Tonight 08/04, me and my son took a drive as he's currently learning. We decided we'd go pick up some food on Uber Eats bc of course I forgot my purse and only had uber money lol. Put In our order and come to the store, come to find out.... I ordered at the wrong store. As me and my son book it to try and get to the one we placed the order from, the amazing manager I believe his name was Tom came running after us! He asks if we placed an order at the wrong store and of course we said yes. He the tells us he'll call and cancel it for us and get us situated there. Honestly could care less if I get reimbursed. It was the quick reaction to helping a customer who made a very silly mistake. It was him and the wonderful lady who was helping prep the food at the pick up bar that went above and beyond for us! Stopped by last minute with my wife to satisfy a craving, and it definitely hit the spot. Even though it was moderately busy, ordering at the kiosk was quick and seamless. The dining area was well-maintained with plenty of seating, and I was impressed by how clean and fully stocked the condiment and drink station was. As for the food, the hot dogs were on point--flavorful, though the buns were just a little on the soggy side. The fries and onion rings, however, were excellent and perfectly cooked. My only minor gripe is that I still wish they offered fresh-brewed iced tea. Overall, it was a solid visit and we'll definitely be back! . read more

Honestly, for a place that specializes in hot dogs, they're barely mediocre. The big beef and the chocolate cake are still pretty good, the fries were not and tasted stale. It's a really good place with a beautiful big inside and cool decorations. The menu is pretty big and has good variety of food. Burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, etc. everything you could want at any burger joint and the staff are all extremely friendly and nice. If you go here get a burger or sandwich with fries. It's all fantastic and worth the price of what you're paying for and it's for sure a beautiful inside. The burger has a good char flavor way better than Burger King and the fries are crispy with just enough salt on them so they're not too salty. I would for sure come back here again to try out other stuff too when I come back in the future. There are no criticisms from me at all when it comes to this place and I like that there is more than enough seating inside for there to be multiple parties or people. read more

Portillos queen creek. I had the one in Buena Park ca. both are equally just as good and consistent Beef sand with sweet pepper. Dip on the side. Lots of good quality meat. Not dry at all. So good when you dip it. Also got a chopped salad. Pretty fresh quality ingredients. Had pasta. Interesting but it works Extra credit to the local beer. So cold. One of the coldest beers ever served to us. Overall good food especially when you need a late night meal. Cause everything else closes early in this side of town read more

I've been to Portillo's in Queen Creek many times, and when they're good, they're good but unfortunately, I've found their food to be super inconsistent. They have a convenient drive thru for ordering and they seem to cook food to order. The menu items I like the most here are their broiled chicken sandwich, fries, onion rings, and some of the seasonal salads. They also offer other items like hot dogs, sausages, burgers, etc. which I know are super popular. I have been inside and their indoor seating is spacious. They are pretty timely in getting food out. Food was disgusting! Hot dogs were boiled too long could barely get my teeth through it,it was like rubber and they were fresh because we had to wait for him to make them. Pickles were old for the Chicago dog and couldn't even break them without twisting them. French fries had so much salt that if you have high blood pressure skip those all together. I've been here on two occasions. I was excited when I heard they were coming since I've heard good things about it. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype. The ambiance (if that's what you want to call it) is what you would expect from a rest stop on the highway. Just a place with lots of highway decor serving a variety of food to try and appeal to as many pallets as possible. It's a great don't want to cook, let's take the kids to get something really quick, because no one can agree on what to eat type of place. The folks that work there are nice enough, but it's an order at the counter and pickup at the corner establishment. So not a place to rate service on. Unless you had a bad experience ordering which I have not. I will say this... don't bother ordering the steak sandwich. It's nothing like the image they have posted everywhere. All you get is the bread and the steak. You have to pay extra for cheese, extra for the peppers, extra for au jus. By the time you piece all together it's almost $20. I placed my order at right around 10 pm and arrived at the restaurant at about 10:05. I went to the drive thru and asked if I could pick up my order there and a very kind young man said he'd be happy to hand me my order at the drive thru. When I pulled up, they were still preparing my order, which I'd expected. A young woman working that area saw me and let me know it would be another couple minutes because I'd asked for well done fries. She was so kind and I apologized, saying that I realized they were getting ready to close and I hated to come so close to closing. She smiled and said it's not a problem. When she gave me my order she was so nice and wished me a wonderful evening. I've worked in the restaurant industry and know that 30 minutes from close, no one really wants to see a customer, but the two team members I interacted with made me feel welcome and appreciated. I couldn't be happier that I decided to pick up some food from the Queen Creek Portillo's this evening. My fries were prepared just as I asked, were piping hot, and totally hit the spot! I love Portillo's. This location has always been a smooth running vessel since they opened last year. The management team has been captaining this ship like pro's across the waters. Yesterday despite being almost deserted they got my order wrong not once but twice, as after I brought my incorrectly made burger up to the counter they gave me an equally incorrect burger. The Coke dispenser stuck when I was refilling my cup, resulting in a waterfall of soda just spilling from the machine. Seems like they have a new captain aboard who is sailing the ship into troubled waters. I hope he gets the crew up to speed before they crash this fine vessel into the rocks. read more

