Came here for a birthday party. They do book groups which seems to be a little unusual. The inside is lovely. Lots of wood decor makes it welcoming. We were seated in a room in the back. All ready to go with place settings and glasses of water. Our drink orders were taken promptly. We got several appetizers. Potato skins, french fry nachos, oysters, etc. All were delivered quickly. We agreed everything was tasty. Our group seemed to order all different entrees. I got a Reuben, birthday girl got steak, son got tongue kebabs, etc. Our drinks were refilled quickly and extra things came when requested. I didn't hear any complaints at all. We are til we were stuffed. A complimentary birthday dessert ended the evening nicely. We got to go boxes to enjoy later. A very good experience overall. read more

This place gave me Cheers vibes when I walked in. Although, it was my first time here, I was greeted with warm smiles from both the bartenders & patrons. Literally everyone who walked up to the bar was greeted by name & knew one another. I thought that was pretty cool. Food: Was just OK. I ordered the Tiger Wings, which had great flavor but they were a little larger than I liked & not fried too hard. They were too soft for my liking. They were served with a great homemade ranch & celery & carrots. I would order them again & just request them to fry them longer. I also ordered the Beef Stroganoff which was very bland & disappointing. I had to add lots of salt & pepper to even eat the few bites I had. I would stay away from this altogether. Drinks: I had a prickly pear margarita that was tasty but not too strong. I ended up just switching to a basic tequila & pineapple. I do plan to return to try more cocktails & menu items. They have a variety of things I still want to try. The atmosphere & wonderful service alone will have me coming back. read more

I have tried multiple things here and I'm never disappointed. Tiger wings, tiger Mac and cheese, jalapeño popper and the nachos are my go to orders here. They have a wide range of draft and bottle beer. Great bartenders if you want a mixed drink. Service has always been 5 star. I really wanted to give this place 4 or even 5. I ordered a pimento cheese burger, substituted a veggie patty (for extra charge). It was without a doubt the best veggie burger patty I've ever tasted. It was homemade and crispy on the outside. Sweet potato fries were very good. My daughter's Tiger chicken sandwich was also pretty outstanding. The building was very nice, and we ate outside on an upper deck with other diners, lovely! However, once we got into our meal, our server kind of disappeared. She reappeared once to deliver a fresh drink to my daughter, but didn't speak. Then she passed our table more than once while I had a completely empty glass. We both finished our food, my glass still empty, and she came to ask us if we were finished. No question of anything else. Basically we felt we were being politely asked to leave. The check was delivered and paid with barely a smile. I politely left a very underwhelming tip. read more

This has an excellent menu - both food and drinks. The ambiance is pleasant - even at its busiest it's not too loud. It's reasonably priced. So why only 3 stars? Waited 45 minutes for a table after being told the wait was only 10-15 minutes. The first 3 items i ordered they were suddenly out of, even though a table that ordered after us had no issue getting food that we were told was no longer available. So we ordered our 4th options only to get cold food. The best was when they brought out check that included the entrees we tried to order that they were supposedly out of. Always a great experience- a true gastro gem! We love both locations. The last time we were here was for their thanksgiving meal- so good! Today we had their pimento cheese burger and a blt (with egg- which turned out to be amazing!) Everyone is friendly and the decor itself adds to the experience- beautiful woodwork- fun collectible displays- local art work- it's all lovely. They are definitely experiencing staffing issues (like every other restaurant in Asheville) but it was absolutely worth the long wait to get our food- so so good! Go! This funky restaurant has a huge menu. We typically visit Post 25 at lunch time and enjoy the quieter atmosphere and smaller crowds. In the evening, the place is hopping! My husband is a fan of the Greek salad, my children love the burgers, and I am grateful the menu covers a wide range. This is a place where we feel safe to have our favorites and where we are excited to try something new. With every visit, the staff is incredible and friendly. read more

