We spent the entire day driving to NC and were looking for a cozy place to have dinner. My husband spotted Post 25 while driving and said it should be good if it's that crowded! He was right! Service was impeccable, and food hit the spot! My cocktail was refreshing: "Don't be a prick" (pear, almond extract and vodka) and John had his beer: Highland Gaelic Ale.

Service.... Hostess staff are horrible. Arrived at 5:15. We were told a 6 top would be 30 minutes... after an hour we were told we were next... after 15 minutes more we left and went to 12 bones. We ordered and in less than 20 minutes we were eating food. Communication is everything. I get that you are busy, but quite blowing smoke and be honest with your patrons. I'm in sales... a happy customer will till one business about a good experience.,., an unhappy customer will tell every customer about your sucky service!

Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy & green beans + a couple onion rings. YUM!

Post 25 is a South Asheville/Arden staple restaurant. It's always busy.... Great food & great atmosphere. Feels like a true local joint. I recently had the meatloaf and it was fantastic. It came with mashed potatoes & green beans that were perfect sides. Typically I'll get something Tiger Sauced, but I'm glad I switched it up.

Stopped by for a delicious gyro and room temp fries. You can tell the gyro was sliced freshly in house. But I have gotten hotter fries delivered by Uber Eats! Cool atmosphere.

I got the seasonal salad which was quite good. The drinks I got was also quite good and it seemed like they had a creative menu. I will come back to try more!

Post 25 Kitchen and Lounge was a great spontaneous date night. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed, but we were immediately sat at a table on the porch outside and there was no wait for food or drink. We started off with the Carolina Crickets that we read so much about here on Yelp, definitely the best jalapeño poppers we've ever had! I enjoyed the Salmon Santorine and my husband got the classic Ruben. I also treated myself to a Spicy Red Maraca and Post Potion #9 (delightful champagne and lavender cocktail). The portions were so generous, there was enough to take home. Ashley was our server and worked hard to make sure our every need was met.

We started with the fried green tomatoes -- and I can confidently say they were the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served over the most delicious, creamy grits that I'm still thinking about. That combination alone is worth the visit. For my entrée, I went with the fried chicken, paired with mac and cheese and bacon green beans. The chicken was golden, crispy, and juicy with so much flavor in every bite. The mac and cheese was rich and comforting, and the bacon green beans added the perfect savory balance to the plate. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and full of that true Southern flavor you hope for when dining in Asheville. Generous portions, bold flavors, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I would absolutely come back again -- and honestly, I'm already looking forward to ordering those fried green tomatoes again.

The restaurant had an interesting vibe to it and the bar looked pretty cool with fancy backlighting. The waiter was there right away getting us drinks. He was really helpful with the menu offering suggestions. Our food also came out surprisingly quick, it felt like 5 minutes which was crazy. My burger was fantastic, honestly one of the best I've had in recent memory. The Bbq flat bread was great too (had one bite of my wife's dinner). My youngest loved the lasagna too. The kids chicken nuggets were a let down, they lacked flavor and were pretty dry. Overall, 3 out of 4 meals were great. They also give free warm rolls with 2 different butters. These were super fluffy and tasted great. If I lived around here I would definitely be back. Next time we tour the Biltmore we will have to make a stop here.

We went with the club sandwich with fries and the lasagna with a Caesar salad. Both were delicious. Portions are very good. Neither of us could finish the meals! We actually picked this place at random when we went to a local pizza place down a dirt road that sold out by 6pm...gonna have to make sure we make it back there next time for sure. However, this place was a pleasant surprise. Menu is a bit intimidating, just pick some items and go and you'll be fine. It's one of those "order while standing up and then we'll bring your food out while you get your own drinks" type of places which I'm not a huge fan of. I got the Sunny Side burger...somehow or maybe I built one, can't remember. I remember being sad I forgot to get bacon especially after trying my girlfriend's bacon from her burger....GET THE BACON!!! IT'S NOT CRAPPY BACON BUT AMAZING!! They were able to accommodate her gluten allergy with a gluten-free bun but the fries could have cross-contamination as there is not a dedicated gluten-free fryer. She risked it anyways and for good reason (also she never got sick but your results and sensitivity may vary!), she wanted these jalapeño bacon cheese fries and wow were they good! They had picked onions on them which seemed odd but it worked...it worked really well. I couldn't stop eating her fries. As far as fries go...not everyone needs to order them. They give you way too many, not Five Guys too many, but way too many for an average eater with a big fat burger. Not one person in our group finished their burger and fries. If I was home I would have taken them home to my chickens and I don't think even they could finish them all in one sitting. The other thing I didn't like was how they do seating...I had to sit at the bar with my kids because all of the tables were taken up by 1 or 2 people when they could seat six. We saw several people come in after us and one person from their group would go claim a table while their group was in line ordering, preventing the people ordering ahead of them from finding a spot. Having a hostess seat people would make this place five stars.
