Decided to stop into Muffin Can Stop Us for a little breakfast at lunchtime. As others have noted, the parking lot is a touch tricky, with most of the spots reserved for other businesses; so you have to juggle between what's left in the lot and what's available on the street. Not a big deal at this time of day, but could be difficult at high-volume times. The place itself is a fun and funky spot, with a bold yellow decor evoking egg yolk "distressed" by artsy graffiti, and homey, antique shop-looking tables and couches (though tables outside are of a more uniform, weather resistant type). Despite the homey touches in the design, the menu itself could be described as marginally elevated fast food devoid of any home-cooked touches. A selection of egg sandwiches served on English muffins, some actual muffins of the blueberry type, and some blended drinks and coffees, etc. Nothing all that inventive or interesting, and certainly not reaching the creativity or execution of EggSlut. I opted for the traditional American Sandwich with bacon, egg and cheddar, but without aioli, as I'm not keen to put mayo on my egg sandwiches. I also ordered a side of hash browns and a Diet Coke. Once delivered, the sandwich in reality was even less exciting than its description. Rather than the sunny side up egg prominently displayed in all the photos, the sandwich was delivered with an egg over hard, ergo there was no yolk to add creaminess or flavor to the sandwich. Bacon and cheese were standard issue with no specific taste to distinguish them from what any teen might make at home. The jumbo-sized Thomas' English Muffin is appreciated, but was served under-cooked and doughy. Likewise, the hash brown patty was of the generic commercial type, and came lukewarm without much crisp. Given how dry and bland it all was, I decided to try a dab of the mayo-looking sauce that was included in an unmarked plastic packet -- indeed, it was a slightly spicy, very artificial-tasting commercial mayo that actually made the bite worse. So, while the concept is a fun one, the look of the place amusing, and the staff quite friendly, the bland, haphazardly prepared food really is a disappointment, and I see no reason to return.
A lazy Sunday morning adrift in the sea of hunger and once again my nose leads me to another contender of a great breakfast on a beautiful day. I opted to have a refreshing peach infused ice tea that was a pleasant passenger to the Sausage Redemption I ordered which came in a handy paper holder that kept my hands clean! Flavor profile wise, the aioli brightened up the flavors of the sausage and the egg, and made me audibly MMMM in joy. I can't under praise the hashbrowns, as they were the right amount of salty and weren't heavy and super oily. The staff had the brightest smiles on their faces and genuinely seemed to enjoy have conversations with their customers as we ate our food. Something about humans connecting always makes my food taste better, that's for sure. We didn't break the bank either, since I definitely got my money's worth. I have a whole menu on my try list now! I was looking forward to some waffles and an egg sandwich this morning. My friend and I ordered Muffin Can Stop Us via postmates this morning and were utterly shocked at the waffles that came in. The waffles had 2 black and furry looking mold on them. I'm at a loss of words to be honest because I was expecting better and was given good reviews about this spot. I can't speak on the service and ambiance since wasn't physically at their location but I hope they work in their quality control. On a brighter note, the egg was fresh and tasty.
Decent muffin shop, the muffin sandwich was made fast and employees are friendly. Sausage redemption 3/5. Solid sausage muffin that has cheese and sausage. For the price of $9 it is a bit steep. McDonald's is definitely better for price and taste.
I saw that Muffin Can Stop Me's rating went down a little, and I honestly wanted to leave a review because this place deserves some love. This has been one of my favorite breakfast spots in LA for a long time. I've ordered from here so many times, especially on those days when I need something quick, delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. And they have never disappointed me. The quality has always been good, my orders always arrive fresh, and everything tastes exactly the way I expect and in time! This is the reason I keep coming back. And I have to give a special shoutout to their hash browns: honestly, one of my favorite hash browns in LA. Perfectly crispy, not greasy, and always cooked just right. This is definitely one of my go-to breakfast places, and I'll happily keep supporting them.
Just stopped by for breakfast, usually people in the morning are not very friendly or full of personality. But I was so impressed to find a gentleman names Gil at the counter who was so helpful so sweet and such good positive energy. Not only is there food and coffee great but Gil literally was the cherry on top. I highly recommend this place.

