We are looooong time Kirby's regulars but we wanted to remind everyone how great it is. They hit it out of the park for restaurant week. We tried almost all of that menu and every item was fantastic! Please keep supporting this wonderful restaurant. Great food. Great staff. Great atmosphere.

My mom and I came here for dinner (we've been coming here since it opened). Mani who has been her and her friend's waitperson for many occasions helped us out this evening. He asked about my stepfather who recently passed and went out of his way to be sympathetic towards my mother (this was truly going above and beyond). I've always loved the painting of James Dean that sits above the wine room and the layout of the whole restaurant has always been so well thought out. I enjoyed my usual filet and a crab cake which is hands down the best in DFW. If Mani or his manager's read this, thank you for making my mom always feel welcome especially during a difficult time for her and thank you for the Cheesecake that was impeccable.

We came back for happy hour and sat at the bar which opens at 4pm. The bartenders are amazing and very friendly. We had the tequila shrimp and split the burger. The burger was pretty good and you can taste the flame from the grill. Great prices for happy hour!

Another excellent night out at Kirby's. Service was exceptional as was the food. The crab cake was amazing with the sauce and the ending of the cheesecake was the best.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing dishes. The staff make sure to check in regularly to ensure a pleasant visit. Make sure to make a reservation to avoid not being able to get a seat. The only negative is that during busy times it is quite loud.

Our last Kirby's visit was a 5-Star experience form our steaks meticulously cooked to order and my apple martini served with gin rather than vodka and "shaken, not stirred." The service was impeccable as was the atmosphere and ambiance. And for that, we return on a regular basis. However, to our dismay our regular waiter (Mr. Jones) went out due to an illness and passed earlier in November. With the fantastic cuisine we enjoyed, Mr. Jones' service as a consummate professional was a stellar 5-Star, no less. And, my wife and I will surely miss his first-rate service, knowledge and friendliness as a Kirby ambassador and we always looked forward to Mr. Jones serving and fulfilling our requests. In addition to the best steak in Texas we always eagerly anticipated his aforementioned service and conversations. Thank you Kirby's and a heartfelt thank you for Mr. Jones. He will be missed.

    Lobster Cargot -- delicious!!

Overall had a great experience here! Started with the Lobster Cargot appetizer and half dozen oysters. The Lobster was on point with the flavor, but just a hair over cooked. The oysters were excellent just wish they'd been bigger. For entrees my husband ordered the Black Pepper Filet (medium rare) and he absolutely loved it. I ordered the Filet with the Black Truffle Butter. While it was delicious, no one can eat that much butter so I'd rather them cut the price in half and give half the quantity. We ordered Mac & Cheese as a side (which was so good, not too saucy and not too dry!) and the Bacon Brussel Sprouts, which basically tasted like nothing but onions. For dessert they brought out a complimentary chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream which was excellent!! They had so many options that appealed to me so can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu!

    Pretty but tasted like water

Came in on a Friday night. Sat in the bar area. Happy hour specials. Do not recommend the cosmo it was watery and tasted like diet cranberry. I didn't drink it. Tried their tequila shrimp, wedge salad, French onion, and split a burger. Burger was tasty as it should be for $25. Shrimp were bad. Salad and soup were 3 out of 5 star. Wine list was extensive and we enjoyed a nice bottle. The only complaint I had was when your spending over $100 for a bottle of wine bring the correct vintage or freshen the wine list. Our server was good.

Beautiful, elegant ambiance, attentive service and delightful food! I had delicious lamb chops (happy hour menu) and creamed spinach and coffee.

    Chocolate Tequilia Old Fashioned

The food, service, atmosphere and drinks are superb. The steaks and seafood are top notch. The barrel aged old fashion and chocolate old fashion area a must try. The deserts are top notch die for. All are amazing. I would highly recommend!!

Lobster escargot , one of the richest dishes I've ever eaten. Must have sourdough with it, so rich and decadent.

