This location was poppin on a Saturday night! It was very busy but luckily we were able to get a table for 2 with no wait. The decor was cute and felt like a cool library/ lounge with a fun sunglass wall in the back. We had wine and a bruschetta board to start - the boards are always delicious!! We also ordered the shrimp scampi which was incredibly disappointing. When I think scampi, I think pasta, there was no pasta. It was 5 pieces of shrimp, 3 pieces of hard bread (it said focaccia on the description so I was thinking light and fluffy - nope) and then the artichokes and olive oil and etc in the pan. I don't understand why restaurants leave shrimp tails on food. The last thing I want to be doing when eating is peeling off the tail of a shrimp. The shrimp was cooked well but overall the dish was hard to eat and I just didn't enjoy it. We also tried the OMG grilled cheese and that was decadent, creamy, and delicious!! Had an opportunity to have dinner at Postino 9CO recently and really enjoyed our time there. We tried Nicks Board and the bruschetta pick 4. Also arrived about 10 minutes before happy hour ended and our wait team allowed us to grab two glasses right away. Regarding nicks board, the options on this meal were so fantastic. I couldn't scream more great things about the pimento cheese and the Spanish pork link. For the bruschetta board we opted for the salami and pesto, ricotta pistachio and dates, prosciutto fig and mascarpone, and lastly goat cheese and sweet pepper jam. All of the options were so delicious; high quality ingredients that play well together and are just a party in your mouth. You don't have to ask me twice if I want a Bruschetta Board and a glass of wine for a Yelp Elite meal. Why, YES, I think I will. It is a good thing when the dish you love the most is still as good as the first time you ever had it. Today my husband accompanied me, so I talked him into trying the OMG Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup. The name says it all. We shared all the selections. But, why miss out on the other terrific flavors. The bread that is used has underpinnings of sourdough, but I don't think it is. It was very tasty with a few very tiny seeds. When gently toasted, it has just the right crunch for the bruschetta. The OMG Grilled Cheese is aptly named. Never have I ever tasted anything quite to tangy and delectable. Dipping the sandwich into the very thick tomato soup screams "my childhood dreams." Four kinds of cheese grace this pan toasted delight. Gruyère, whipped Brie, goat cheese, and white cheddar are layered with smoked bacon to create and explosion of flavors once it hits your mouth. Today was an 80 degree day in the third week of October in Denver. The big windows were open wide with many diners outside on the patio. There was a Friday afternoon vibe throughout the dining room. People were chatty all around. The wait staff couldn't have been better-friendly and efficient. But, this Postino 9CO might also be your go to place during a good old Colorado Blizzard. Prefect place for a boozy lunch! They have a really great happy hour until 5pm every day where wine by the glass and 32oz pitchers of beer are only $6! Had a chance to stop by postino to meet up with a friend on a weekday and it was solid. We were seated outside and the ambiance near the fireplace was nice and would recommend for a date. We ordered the bruschetta choose four and got the Brie+apple+fig , warm artichoke, sweet n spicy pepper jam, and smoked salmon and pesto. Very disappointed- had a reservation for 8 people at 5pm before our 6:40 movie next door. We all showed up on time and early- they didn't have a table. The excuse was the people were lingering on our table and not getting up. Well, you explain to those people when you seat them you need the table at 5:00. After last year's Elite Perk here at Postino, I just knew I had to come back for more. So when our recent Elite Week events brought me within a block, I know where I would be post workout. SPACE: Postino has the best space. It's got a mid-century modern thing going on with a sprinkling of eclecticism that I just love. My favorite feature has to be the sunglasses wall, but shelves over the bar are a close second. The space boasts a variety of seating ranging from bar seating, to booths, tables, and patio space for those ample sunny days. SIPS: Let it be known - they don't serve liquor. So if you're craving a bloody mary, go elsewhere. That being said, they do have a great local beer selection (draft, canned, and in bottles) and a wide variety of wines. SUSTENANCE: Having previously sampled their bruschetta, I knew it was a hit. Craving something different, I decided a panini would hit the spot. So I opted for the chicken mozzarella at the recommendation of both the bartender and a fellow dinner at the bar. They weren't wrong. It was delicious! For starters, the salad was simple but the perfect compliment to the flavors of the sandwich. The vinaigrette dressing they use is FIRE! The grilled chicken was shredded slightly, which I wasn't expecting, and made it more enjoyable to eat for sure. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious! SERVICE: Everyone I encountered was super friendly and helpful. My main server gave me the perfect amount of time to browse the menu, offered her advice on meal choices, and checked back to ensure I was enjoying my selection.