The QC and Gilbert locations are two of the best in the area. While some Chicago transplants will argue about the best beef in Chicago and put down the chain, not me! Food: All the best Chicago specials are featured here. Hot dogs have gone up in price since my college days in the city, when I could get a Demon Dog with fries for $1.29. Still a Chicago classic even at the new price point. Beef MUST be ordered wet or dipped to fully savor the flavor. Fries are solid here as well. Love that the new Queen Creek location is open! I've eaten at multiple locations in multiple states and I have always had great food and service and this new location is no exception! Brought the hubby here for dinner tonight since he's never eaten at one before and he's now a huge fan! He got the rodeo burger and said it was outstanding. We also loved the onion rings. We got the cheese fries to try and it wasn't a thumbs up. It's just French fries with a side of that nasty tasting nacho cheese out of a can. Sorry but that's a no go for us. But that's okay now we know and we will pass on it next time. But that's just my humble opinion. I had the Italian meat sandwich with mozzarella cheese and sweet peppers. Got the gravy on the side to dip it in. Yummy! Next time I'll get it with double cheese and order it wet with a side of gravy for dipping because come on can you really have to much gravy? I think not! Inside of the restaurant is decorated with the usual Portillos decor and it is nice and clean. Love the self serve drink station. We were in Queen Creek visiting friends and decided to stop here for dinner. Typical Portillo's experience! Easy fast ordering and affordable. I got the spicy chicken sandwich which is a deep fried filet with onion rings. The sandwich was excellent The chicken was well cooked and it was delicious. The end rings are always good here. My wife got her usual The Italian beef sandwich with sweet peppers and it was also very good. I will say that it seems like the portion sizes have been getting smaller and smaller she used to be able to only half of the sandwich. The chopped salad was large and very good, the house dressing is a little underwhelming though. I don't know why but they always seem to skip over my order when they're calling numbers out for pickup. The people we were with all got their food and we didn't get ours for another couple of minutes. Solid experience quality food definitely recommend stopping here. read more

My sister had told me about this place so as we drove by, on our way to Costco, we decided to stop and give them a try. The place was nice and clean at 12:45 PM on a Tuesday. We ordered the hotdog special. Who is one of the best hotdogs I've ever had and the french fries were hot in Crispy! The atmosphere is fun and we love the funny sayings that they have connected to your order number when your order is ready. We'll be back! read more

Since seeing this location being built, I have been intrigued to check it out as it is closer to my house than the Tempe location though I don't often make it out this way. After trying the Plant-based Garden Dog, I will definitely have to make it this way more often! Absolutely delicious and it was under $5! Additionally, the service was very friendly and loved the ability to track my order on the screen. Once seated, I took in all the unique decor and felt cozy in the booth. Out of all the restaurants, my friend could choose from for his birthday, he chose Portillo's. It is consistently great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere with good music. We are never disappointed with our hotdogs, garden dogs, fries, and most recently icy cold beer. 4 stars for the super slow service. First time at this location. It felt bigger inside than the others around the valley. We ordered our food then found a spot to sit. It's nice they have a drink station so you don't have to keep going back up to the counter to ask like in other locations. I walked up to wait for our food number to be called. The place was not busy but yet I waited almost 20 minutes for my food. When we opened our bag my Chicago hotdog was made sloppy and bun soggy as if it had been sitting. My grandson ordered the fish sandwich and it was put together sloppy also, the cheese was mostly on the outside of the sandwich and stuck to the bottom of the box instead of placed in the center of the sandwich. We've tried Portillo's twice now and never again. We want to like it. It's clean, well staffed and the menu sounds great but the food is horrible! Drive thru doesn't accept cash. We dined in and placed our order to be told she doesn't accept cash and we needed to be rung in by the other cashier. Inconvenient! This location has serve yourself soda, where the Gilbert location is not. The hamburger meat was so tough and flavorless and the bun was hard. The Chicago dog bun was soggy and the hot dog was rubbery. Whataburgers chicken tenders are so much better than Portillo's. The chicken was tough too. I got a side of BBQ sauce and it was sweet, didn't like that either. We ordered fries and onion rings and they were so salty. Best part of our $31 meal was my Diet Coke. The menu and food should be amazing, people rave over Portillos, but this was not worth the money and we threw most of the food away. read more

Co-worker and I try to visit this location several times. They refuse to take more then 1 order in a 2 lane Drive thru, They give me the strangest excuses, The last time I was at this location I asked a worker, Are you still only doing 1 order at a time in Drive thru, She didn't know what i was talking about and asked a manager, She came back and told me the Manager told her, "If we did two orders in Drive thru, You would get your first order and have to wait longer for your second order." She was dead serious and saw nothing wrong with that excuse, I even said its a Two lane Drive thru, Several times I just order 2 Hotdogs and was giving my Food with 3 cars infront of me. I was able to get out of line and drive off easy. So tell me again why I can't wait alittle while longer for my second order? I would eat her 5 times a week if they didn't have these very strange confusing rules. I can see why this place barely has any business and most of my Co-workers refuse to eat here. They all say the Tempe Location is better. Also Not much of anything Chicago related. it looks like a hospital Caffieria. So no 2 orders?