Make sure everything was going well. Thank God the food here is always delicious so I wouldn't have come back. The food was amazing, I got the pesto Parm sandwich, it was huge and delicious. The chicken was perfect and tender. The pesto was zesty, but not overwhelming and the vodka sauce was perfect. The fries are always tasty, but honestly, I couldn't finish them... I ate all the sandwich, but it was just too good. You couldn't stop. One of the things I do love about this place is the cute speakeasy vibe and I've been here several times and the bartenders normally are awesome and very talented. When I'm not about to go to work, I'll stop by and have a couple of drinks. And I've always had a good experience except for that one time. Just prove that you should always give your favorite places a second chance if you haven't had experience. That everybody has a bad day. Cause today was an excellent day! I really do love this place and I hope you guys come and give it a try

The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.

I decided to leave my phone at home since this was a dinner date with my husband. Well they have NO physical menus according to our server. To me that is not a good thing. However, I was provided with an IPad to scroll the menu. Water was brought to table and we each ordered a drink. I ordered the cucumber smash. The drink was delicious but took quite some time to be delivered. My husband got soda and lime and his came out quickly. Service at this point is a bit slow. The place is a bit loud and plays club music -this IS NOT a club. It is finer dining and you have to listen to the same beat over and over and over -not a fan! We were dining inside. I do believe the roof top is different. We ordered the warm goat cheese. It was served in a skillet and very warm. However the toast was soft and not crunchy or firm at all and cold. It had been toasted and had burn marks and was beautiful but then soaked in butter to soften and then very cold. Would not order again. My husband had Beef Carpaccio-he loved it-not my thing. For dinner we shared Lemon Butter Salmon & Shrimp $40 Blackened salmon and shrimp drizzled with a rich lemon butter sauce, served over fragrant saffron rice and grilled broccolini And we both did not like it at all. The saffron rice honestly made me gag and did not like the flavor. The salmon was dry and there wasn't even a hint of any lemon. The shrimp was good and broccolini was delicious. So for $100 we left hungry and had mediocre service. We will go back for roof top seating but never again indoors

After noon, you can expect the crowd to significantly increase and it will become busy. We ran into that, towards the end of our visit. With the increase in traffic, it was nice to be tended by more than one waiter. I didn't think about it then, but I would have loved to tip the second person, as well. When going to Postino's, I always try to get something new and they never fail to impress. Drink: The Mockingbird (Mocktail) - bright pineapple, a touch of Italian orange, and toasted almond bitters. This was very good and is something I'd get again. The Board: Brie, Apple & Fig Spread - this is a repeat for me, I absolutely love it. The apples are always fresh, crisp, and juicy. This is so perfect! Prosciutto Di Parma, Fig & Mascarpone - another repeat, I can't go to Postino's without having this on my board. Mushroom & Mascarpone - If you're a lover of mushrooms, you'll enjoy these little bites. I did notice, we did not get the green onions this time around and I was okay with that. They were removed, due to the current outbreak. Great thinking, Postino's! Salami & Pesto - This always closes the board for me, I love this combination. Although, I will add, I think a different type of salami would work best with this combination. West Coaster Panini - (Smoked ham, smashed avocado, arugula, roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion, Calabrian chili, feta cheese. For my side, I chose the tomato soup, my goodness, was it good. I must say, it is the best tomato soup, I've ever had. It was creamy, packed with flavor, and complimented my panini so well. Also, they add cheese tortellinis to the soup as well. So, good! This was very delicious, the ham stood out and wasn't muted. However, I think I will get another bread next time. I chose the focaccia, it was a bit too much bread for that particular sandwich. I will admit, it doesn't beat their prosciutto and brie panini; that sandwich is divine. Hot Donut Dots - (House made ricotta donut holes with salted butter chocolate, caramel and vanilla glaze dipping sauces.) These are superb and packs a lot in one bite. The cream in the middle is so smooth and full of flavor, but is very heavy. I'm not a cookies and milk person, but this dessert craves a tall glass of milk. They were hot, fresh, and I appreciate the fact that even when fried, they were not swimming in grease. The vanilla dipping sauce was my go-to, of the three sauces. They did well with this dessert, it hit all of the bases. Postino's is a great place to visit with friends, a date, or even as a solo-day/night out. They are one of my top 5 restaurants and I don't see that changing, ever!
