HOCKEY - This restaurant is incredible, and I can't recommend it enough. Our Dallas team had three games in New Jersey over the weekend, and we had food catered from here for two days straight. The boys loved it! There was more than enough food, with great options like pasta and chicken, perfect for pre-game meals. One day, we had an emergency when another restaurant didn't provide enough food, and Positano's came to the rescue, delivering within 20 minutes! Lifesavers. Visiting from out of town but I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I'm used to good Italian. The eggplant parm was the best I ever ate. Not stiff not breaded not too oily. The trifecta. Vodka penne was very good. My boys ate chicken parm. They gobbled it right up and my husband had pizza and garlic knots. He loved the garlic knots and said pizza was very good. We did take out and ate at our hotel. Would have definitely been better if we sat down and ate it straight out of oven. Owner was super nice. We were told 20-25 mins to pick up but went there way too early bc the boys were very hungry. Didn't have to wait too long and had a good time hanging out chatting while we waited. I'm an elderly woman who wanted to treat herself to an Italian dinner. I was really looking forward to the meal. As I entered the restaurant, a large party occupying the whole first level was leaving. The owner said I'd be seated after the remaining guests left and they cleaned up. This was okay with me. I stood in line for a bit and decided to leave because it was freezing in there, even though I had a jacket on I was very cold. The owner asked why I was leaving and I told him. He promised to turn the ac up, so I got back in line. After waiting about 10 minutes, I decided to leave because the place was still cold and very noisy. The owner again asked if I was leaving and I said "yes." He commenced to call me "nasty" and to "never come back." I tried to explain, but he was on a rant and told me to "get out." He continued with his tirade as I walked to the door repeating that I'm "nasty" and to "never come back." He shouted so loudly that everyone in the long line heard him. In my 71 years on earth I've never before been publicly humiliated! I wouldn't think someone who is in the business of serving the public would be so rude and nasty without cause. I you don't mind being publicly humiliated by an unhinged owner, this is the restaurant for you. read more

Placed a catering order recently. Food, as usual, was delicious. There were a few issues. They forgot bread and setup...had to go back. One of the trays leaked in my car. I asked for some extra sauce and was charged $6. I was very surprised to get charged after spending $300. Guess if I order again, I will have to check everything. My family & I went here for mother's day. Expected to wait but not wait almost 30 min to have our waiter to come to our table and take our drink order. Apparently if you know the owners it takes about 20 min to order drinks & receive them. The owner didn't even make an effort to at least take our drink order.It took another 20-30 min for our waiter to take our food order. Food was not all that great and seeing everyone else enjoying themselves was annoying to me since we were having such a bad experience. Would not recommend this restaurant nor will my family ever step foot in their door again. I would give this restaurant NO stars!!! read more

Ordered a heart shaped pizza for Valentines day and I don't think they could have made it any smaller if they tried.. Talk about taking advantage of a holiday. The box was huge when we picked it up and then we opened it up when we got home...what a rip off. It's a shame but they'll never get my money again. I had dinner last month with the Wayne PAL and had the best fried calamari ever but when I made a takeout order for today 1/29 I was very disappoint in my food. I asked to make it extra crispy but it rubbery and soft coating, nothing like what I had in the store. So was looking forward to eating them. This is a good lunch spot in the Wayne area. They have nice soups, salads, and sandwiches for a reasonable price. Their catering is also great; my office frequently orders for large group lunches and everyone is always satisfied. The last time I had lunch here however, the service was SO SLOW. Our lunch took almost 90 minutes for a few slices of pizza, bowls of soup, and two salads...nothing exotic. Delivery or take out is the better way to go. read more

