They did a great job on some furniture that had been in my aunt's unlived-in house for two years. No VOCs or toxic substance and got the stains out, too....I just wish they'd wear ear plugs. And if you are going to stay in the area where they are working, you should use ear plugs....friendly and reasonably priced. I have a gray upholstered sofa that had seen a lot of abuse from my two dogs-pet hair and potty stains in particular. I called on a Thursday and was really surprised at how reasonable the prices were (my pet stained sofa was within the $98 minimum charge) so I set up an appointment for the following Monday. They sent out 2 guys who called ahead and were right on time. They came in and thoroughly cleaned every inch of my sofa. They left the entire area looking clean and nice and set up the cushions so they would dry properly. They were done within an hour and my sofa looks great! I can't believe how clean my sofa is. I still can't believe it!!! I called Portable Plus as a result of reading all the other high-praising Yelp reviews and was not disappointed in the least. My sofa, poor thing, was in awful shape. I'd rather not discuss the details but let's just say my cats seemed to enjoy using it for vomiting target practice, and my attempts to remove the stains myself had resulted in creating larger water/enzyme cleaner stains that wouldn't evaporate. I am moving to a new place and don't want to take the filth with me, so I called Portable Plus a few days ago for a last-minute appointment and very fortunately they were able to accommodate me. I just had these guys clean my area rug and they were awesome! My rug is beige and suffered from some pretty heavy foot traffic in places. Leon and Oliver came in and immediately got to work. The places where there was foot traffic didnt return to their original color, but Leon explained that it was the wearing of the pile, not dirt. After seeing my sad face, they tried some stronger substance and went back over it. I think it helped. Then they brushed it in one direction to dry. Leon educated me on how to take care of the rug better (I hadn't really done anything for it) and cut me some slack on the bill. Overall, the guys were great and affordable and I'm pleased with the outcome and know how to treat my rug better going forward. I had never had a rug cleaned before, I just threw them away. I really like this company. This is the second time I have used them and I am always impressed by the price and the work and the clean up after! I hate when there is water dripping or my bathtub is left with residue after a company has left. I would never use anyone else. They cleaned my couch when I really didn't think these stains were going to come out this time (2 kids under 4 and some coffee spilling grownups). My rug is unbelievable, couch looks awesome and two random stains I had on an upstairs bedroom carpet, all gone! And, the price was less than I had paid to just have the couch cleaned alone before I hired this company the first time. Leon was a God sent for me!! I live in LA and own a home in Chicago that I rent out. I called him to do an in home cleaning of a beautiful white ottoman that a guest had gotten a blue ink stain on. I had never met him and based on schedule had him go into my home on a loxbox key. While he was there he cleaned my beautiful rug and made it look brand new. Unfortunately Leon couldn't get out the blue stain but he tried everything, even transpoting it himself to and from my house and to the reupholsterer that I ultimately needed to use. He used hard chemicals that he warned me may get out the blue stain (which it did!) but was a risk to use because my fabric was white and it could make the treated spot more white than the cream of the fabric. I knew it was a risk and tried anyways. Talk about above and beyond!!! He didn't change me for hours of work and transportation that he did for my ottoman because of the spot looking a bit white than the rest of the piece, even though I as a customer knew that there was risk in using harsh chemicals on my fragile fabric. He was so more than fair with me, I can't believe it as this was the first time I used him and he owed me nothing. It definitely is not the last!!! I find myself trying to find a way to use him on anything I can at my house and trust him completely in my home.
