The service was very friendly and the wait was alright. It took a while to get the food but not too long. The inside of the restaurant is very decorated with TONS of little objects and pictures that make each restaurant unique. I got the big beef which was super tasty and I would recommend. That being said, I still don't think their beef is that good. I want it to be better. I had it 10 years ago and liked it a lot more than I do now. I don't know if that's because of COVID or what, but these Portillo's are slamming with business. The lines are always long, so I'd expect their sandwiches to have more flavor. I did what may be sacrilegious to some- I added cheese sauce. Honestly, I don't remember if I liked it or not. The cheese sauce was good, but I don't recall if I liked it on the beef sandwich because it was in April 2021- so, 1 year ago. But OMG their desserts!!!! My overall review is based off of every Portillo's I've ever eaten at.... So yes... Eat at Portillo's, the Italian beef's are always great, it you find one with the pasta... I 100 percent recommend with the garlic bread and extra Alfredo sauce for your left overs. Lemon cakes are great, chocolate cake was my favorite but they stop putting the nestle chips on the cakes, I don't order the chocolate as much as I use too but I still enjoy this restaurant!!!! Ugh everything about it is perfect. From the hot peppers piled on top to the poppyseed bun holding it all together, you haven't had a proper hot dog until you've come here.