Simply the richest most delicious italian food i have yet to have. My boyfriend has always insisted this places is amazing and finally giving it a shot did not let me down!! From the bread they give you while u wait to the beautiful detail in their cappuccino was simply amazing. Food is exceptional. We are outside in August and take out last week. They are quick to fix any issues such as missing items from takeout order. The house dressing is incredible as is the garlic bread they serve before dinner. Vodka sauce is yummmm. Service was good. The flavor of the food was a little Bland. I ordered the orecetti with sausage and broccoli rabe and most of the pasta was stuck together in pieces of three or four at a time. When I brought this to the waiter's attention he told me that must be something wrong with the pasta. There was something wrong with the pasta it was inedible. Excellent experience here! Calm and classy environment, great service, huge portions and excellent taste! I recommend the Chicken Parm with vodka sauce, although my SO really enjoyed the Eggplant Parm and my Mother the dish that she chose. BONUS is the exceptional dough knots served comp..great garlic and butter flavor and they didn't bat an eye when we asked for another basket after the well stocked basket we originally received was exhausted. Perfect slice of pizza! My fiancé and I were in the area and happened to pop in, and I'm so glad we did. We had an event to get to, so we couldn't stay long. We opted to grab some slices and sit at one of the outside tables since it was a beautiful summer day. I was so pleased with our pizza. Perfectly crunchy with a soft and doughy crust. I thought each slice had the perfect amount of cheese and delicious sauce to compliment it. My fiancé highly recommends the Sicilian pizza. Great food and quick service. It took less than 7 minutes to get our food. That's a pro when you're hungry but a con if you're coming to have a long dinner with family or friends. Ordered a gluten free pizza and two slices for delivery only to wait AN HOUR AND A HALF later for my food to be sitting outside in the cold. Delivery guy didn't call, ring doorbell OR KNOCK. I called the the store an hour after I ordered asking where my order was and they said it would be there soon. When I called back a shortly after saying it still wasn't there she asked me to go check the doorstep bec the driver was already back. So I asked to speak to the owner and STEVE(one of the most unhinged people I have ever encountered in customer service based jobs) basically insinuated that I was lying bec his driver "said he rang the doorbell"(why would I lie about $24?) I was just upset my food was cold and wanted a proper apology at least. But this guy went full accusation mode on me. It was pretty wild. Food wasn't even that good too. This is one of the best pizzas I've have ever tried. The pizza dough is what caught me by surprise. Although the Sicilian style pizza pie is generally thick, the one we had was very light and full of flavor. I ordered from Positanos using DoorDash. I know this restaurant has a decent reputation but I generally hadn't had such great luck here in the past so I usually order Italian elsewhere. I decided to try it again to see if time had made any improvements...with mixed results. My food arrived about an hour after the quoted time, and pretty cold. (I called them for a status and waited on hold twice for over 10 minutes each). I ordered eggplant parm with spaghetti, a calzone, chicken parm w/vodka sauce (never heard of that before), and pasta fagioli soup. The chicken dish was surprisingly tasty, though if it's called Parmesan I felt I'd like to see some cheese on top. Regardless it was good and I'd order it again. I came with two flat pieces of chicken which I felt was most likely breast. The calzone was pretty flat. I cut it and it was fairly empty looking, though when reheated there was gooey filling oozing out. The size of the sauce side was tiny and I had I use my own sauce. The eggplant parm was rather bland, and it was combined with the spaghetti side in one container, which I hate because it dries everything out. I give it an overall OK... and I order eggplant from every Italian restaurant in the area. The soup was very thick with both pasta and beans. I liked it but it needed some broth. It was more like a stew. Maybe they were just very busy, but I think my food should have been hot and Parmesan dishes need cheese on top. Great food and attentive quick staff. My daughter wanted to celebrate graduating college and picked to dine here. We had clams casino and fried calimarri which were fresh and perfect. For our entrees we had veal parmigiana, rigatoni in vodka sauce, and linguini in clam sauce. All were delicious and cooked perfectly. The linguini in clam sauce is probably the best I have ever eaten and highly recommend anyone having. Will definitely be back. read more

Solid place to order in from. My mother in law recently moved close to Positano's and was ordering from there frequently while her kitchen was being renovated. This used to be a real good place but now since inflation hit, and I understand that, it has really changed. The salads are chopped so small there's no bite at all so there's really no flavor and you can't tell what's in it. I would definitely NOT recommend the chicken wings they are horrible! They were tough, the skin on them was so thick and they were big too. Didn't think they belonged to any chicken I'm familiar with! I was a little squeamish about who's wings they actually belonged to - ended up throwing them out! The garlic knots were doughy not cooked enough and saturated. Pizza not cooked enough and doughy as well - no sauce at all, not good. My thoughts are that you can still provide a good item even if you have to skimp on certain things, so I'm inclined to believe they must change whoever is doing the preparing. Great family run BYOB pizzeria/Italian restaurant. The food never disappoints and their Fried Calamari is better than any high end restaurant. I was very impressed that they followed all the Covid 19 safety rules and only had 25% indoor capacity even though they could easily fill the place. This was wonderful to see especially since I have seen several other restaurants in the area filling their restaurants to 100% capacity.