I stopped in here pre-moving to Asheville and honestly forgot to check the name and have been dreaming about it ever since. Until I saw a recent review about some awesome tiger wings and new I'd been reunited. Tiger wings. Order those upon sitting down and then look at the rest of the menu. You will not be disappointed. Unless your taste buds aren't working then you might be. But seriously, when I first came here I was feeling a bit hangry. I asked if they had wings so I could have something to hold me over while browsing the rest of the menu, the wings were SO GOOD we just got two more orders and called it a day. The rest of the menu looks great so I do plan to expand my horizon. They also have a great drink menu and if I remember correctly they even offer some daily specials. This was pre-COVID so I'm sure somethings have changed. There was plenty of parking and the lot was easy to get in and out of. Pulling up this place reminds me of a mountain chalet. I was pleased to see that the inside is pretty much the same, but without the bouje. It's the perfect mix of mountain chalet and cool place to share some laughs with friends. When Post 25 is good, you'll enjoy a good meal. I particularly like their meatloaf and fish & chips. Their service is also good as is their ambiance. They have an absolutely huge parking area. My issues are personal: the restaurant entry is accessed through many steep steps or a long ramp way - both of which I find difficult with MS. I have also found that the quality of meals isn't uniform. I'm aware that a chef can have an off day, but I've been disappointed several times - that's why I've only given 3 stars. Usually, I'd rate them 4 stars, with the notation that their prices are slightly too high. read more

Got take out from here and it was delicious! It was still hot even when I made it home and I can only imagine how good it would be eating inside the restaurant. They were kind of busy during lunch but well worth the wait. Plus I had a nice glass of Rose-which was on special while I waited. We ordered the tiger wings with ranch and blue cheese-both dressings were homemade and delicious. The wings were well cooked and I really enjoyed the sauce on them. We also tried the pimento cheese with the fried pita and veggies. Loved it and the pita chips stayed crispy when we tried them again a few hours later. For entrees I tried the meatloaf and my sister had the lunch special-fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and green beans. I didn't taste her chicken but she said it was really good! The meatloaf was very tasty as was the gravy and mashed potatoes. Even though it was lunch the portions were huge! I will definitely return when I'm in the area! read more

Today, 7/20/24, was my first visit to Post 25. I have heard good things and was excited to try the establishment. Arriving at 2:30, the lunch specials were still available. The fried mushrooms appetizer was quite good. The place has great chicken wings. I ordered the "Short Hike" lunch special, $12, with steamed broccoli as the side. The dish is supposed to be a half serving of the meatloaf with choice of 1 side. The meatloaf was a slice that was 3" x 3" and about 1/2 inch thick with brown gravy and 3 thinnish onion rings/strings on top. The broccoli was served in an large ramakin, maybe 5 oz capacity. Both the meatloaf and broccoli side were very tasty, cooked properly and seasoned well. I didn't take a picture, because the presentation on the plate was very uninspiring. Inflation is real because there was almost no food on the plate. While good-tasting, I absolutely could have eaten the meatloaf in two big bites. The service was courteous and the dining area has some charm. Maybe the $21 meatloaf entree plate would have been worth it, but my lunch special seemed especially diminutive. read more

Wifey & I had a great reason to celebrate, and we're staying in Fletcher, of all unforseen venues. Our options led us to choose Post 25, as we're familiar with Post 70, Filo, etc. It was an extremely positive experience! We show up at 4:15p.m., while it's still mostly empty, a few early bird senior types (am I one of these people now?) drifted in, everyone socially distanced properly. Our server Travis was very helpful, friendly, and respectful. Wifey ordered a "Naughty Nana" cocktail, with Elderberry flower liquor and citrus, while I ordered a Songbird "spicy" beer, both exceeded our expectations. Lightweights that we are, we had a nice buzz. They change their drink menu frequently, apparently, so don't expect to see an accurate current cocktail menu online. Maryland crab cakes were hot'n'tasty, with a fabulous remoulade, ahhhh. She had the meatloaf, while I had the blackened grouper. The generous portion of meatloaf gravy was flavorful, added a creamy texture to the experience. The grouper was thick enough, perfectly cooked! The green beans and rice bed were well-cooked and fresh, but pretty bland. I asked Travis to bring some more remoulade, which elevated them to near-superb. Wifey finished with coconut cake, fresh, delicious, subtle, while I ordered a brandy alexander! I was expecting a girly drink, almost like a milkshake, but let me tell you, it was pretty well loaded with cognac, creamy with a kick. we had a great time, were really impressed with the venuie. It felt like an established restaurant, perfect for a date, instead of an overcrowded watering hole. Relaxed, comfortable, with excellent service, we highly recommend Post 25. read more

