I came across this reposturing center through Groupon. I wanted to see how I can improve my posture. I am a healthy guy in 30s but have had some trouble with my posture such as slouching, not sitting upright, and experience pain in my shins, lower legs and lower back after some intense workout which I haven't been able to improve. On my first visit, I came to know a lot of things about how our body and posture works. Aaron and Josh are very knowledgeable and I was wondering why didn't I know before that such massage therapy exists. I immediately opted for more massage sessions with Josh. As our sessions are progressing, I have got to know how different parts of our body are connected together and work in harmony with each other to produce our motions and result into our current posture. Josh is a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly guy. Even though I have 1-hour sessions scheduled, he is willing to spend more time to make sure that my exercises and therapy planned for the session are done. This place is so cute! Hidden on Doctor Drive, the Vitality center is a unique little collection of wellness businesses. This is a really similar concept to Sola Salon Studios, there are many individual businesses that share this building. i have always believed that being healthy and feeling good involved a healthy straight posture. I know that my posture isn't what it should be from all the years of accumulated bad habits because I felt more tired and experienced minor backaches so I decided to give Aaron's Reposturing Dynamics a try due to a groupon deal I had found and I'm glad I did. Otherwise I would have never known about his great techniques for repositioning postures back into its natural state. I went in with the expectation of mainly to help promote a better posture but to also hopefully address an ongoing numbness in my hands that I experienced almost every morning. My first session with him was 1.5 hours long and was very informative. He was very attentive and addressed all the questions I had. After my consultation with him, he first worked on my neck a bit and then my torso because the fundamental of promoting good posture is to have a stable/good foundation which made sense to me. Immediately after the first session I felt more energetic the following day but I did start to experience a lot of pain in my arm and hands. When I asked him about this he explained to me that sometimes there may be more pain for a short period after because my body is trying to heal. Sure enough after about 2 days my arms and hands didn't hurt anymore and the numbness that I had experienced each morning went away as well. It has been about a month since I have finished my groupon sessions with him and the numbness have not come back since. I was so freaked out about why my hands were experiencing it. Aaron Parnell's Reposturing approach is just plain different. After a car accident three years ago, I have had severe back problems and seen a plethora of healers. I went in with a Groupon offer hoping to rid myself of my daily shoulder/back pain. What I got was so much more! So far, so good! I am on my way back for a second session today and feel very positive! I have had awful back pain in my tail bone area for 3 years. The past year, I have had terrible knee pain too. I have seen 3 different chiropractors and a physical therapist and general practitioner. They have tested me for countless autoimmune problems and suggested special diets and supplements but nothing has made a long term difference... Until now!I went to see Aaron 2 days ago and I am amazed to say, I feel fine! I have a bit of muscle soreness from the exercises but it feels like I had a good workout. He is friendly, fun to talk to, and had confidence in his work. He said all of the back and knee therapy that I have been getting is not going to change the origin of the pain which is my hips. We discovered Aaron after our son's high school track coach recommended that he see him for a hip flexer problem that threatened to keep him out for the season. I have had a really great experience with Aaron and his practice and in particular Ky his young protege, and highly recommend giving this treatment option a chance especially when other options have failed. I found Aaron to be highly skilled, knowledgeable and pleasant. I had a noticeable improvement in first couple of session I had with him and it convinced me this was worth pursuing. Aaron is the guru of this technique , and although introductory groupon was a great deal, he offered his more affordable protege (Ky) as an option for ongoing treatment, which worked great for me. I was highly impressed with Ky. He is a smart young guy, putting himself through college in a related field. He is very knowledgeable and skilled with a infectious enthusiasm for his work. In particular he has shown great care and flexibility in my treatment, really listening to my preferences and spending time showing me (even helping video) exercises I can do at home. After a couple of months, I feel much better (not cured but significant progress) and I feel confident that this approach is something I will continue. Some other notes: - the basic premise of my treatment is around body alignment and in my case a tendency to tilt forward (hops, shoulders and neck). the sessions and exercises I now do at home work at correcting that mis-alignment (re-posturing) - I have had chronic back pain for a few years that is fairly well controlled with chiropractic care, occasional medication and my own stretching and strength exercises. I am lucky enough to be able to maintain a fairly active lifestyle but about a year ago I suffered rotator cuff injury that I couldn't shake and it made riding painful and swimming impossible. - I am still trying to get my treatment covered by my insurer (UHC). Its been a couple of months with no update. regardless I plan to continue treatment with Ky - its worth noting, as others have, that this is not spa treatment. Its a fairly intensive correction of years of mis-alignment. Its therefore somewhat uncomfortable. it always done in a controlled manner and with constant feedback and it works well for me but might not be everyone cuppa tea. read more
