Yikes, I made the mistake of printing documents here because I had errands in Montclair. Wildly expensive at $1 per page for B/W plus a $4 fee (!) to send them the documents via email. My bad for not checking out their fees ahead of time, I'd assumed they'd be higher than a local shop but not exorbitant. I recommend you patronize Copy USA on Fruitvale. Less than $.25/page. Email the docs to yourself and you can access them on one of his computers (no fee). The owner is gruff but very helpful. read more

Unbelievaby RUDE, foul-mouthed, nasty worker here!!! He Had a snarl on his face before we even started the interaction like he was doing me a favor working at his job.Right off the bat, he refused to take the package because he said it needed a plastic bag on it. The shipper said to send it back in the exact BOX with a label on it, and I did exactly that - but he insisted that it needed a plastic bag on it. I came back in the store later with a plastic bag on it and he said that wasn't the right kind, even though it looks exactly like and was the same size of the shipping bags he sells -(even though it was originally totally packaged as directed)- he said it needed an additional plastic bag,,,,the one he sells for $5.99,and when i questioned him and showed him it was basically the same size and looking bag , he told me to " get the Fk out of his store". I ended up taking this to another UPS store and there was absolutely no problems at all. The service was friendly, and they said it was packaged exactly as it was supposed to be and absolutely did not need ANY plastic bag that the guy at the LaSalle store insisted it needed , in fact, they laughed when I told them what happened and told them they get a lot of customers coming over to them after complaints about the LaSalle store and that one nasty guy who tries to upsell them shipping products that they don't need! read more

The young ladies who work there are nice and helpful, but the men are terrible and do not understand the concept of customer service. In addition to being rude, they ignore you until they finally deign to work. In addition, one employee tried to scan another person's package on top of my heavy one that had been scanned but not taken off the scale. I asked him to take mine off as he cannot add the weight of my heavy package to the elderly customer's package behind me. He irately asked me why I should care as I'm not paying for the shipping anyway. I care because it is fraudulent and this scam drives up the cost of goods being sold. So beware that this location condones overcharging their customers, be it individuals or the businesses that are providing prepaid returns by literally tipping the scales. Go to any other UPS store if you can to avoid unpleasantness and dishonest behavior. The entire staff here is amazing. I come 3-6 times a week and the employees are alwyas super helpful and so kind. I would highly recommend this UPS just because of these people. Leslie, Rohin, Sushma (I might be spelling this wrong) and all the other people who have helped me are absolutely incredible. We've been coming here for a couple of years now with no issues. We mostly just drop off Amazon returns and are well organized when we walk in - which we have actually been thanked for. So I'll be brief: (1) an employee was on a personal video call before, during and after my visit; (2) same employee cannot scan a QR code for an Amazon return claiming it's Amazon's technological issue (came back the following week and everything worked); and (3) needed a notarized signature and told that the notary wasn't in but will be in tomorrow... guess what happened the following day. I honestly don't know how this place stays in business, other than they have built in business with UPS shipping and the name. This franchise is HORRIBLY run. Besides the fact that they are beyond rude, they are completely incompetent. Over the last year, I pick up mail from a family member's business from the mailboxes there. There has never been a time I have picked it up and not had the wrong mail in the box (different box number). Some poor person had multiple important utility shutoff notices they never got! Once I accidentally opened the wrong mail and it was someone's handwritten check for $5 that they had clearly taken great care to write and mail to someone and the INCOMPETENT people at this branch couldn't even bother to get it in the right mailbox. I took the time to return it to sender. Today I had a notice of a large package delivery (that was a few weeks old) for the wrong box number, again. How hard can it be to put the mail in the right box? This has happened at least 7 times in one year, not a one-off mistake. I wonder what mail we are missing because they put it in someone else's box? read more

I have rented a box for the past 10 years, with minimal problems, however, these last 2 months have been met with unresponsive email, calls that go unanswered and when they are answered, the respondent indicates that they are unable to help and have to wait for the owner to come into the office. I drove to the location and it now looks like they are closed. There is nobody at the facility and the calls are unanswered. Man, woman, and child I feel like using a long list of expletives in regards to this business. If I could give this place negative stars I would...but no such luck. Long story short...my packages were re-routed to this location for pickup, however, unbeknownst to me this location is too small to accommodate an order my size...which is fine. However, if that is the case it would be optimal for UPS to alert me to this fact before shipping them there...or don't ship them there at all. A message was left for me saying my order was being refused and shipped back to the manufacturer...so when I tried to call back to prevent this, the line was busy for over an hour. I attempted to call 92 times while driving across town in rush hour traffic...yes 92 times. Luckily I arrived right in time as my order was being put back on a truck to be routed back to New York. Unfortunately, my car is small and they unwilling to store my order until opening the following morning so in turn I ordered a Lugg to help me out...those guys were rad btw. Unfortunately though, that cost me an extra $100 to get my packing materials to my office...finally. All and all, this place sucks. There's just no reason to treat people like that. I've seen them do it to others, there's a reason their Yelp star rating is so low. It's one thing for them to try and sneak a ridiculous charge of $14 for a shipping box and a $4 packing fee for putting tape on the box. But the attitude of the employees is just so unnecessary. And they don't seem to realize that with their door open, you can hear them complain about you after you leave. These people belong in non-consumer facing positions. read more