Like it was a p warm day when I was in there last and it was still hotter inside than out. Sometimes owners skip on ac in a misguided attempt to save money, which is a bad call for workers, guests, and general vibes. Plus it seems like there's no management. Staff was working hard, but no one doing expo work or just overseeing the whole flow of operations. Nixing management positions is another weird thing owners do to save on operation costs. Hoping they're doing ok. Would be a shame to lose a favorite local breakfast spot. Staff definitely deserves better.
A good spot for a grab-and-go breakfast as it is reasonably priced, with quick service and made to order items. However, there are no restrooms at this location which makes it inconvenient if you like to wash your hands before eating. The indoor space has loud music and a bold yellow and black color scheme. Outdoor seating includes benches and bar style tables with umbrellas. While muffins are the namesake here, they're not the only option. The menu also includes waffles, parfaits, oatmeal and hash browns. An interesting variety of coffee, tea and lemonade complements the breakfast offerings. That said, the Americanos we ordered were disappointing: cold, weak and ultimately tossed after one sip. We tried the bacon and sausage muffins, and both were delicious. They reminded us of a more upscale version of a McDonald's breakfast sandwich but slightly larger and better quality. I'm torn if I would go back only because my morning coffee is just as important as the meal.
First timers. For starters the manager is such a catch. Great energy, and very welcoming. The sandwiches were sooo good as expected , they are just like the pictures. I love and gold muffin sandwich. So good we forgot to include them in the photos. And just for it being our first time Gale , the manager , gave us 2 free samplers of the fruit bowls... mmm mm mm , what a delicious way to end our experience, 10/10. We will be back. We also got to sit outside and enjoy our food during this good summer weather as enjoy the esthetic, not to mention the air conditioning really works inside we did want to switch spots.

I took off the top bun & used a hash brown instead & it was delicious. My fiance got the bacon cheddar sandwich & added avocado & that was good too Definitely recommend if you're craving a good breakfast sandwich !

cute place but disappointing food. Everything was gummy. I ordered a muffin egg cheese, bacon sandwich. The muffin was gummy. The egg was overcooked and super rubbery. There was one slice of bacon and the cheese had melted out into the bottom of the box that the sandwich came in. They have lots of different muffin sandwiches. next time, I would definitely ask for the muffin to be toasted. The people were very nice. I asked if they refill coffee and they said no, but the gentleman behind the counter offered to give me more coffee. I passed -- the coffee was not good. They have inside and outside seating. Parking can be a big challenge!!!
We've been passing by this spot for quite a while and finally decided to give it a try--and it did not disappoint! We're usually not big fans of muffins, but we decided to try one and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious, but the highlight of our visit was definitely the coffee drinks. They were flavorful, well-made, and the perfect complement to our treats. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. She was incredibly patient in explaining the menu and helping us choose what to try. Excellent customer service always makes a difference, and it made our experience even more enjoyable. The café itself may not be very big, but it is absolutely charming and cozy. We really enjoyed dining there and appreciated the warm, inviting atmosphere. I really had high hopes for this as a friend loved it. My experience really warrants less than 3 stars, but... The sandwich was no better than McDonald's. The bread was dry, bacon was cheap, egg was not fresh (fully cooked - no runny yolk). The hash browns were unevenly cooked - nearly raw and a little crisp at times. The waffles were soggy. And the caramel latte was actually worse than McDonald's. Sorry. A bit of a bust for me. read more