Comfort food, comfort food, comfort food. This place has a very loyal and numerous set of patrons, both for eats and drinks. Very reasonable pricing, great staff, and one of our frequent hangouts, several times per week. Nothing fancy on the menu, but everything is very well done and consistently satisfying. Excellent wings, including a unique Tiger sauce version, wonderful burgers, weekday blue plate specials (Thursday beef, mashed potatoes, string beans my favorite), plus too many other great comfort options, including steaks, salads, sandwiches, appetizers, to list. We stopped by and got a Reuben and Gyro from here with Greek Fries for lunch last weekend. The Reuben was perfect! All the right textures and flavors and was super hot when I tried to eat it. (I notice that's more important when it starts getting cold!). The gyro was great also. We didn't wait very long. They said 15-20 minutes and that's when it was ready!! Most holidays there are only two of us. It's just not worth cooking a huge meal. Yet we really want the experience of the holiday meal. So most of the time we go out to eat for the holidays. We have yet to find a place that is not disappointing. When we entered Post 25 we found the environment to be inviting. The restroom was very clean. You could see into the kitchen and the floor was immaculate. We looked over the fixed-price menu they had for the holidays and made our selections. We were a little confused about the combo and I asked the waiter to explain but he seemed as confused as we were so we just decided to order the holiday meal one with turkey one with ham. My husband started with the salad and I started with the butternut chai soup. I have to say the starters we're not disappointing and they are the only reason this visit received three stars. The salad was huge. It had lots of greens and then had blue cheese, apples, candied pecans, and cranberries with a light vinaigrette dressing. The flavors melded so well together. The butternut soup was in a small almost Ramekin dish but the flavor was over the top. A great first course. Unfortunately then the meal went downhill. We waited and waited for our food. It was almost 45 minutes from the appetizer course until we received our main course. And let's face it folks those type foods are made ahead of time and just have to be dished out. It was standard Thanksgiving food. The green bean casserole was good and the mashed potatoes were real but they had beef gravy instead of Turkey which was a little odd. The sweet potato casserole was good although a little citrusy. The dressing was way over salted. The cranberry sauce was perfectly tart. I found the ham to be ham. My husband's turkey was overcooked. The roll was not homemade. We did eat and we're full so we took our desserts home. I found the chocolate cake to be moist and it tasted like chocolate cake. A quick recap: phenomenal appetizers, mediocre main, average desserts, Bolk Rock Blood Orange was great as usual, historical wait for food while people who came in after were eating around us. This was a great last minute find! We had just checked into our VRBO rental and decided not to cook and looked for a place nearby. We came to Post 25 Kitchen & Lounge and so glad that we did! Due to COVID, we wanted to eat outdoors, but they didn't have tables that would accommodate a party of eight, so we ate indoors when the owner said she could block off all the surrounding tables and not seat anyone in our section. That worked out great. It was a long wait for the food (especially with tired, hungry kids who have all been sitting in cars for hours)...but it was definitely worth it. I got the Salmon Santorini and it was absolutely delicious. We also got the grouper (asked for it not to be blackened), ham pizza, and Tiger pizza. Will definitely have to eat here again when we come back to the Asheville area! read more

I can not say enough great things about Post 25. About 9 months ago was the first time I went and have been a return visitor ever since. The restaurant is housed in the old Black Bird building, but the renovations that were done to the building are amazing! It is so nice and homey inside. Large dining areas, big patio seating on a 2 story deck, nice full bar, comfortable sitting areas. It's extremely nice. The food: Post 25 has about the same menu as it's sister restaurant, East Village Grille, with a Greek twist to it. I have taken out of town visitors and had large family dinners here. Everyone raves about the food. We have had about everything on the menu. No complaints at all. What really puts Post 25 over the top is their service. The waitstaff here goes above and beyond what they are expected as hostesses, waiters and waitresses. I have a great examples: During the restaurant shut down, we called to order takeout. The guy who answered the phone was so nice, polite and really seemed like he was excited that I called to order a meal with them. Same thing when we picked it up. And it was genuine. It was refreshing when no other place we went to was like that. Example #2: we had my daughters graduation yesterday and wanted to do lunch today. There was 7 of us. I called to let them know we had a large party coming for lunch. The lady answering the phone told me they only did 4 to a table. However, they arranged it for us to have a whole back dining room to ourselves so we could celebrate my daughter with our family together! And the service was out of this world great! Wow this is some interesting stuff. It's my third or fourth time the Post 25 and this place is really nice. Good atmosphere and plenty of room to get a meal or a drink or a snack at any time. I'm actually eating and eggs Benedict pizza which I have to say is quite amazing. Who'd a thunk it. The staff here is very accommodating and very attractive so how can you beat that! There are plenty of locals and visitors her to talk to you which is what Asheville is all about. I'm going to put my phone down now and enjoyed my meal and some friendly conversation!!!! read more