I don't ever give bad reviews but this experience was so bad. I came in with an Amazon return. I mistakenly did not bring a box, and so the lady got frustrated and told me I'd have to pay a $19 fee. I simply asked if there was another option (like buying a box from them), and she said you can buy a box and the large roll of tape equaling $22. She was rude and curt and walked off to do absolutely nothing at the other bay for no reason. If you're using this store as an access point to pick up your package/purchase, DON'T CHOOSE THIS LOCATION! I had two packages sent here according to the tracking number and the email I got from the retailer, but when I went to pick them up the staff told me they did not have/could not find my packages. Even though records show that items were signed and left at the office (with the exact address of this location listed), the manager from this store told me that they do not recognize the name that received the package. They did not try to help. The manager was the one with the worst attitude and she was also very rude to the staff that was trying to help me. When the staff went to her for support, she was extremely condescending. I could not collect my packages that were worth more than $200. Avoid this store at any cost. Rather than having a clear drop off spot for pre paid and packaged boxes, they force all customers to stand in a single line (which includes people who are needing to package/ box/ etc their packages). There was a 20 min line of 10 people, and they would not open a second register or allow people to just drop - even though there was a second employee doing nothing. I would not recommend this location. I'm just now getting around to writing this review, but I mailed a package in late January that didn't arrive to its destination. I called them multiple times and went down there to get them to help me locate the package. They left me on hold, told me "the manager wasn't in" and otherwise found ways to ignore me, multiple times. They then took all my information to open an investigation, but after about 3 weeks of not hearing anything I had to call and go down there again and was told they hadn't actually opened an investigation. So now they took my info again and actually opened one, and I eventually got $100 in the mail from UPS, but there was no reason for the people at this store to not be helpful in tracking down my missing package. I was setting a forwarding mail service. They literally sent it to the wrong address. This is big and serious mistake as I had very important mail. They said they could do nothing for me even though I have emails that I have sent to them stating the right address. They have messed up big that and will not take responsibility for anything they do. I had the "notice" from UPS which was made out to my wife's business and her name. she could not retrieve the package. She asked me to pick it up. The folks in this store would not let me pick up the package without my wife physically coming to the store or I bringing her ID. After a lot of arguing they finally allowed me to have her send me a picture of her ID. All they had to was to tell me that in the beginning - but no - they wanted her personally until I prevailed. As many reviewer's have noted, displays can push you over the edge. The workers could not care less. I come here frequently ONLY because it is convenient to my kid's school. Their computer is down ALL the time. They are often closed first thing in the morning when, hello, their hours clearly state they are open. They don't give a damn when the main entrance to the building on LaSalle isn't open, even if it means no foot traffic, because it's *not their job* to open it. Yes they actually said that to me. This store has definitely earned it's 1 star rating. I sent in a simple order to print two pages, color, cardstock and cut them. They literally just forgot about my order. So when I came in it was a 30 minute wait for them to get the files printed. (with insanely slow computer system). The employees never open the store on time and I can no longer rely on this UPS store. Multiple times I've been in a line of people waiting to drop off packages when the store is supposed to open and they don't show up to open the store until 30+ minutes after the stated open time. It's even worse during weekdays. Since UPS is supposed to open the earliest, they're responsible for unlocking the building which contains ~10 other businesses. Them being late leads to delivery drivers and vendors waiting outside to make deliveries to the other businesses within the shopping center. When you come back an hour later, the UPS employees will straight up lie to you and say they opened on time, not knowing you were there when they were supposed to be open and they weren't. I went there today and asked about the status and she was rude and made me feel like I am wasting her time. She was not able to get the status of my package and said I need to call UPS. I told her the I am at the UPS store and she needs to call them to get the status. She told me "I don't care" and walked away. I haven't has such a bad experience EVER! Here's what I experience: 1) Great service (courteous, fast, professional) 2) convenient hours of operation 3) Take my Amazon returns without packaging 4) Take my UPS shipments that I've labeled on my own and paid lower online prices 5) Great selection of cards and office supplies 6). They sell stamps 7) Easy to park The prices aren't low but this place is a major convenience. You have to pay a bit more for that. They even helped me out my stamps on my Christmas cards. Do people really read Yelp reviews for the UPS store?! Not too sure, but let me tell you about this store ... the customer service is HORRIBLE!! Staff is unprofessional, and rude. They are very rude and yell at elderly people (I saw the staff yell at elderly people two times when I was there for 10 mins). They pick and choose when to enforce their 2 customers in the store at a time COVID policy. There was an elderly man in front of me and he walked into the store when 2 other customers were in there and the cashier YELLED at him to get out because there is only 2 customers allowed at a time; however, 5 minutes later the same cashier was letting at least 3 customers come. As someone previously mentioned in another post - the employees are liars. They make up their own policies that do not align with UPS' policies. The "manager" does not wear a name tag on her polo - but she should so we can know her name!! I actually had to call UPS corporate on this store location, and couldn't even provide the managers name that I had been dealing with all morning. I know its hard to avoid coming to this UPS store because its the only one in the immediate area, but if you can - avoid them! read more

I would be extremely hesitant shipping anything out of this UPS store. I came in to ship a 45lbs end table I needed to return to a vendor. I knew it'd be pricey but nothing could prepare me for the nearly $800 quote I was given by the staff. This was with insurance, using the cheapest, slowest option provided by UPS. Something immediately seemed fishy and asked them to break down the costs for me. Among other ridiculous charges, they were going to charge me $150 for the packaging alone. Needless to say, I decided to leave. That day, I called UPS corporate to understand whether or not the $800 quote was what I should expect. They said absolutely not and were shocked that I was given a quote this high. They said I shouldn't have been quoted any more than $400 for the service I was asking for. After all that, I decided to go to a different location in Piedmont where I was able to get the exact same options for a total of $240. read more
