Salmon (sorry, it was too good to not dig in right away)
    Matt C.

We went to SoHo Wine Bar on a Wednesday around 6:30pm. We were greeted right away and sat right away. The restaurant was very quiet and had some really wonderful vibes! Really loved the atmosphere! It was very clean and well-kept. Our server came over very promptly to get us started with some drinks. She offered some suggestions on martinis, which we took her up on and were NOT disappointing at all! Started off on with mozarella di burrata, which was VERY refreshing and a great starter. We switched to a bottle of Melbac, which was reasonably priced and delicious as well. The server, as well as the owner, continued to make sure that our glasses were topped up, which was such great customer service! I had the spicy rigatoni & meatballs, and my wife had the salmon special. We shared a side of roasted brussels sprouts. The rigatoni had a great spice to it and was seasoned very well. The meatballs were extremely tender and delicious! The salmon was also seasoned and cooked to perfection. We finished the meal with a pistachio ricotta cake, which was so light and airy, VERY good! The staff were so attentive. I continued to see our server peek in and check on us, but didn't always interrupt, which I found to be very refreshing. I always think it's important to be attentive to your guests, but not to be intrusive. She could tell when we needed something and when we were just fine. AMAZING service! She was also wonderful at explaining the menu and offering some great suggestions! I noticed that as guests left their tables, they would replace the entire linens and everything promptly, which I have not seen in other restaurants. We finished our evening with a nice conversation with the owner. We told him that we were there for our anniversary, and he said we should have told him, but we wanted to experience the restaurant without them knowing it was our anniversary. Again, you wouldn't have known they didn't know, as it was an amazing experience! This is a wonderful restaurant and I HIGHLY recommend you stopping in and getting some great food!

We had the best time tonight. The food was great the service was amazing. The Pear martini was 5 stars and everyone was so accommodating. Mentor was an absolute delight. He was attentive and his recommendations were spot on. First time here and I'll be back! Thank you!!

We came here for our 10 year anniversary and enjoyed an amazing dinner! From the moment we walked in the hostess was super friendly and then we sat down and Issac was our server and was so kind and helpful! Gave us great recommendations on food and drinks! The food was phenomenal and drinks were great! The owner Mentor came out talked to us was very very kind! This is an amazing date night spot for small bites and grabbing drinks or have a great dinner with the people you love! 10 out of 10 recommend SoHo and we will for sure be back!

Randomly came to eat here without any expectations... I loved it! The food was delicious, it was so obviously fresh. We got the mozzarella burrata, cesar salad, spicy rigatoni w/ chicken, margharita pizza, and espresso martini. From the first bite I could just tell the food was amazing. The ambiance was great, with cute paintings and decor everywhere (great photo op). Besides that our server Tamera was the sweetest! Price was also not bad for everything that we got. What was a random visit will now be a staple place to go to.

We had a double date here for our first visit and dinner was fantastic! We started out with cocktails. I had the pear martini which was such a delight while my husband had a local IPA. Our server brought out some fresh focaccia along with an order of calamari as an appetizer. I ordered their ahi tuna which was good, though I've had better. My husband ordered one of their chef's special, shrimp cavatelli pasta, however he received the wrong dish. I believe it was due to a poor communication error/understanding. They were very apologetic and made the correct dish which did take some time to get out. We ordered a bottle of their Camus Cab for the table and enjoyed a slice of cheesecake to finish off our meal with great company! I will definitely return and try their rigatoni with meatballs which our friend ordered and looked delicious!

What a hidden Gem!!! From the moment we stepped foot inside this place was nothing short of INCREDIBLE! The ambiance, the service, THE FOOD was absolutely amazing! We will w/o a doubt be returning customers & probably regulars! So if yall haven't tried out this joint, I highly recommend doing so! We ordered several dirty gin martinis (excellent) WITH THE BLUE CHEESE , the Hotsy Totsy Shrimp, Beet salad, and Fungi Pizza... everything smelled incredible, so I didn't take the time to take pictures (sorry for stuffing my face) of the 1st items, but trust me, they were beautifully presented & very tasty!!!

Definitely the worst pizza I've ever had. Very disappointed to have tried SoHo tonight - slow service and terrible pizza that was pretty much just all cheese as you can see in the photo. The cheese pizza my family had was no better. Avoid SoHo!

This was my first time at SoHo and well I'm sold and our waiter Jacob was top tier. The spicy rigatoni was amazing but with Jacob it was even better.

The music selection and volume were equally well done, balanced in a way that felt welcoming to every generation. At one point, I almost felt like I had stepped into the bar scene from *The Shining*, not in a creepy sense, but in that nostalgic, timeless atmosphere kind of way. The Old Fashioned was prepared exactly right, especially with my request for lighter bitters since I do not enjoy it overly sweet. Many places miss that balance, but they nailed it here. The charcuterie board was easily one of the best I have had. The mozzarella and white cheddar were perfectly portioned, fresh, and rich. The green apple slices tasted incredibly fresh, like they had just been picked from the orchards of Apple Hill in California. The honeycomb was a first for me on a board and made the experience especially memorable. The artwork throughout the space also adds a unique character that I always appreciate in a restaurant. The prosciutto was a little tough but still had good flavor, while the Calabrese was spot on. Service was professional and attentive, with frequent check-ins throughout the evening. My only recommendation would be for servers to introduce themselves, as that small touch makes the experience feel more personal and welcoming rather than simply transactional.

I also would like to try basil pesto or vodka sauce but the cream sauce was so insanely good with the pillowy gnocchi that I just don't think I could bear to not get it every time. I definitely would try the sausage meatballs, which my husband got and they were good. The steak meatballs were good but I really like steak-- I think it needs to be your thing. First thing we were told was that the Nonna's garlic bread was not available. Disappointing but we moved on. Ordered 2 of the Pentolino (Little Pot) meatball samplers. One with marinara one with bolognese. They weren't dry but they were all just okay. Mid at best. I also did not care for the bolognese. The Cibatta bread that came was also too charred for us. It had a strong charcoal taste that we didn't care for. They also no longer serve sliced steak. You can only get the meatballs. 4 of us ordered the Tony's steak meatball, truffle mushroom sauce with Gnocchi. We ordered it because that's what my son was raving about. I don't know what happened between visits but he took his bite first, made a face and apologized to us. Then I took a bite. First of all, the truffle flavor was waaaaay too much and tasted artificial (like commercially prepared truffle oil). But the biggest disappointment was the Gnocchi. I would bet a kidney that there was absolutely zero potato in that dense chewy "dumpling " whatsoever. It was hands down the worst Gnocchi I have ever eaten. It tasted and looked like folded over pappardelle with the consistency of super dense pasta. It was so bad my daughter in law asked for something different and I just didn't eat mine. Eventually she got the chicken parm meatball with spaghetti. We all tried a bite. Again, it was okay but I've tasted better at chain restaurants. And I'm Italian so that's saying something. I don't know if we got them on an off day or what but after spending over $200 for 4 people for lunch, none of us will be returning.
