (lol) without a tip for a small scoop of the liver. Just look at the photo. I was shocked to see how small it was. I thought that with a base price of $13.99 that the scoop would be bigger or at least the same size as in the past when it was $9.99. The challah bread was yellow but did not take like challah. Yellow bread slices do not delicious challah bread make--no yeasty flavor as any good challah would have. So here I am regretting that I didn't give chompie's a try. I can assure you that I will not be returning to Goldman's. I know ingredients have gone up but this price for such a small scoop is an affront to the wallet.
