Forgot to do this review! We were there in August. Our friends just moved to Oswego. We have been so excited to go to the actual restaurant because all we had tried was the sandwiches we had shipped to Ohio! The restaurant is amazing! It's huge and it smells unbelievable in there. Didn't even realize it was a hot dog place cuz all we had tried before was the beef sandwiches. So we got hotdogs and milkshakes! I got the chili cheese dog and it was delicious!!! My husband for the Chicago style dog. He said he was so good!! The fries were decent. The chocolate milkshake I had was really good but the chocolate cake shake that my husband got was incredible. He said it was the best milkshake he has ever had. He has been craving it ever since!

    Combo sandwich?

Very disappointed with their service lately (regular customer). This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks it's been like this. There's my combo sandwich after one bite, looks pretty skimpy, when I pulled it out of the bag I thought they got my order wrong. I actually thought they gave me hotdog until I opened it. They forgot the cheese for my cheese fries. Was such a great place to go for food now I'll be rethinking if I'll go again.

My first time trying Portillos and it's one of my favorite fast food chains now. From the hot dogs , fries, and dessert-so good. The inside is cool and retro with ample seating. The chocolate cake is to die for. The cake shake is even better omg. Also, the staff is really friendly. Can't wait to visit Illinois again just to eat at Portillos.

They forgot my cheese and after she repeated my order assuming she knew what I had in the bag, I didn't get the cheese. Worst place.

Asadoras Argentina Burgers is kind of a small place but the menu is actually humongous. Has lots of interesting toppings and more. The prices are okay for the large portions. A lot of choices to make when getting a burger. It's got a few patties to choose from. They have beef along with a black bean chipotle patty. Can get meaty or plant based. Of course there's all the crazy toppings. Has beers. It's about $6 a bottle. There's imports such as Estrella. It's about $15 to get the Vegetarian Combo. We figured this was our best option. It comes with a black bean chipotle patty burger. Toppings include arugula, mozzarella which I left off, mushrooms, and onions. Among the sides are fries. There's also salads. For sure it was better than expected. It's located in the strip mall with the other Mexican restaurant. There's a few options for vegetarians.

A happy hour always helps. The food can get pricy but there's a few things at okay prices. Coming here was actually kind of hard because of where it actually is. It's kind of hidden from the main road. There's only one way to get in here and you have to make the correct turns. Has a bar with a good amount of seats at it. Rest of the inside has plenty of tables. It's $7 for cocktail specials at happy hour. The best one of these we got was the Caramel Harvest Spritz. Has a sweetness to it. This is made with apple cider, soda, and Wheatley vodka. It's $14 for the B.Y.O.B. Burger. We added $1 more to get the veggie patty. Looks a lot like a typical burger. These come with a side such as fries. Have to say it turned out pretty good actually. It's closed Mondays. There's another location in Westmont.

I appreciated they allowed a special meal for the MOB who is a vegetarian. The sugar donuts at the end of the meal were a hit! :) Alyssa, the party coordinator for the venue was super accomodating and super easy to work with. It does take a few days for response time - BUT, I always got a response. And she was always willing to give us everything we asked for! The venue even let us in earlier than requested to set up our decor. We would definitely recommend this venue for a bridal/baby shower or birthday party - any special event that is smaller in numbers. The venue has been advertising a new addition to the space next to building but it seems the construction has haulted. It is a shame because it is a bit of an eyesore - BUT, if they complete this addition, it will be beautiful. Hope they are able to complete it. The Gray's Mills has history with it's town so I hope locals will continue to support it. When we come back to visit our son and my new daughter-in-law, we will definitely be back for a visit - especially if the weather is nice!! Mozzarella sticks for example were $12 which, I dunno, kinda seems high for a simple appetizer. We ended up splitting a burger, a buffalo chicken wrap, and some chicken pasta between the three of us. The burger definitely began as a frozen patty without much flavor and certainly nothing to get overly excited about. The wrap had just a small handful of buffalo chicken in it, as I found myself literally searching for it as it was eaten. Paid an extra $2 for sweet potato fries and they all tasted burnt.