I love it! The service was so amazing. Each of the sandwiches were so good, and the coffee drinks were amazing too. Highly recommend the horchata because they use a cinnamon agave that you can really taste the flavor. Definitely will come back here when I'm in the area again. 'Muff said. read more
Great catchy name, had to stop in, and try the food. I did not realize all the great sandwiches that were offered. I ordered a cup of Joe, and the banana-nut muffin. The Salmon sandwich really looked good and I will try that next time. Its graffiti decor is cool and the disco funk music playing gave it a hip vibe. The service was great. The energy was good and friendly, perfect for a morning. The food was delivered within 5 minutes or so, the coffee was tasty. I do not add anything to my coffee so the taste is key. Plenty of parking, at least at 930 am Like me if you drive by and see the sign, you have to take the opportunity and stop , and enjoy a cup and a muffin, or a coffee drink or a sandwich, cause it's more than just muffins. This place is amazing for breakfast, it's quick, simple, and very tasty. I had the chicken sausage, egg & cheese English muffin with a side of hash brown patty and it didn't disappoint at all. The lady there was very pleasant and nice. I also had the matcha with strawberry cold foam and it tasted better than Starbucks! Love this place and will get it every time I'm in Studio City. read more

A limited selection of items but good none the less. Tried the tea and the sausage redemption. Not a fan of runny egg my only kinda complaint but good breakfast spot before hitting universal studios if in the area. read more

I love the name of this spot ! The prices are affordable . The service is amazing . There's even some parking! I had the Sloppy Chorizo Breakfast Sandwich which was awesome. The pricing is great also , compared to other places in the area. A huge breakfast sandwich only costs $8.50! a similar sandwich was 15.95 at a recent restaurant I went to last week . The ambiance also reminds me of Sunday Morning! There's outside seating as well. The menu is simple and adding avocados and fried eggs to many sandwiches makes them super delicious! Will definitely come back here ! read more

Cute little spot in studio city for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. There isn't a ton of parking so keep that in mind but it's worth parking and walking to. When you walk in you're hit with accents of yellow and cozy corners to sit down. They have a couch, a table with chairs, and a couple other seats. You can tell that this spot usually gets busy and I did see people coming in and out (a lot of uber eats/doordash orders too). I ordered their Dream Come True and a Matcha Madness. My partner ordered a classic Americano sandwich and a Banana Boat Latte. My sandwich was good and had the basic ingredients to a yummy breakfast sandwich, my only feedback is I wish the bread was more toasted and they added more sauce. The hashbrown is just another hashbrown patty you'd get anywhere, it didn't stick out much. The matcha was not my style, it's good but it mainly tasted like milk with vanilla (I prefer my matcha be more rich). My partner ate his sandwich real fast and said it was enough to satisfy a quick breakfast. The banana latte was sweet and yummy! The customer service was stellar, they were very kind and did their best to get our order out since they had a ton of orders! Overall I would come back for a sandwich. read more

We stumbled on this place and I am so happy we did. The muffin was honestly bigger than i expected which was so nice. SO worth the price!!!! And we got the banana coffee half sweet and it was so so yum. I drink a lot of coffee and it was pleasant to see a latte that's under $5 !! The sweetest man working also brought us some berries and whip cream which was the perfect little snack muffin can stop us from coming back every time we are in the area read more

The "Pack a Bowl" was very good. The spinach, sausage, egg, bacon, and avocado mixed perfectly. The hash brown was also quite tasty. Kind of an odd interior at first, but it grew on me as I sat and ate my food. Service was great and the workers were kind and friendly. Had a nice conversation. Peach infused tea was good as well. read more

very disappointed in today's service. i come often but today was not it. there was nobody else in the entire place and the tables were already dirty first thing in the morning. the second we sat down we noticed how dusty and gross the seats were. we sat for one minute outside in the dust while waiting for the food ( no one else was in the entire vicinity ) and my 9 pound dog was sitting next to me and the employee saw from the window and came out to tell us to put her on the ground. which is fine, but the seats are dirty and so are the tables so maybe we should worry about cleaning that instead of worrying about my dog who's clean- and we were sitting OUTSIDE, not even inside which would've been understandable. read more

a perfect spot for a quick breakfast bite! Service here was fast and super friendly. It's a casual space, there are a few tables and counter seating inside, you order at the counter, and more seating is provided outside as well. A good variety of different muffin sandwiches are provided and also some fun specialty coffee drinks as well. The sandwiches are STUFFED which i appreciated (although made it hard to physically eat haha!). My personals favorite was the mother muffin salmon (I also loved the cute play on word themes!). read more
