I had a very disappointing experience here. The store is chaotic and disorganized and dumpy, and the person in charge had no idea what they were doing. The prices were sky high and it took 20 minutes to complete my transaction. They wanted to charge me $30 to mail an envelope--that was the cheapest option. I drove over to the post office at 38th and High Street where they mailed it for $8.40 and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Never coming back to this store. read more

Horrible Experience. I shipped out a FedEx package with them recently and the package was never sent out. I returned to the store with my receipt and tracking information. I was being very polite and cooperative. The lady who helped me was very rude and refused to help. She gave me dirty looks and kept brushing me off. She blamed me for lying about it not being sent out and repeatedly insisted that she could not do anything. I showed proof of payment and tracking information. I had all the receipts and proof. I understand if there wasn't much she could do, but the way she spoke to me and treated me was unprofessional. Be aware if you are about to ship something here. There is a possibility that your package will not be sent out. Once you question them about it, they will blame you and do nothing about it. Do not do business here. Wow, mj, you seem to dislike not just Postal Plus but darned near everything, judging by your other reviews. Everyone is rude and mean and out to get you. Maybe it's you. Anyway, PP is a fine place with friendly service and while mj thinks they charge too much, they are the cheapest joint in town. ($1.00 for color copies of top-notch quality?? Try getting that at Kinkos.) They are friendly and the woman mj refers to so dismissingly is as patient as Job. I'd recommend this place to anyone with one major caveat: they're small and mom-and-pop, so they don't have the largest selection or the widest variety of services. But if they have what you do need, this is the place to get it. read more

They closed 10 minutes early on a Saturday. I just rushed to get here and now I can't ship my packages. VERY frustrating!

This spot is close to home and I was in a rush, so it was a huge convenience. The woman who helped me was very friendly but the print process seemed fishy. No discount for bringing in your own paper, and $1.00 per color copy on plain paper. Also the sales lady tried to convince me to get copies instead of prints which is a sneaky way of lowering resolution and saving ink and $. I needed exact, good quality prints so I refused her copying the original print. For this she charged me an additional $5. saying if she has to use her computer there is a $5. charge. There were no signs or pamphlets informing people of this charge and it felt like a spiteful, made-up charge. It is too bad that such a close-to-home print shop is such a rip off. read more

I love Zarina and Postal Plus. I have had a mailbox there for over one and one half years and it is always a pleasure to go there. Zarina is always extemely pleasant and professional and ridiculously nice. I have never had a problem sending nor receiving packages there. She goes above and beyond. I would never get a USPS post office box again nor would I rely on the mail carrier/fedex/UPS, etc. to make it to my home when I can instead have all deliveries be signed for by her. Out of pure convenience, I have done business with this establishment one too many times. Most of the time, I handle the unfriendly, salty staff and their relaxed use of masks because I am in and out of the building pretty fast. However, today, this establishment could not assist me with a package that FedEx is stating was never picked up. Direct from the employee, Postal Plus bears no responsibility to pre paid FedEx labels that are dropped off at their location. They are an agent. They have no scanning of packages that come in and out that are FedEx. I was not aware that a business handling USPS and FedEx could claim that. They turned me away with no help except to contact FedEx continually. I'm uncertain if my items are lost, but I do know that responsibility for items in your establishment should be priority. I recommend anyone in Glenview to choose another location. Even with tracking paperwork and proper identification of my package, Postal Plus still could not help me because they never documented that my package was being held there. read more

It's fairly easy to park (for a commercial district) and the lines are short. It can take a LONG time to pick up a package. The last two times the woman at the front desk told me the package wasn't there, even after she "checked the system". After insisting it was there, she found it. Today she couldn't find it all. I suggest putting labels A-F, G-K, and so on the wall and sorting packages to make locating packages more efficient. She seems to be delayed with customers who don't have a mailbox there, as those who do have their packages set aside for them. read more

I have had my mailbox here for over a decade. The owner is wonderful, even unlocked the door for me when she was closed and on her way to an appointment. She always prioritizes service, is efficient and cheerful. I started going here when a USPS worker kept delivering me the wrong mail and I wasn't getting some key pieces of mail delivery. Renting a mail box here is cheap in comparison to getting fined for not receiving important mail... read more

Pickup times (as of Nov 2013): UPS overnight - 4pm UPS 2nd day and ground - 5:30pm FedEx Express - 4:30pm FedEx, other - 2pm USPS - 4pm You can definitley find these items cheaper elsewhere, but they've got a good selection of greeting cards and stickers (for kids). They also have a few office supplies that could get you by in a pinch. read more

I used this service to mail a large, bulky package, and I was treated to customer service that was as good as it gets. Zarina worked with the packaging to get the cost down for me, and gave me a price lower by far than anyplace else I called. She's an example of a sole proprietor who takes full responsibility for running a great business. I saw many "regulars" come in for their mail, and others to use other services, and all were treated very respectfully. Use this service if you need a box, or to ship anything. I just showed up there for the 2nd time at around 9:20am and the business was closed. The store hours on the sign in the door as well as on Yelp say it opens at 9am. I was in a rush to catch a flight and was not able to hang around to see when the proprietor will make it there or come back later -- nor do I want to. I consider it very unprofessional to not show up during opening hours, and it's super lame as well! At the very least change the store hours! read more

Very disappointed. I shipped a portable air conditioner and their packaging did nothing to protect the appliance. They did not cushion the bottom at all. Two pieces of cardboard only. Really? Of course, the rollers on the bottom were destroyed and Postal Plus took no responsibility. They made Fed Ex pay for the appliance. Instead of getting it shipped properly, I had to make an insurance claim and then go out and buy a new one and dispose of the old one. I fear they don't know what they are doing. Imagine sending out a heavy appliance without a single layer of padding on the bottom. read more

I can't believe it's taken me months to write this glowing review! Zarina at Postal Plus saved my bacon! My associate needed me to hunt down some plants in our neighborhood and ship them to her overnight to Los Angeles. I walked into Postal Plus and told Zarina I needed a way to ship 3 plants to LA and ensure they did not die from either cold or being squeezed tightly in a box. She tried a couple of packaging options that would keep them in place, added styrofoam peanuts to cushion them if the box was flipped upside down and to keep them warm for the flight to LA. She was under a tight timeline as she was expecting the afternoon pick-up of packages and and she was aware there would be little profit in this transaction.
