Being from California i'll have to admit this was one of the best sandwhich places i've ever been to. I think i ordered the Italian and it was one of the best sandwhiches i've had. Kind of sucks that we dont have it in California because i find this place delicious. I love the fact that you can get ice cream sandwhiches here and that you can get a beer as well at any time of the day. We intended to go to the nearby grill place, but there was a long of people waiting outside so we looked for something else and landed at Potbelly's. We hesitated to give up the expected steak dinner for soup and sandwich, but the unique decor and the low prices convinced us to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. Three nice guys behind the counter got the food out pretty quickly. The soup was hot and didn't seem like any canned stuff I know. The sandwich was full of content with only a thin bread layer, which was very nicely grilled. We both ordered roast beef, which wasn't fat or salty. My husband got extra meat for additional 50 cents. Never used to like this place because my sandwiches were always dry. Thankfully the oil option eliminates that! I tried the smoke ham flatbread with extra mushrooms last night and it was delicious. They do good mushrooms. We came at the perfect time, there was nobody in line and 5 minutes later it was packed. read more

I love potbelly but would never recommend this location. They did not have "The Wreck" (their most popular sandwich), 3 people in a row tried to order it. They were out of lemonade and I had to wait 15+ minutes for Mac and cheese after paying for it. I understand it's not fully the employees fault, but all of the employees had air pods in the entire time, which I thought was rude. Also, there was no one else sitting down to eat, but it was difficult to find a clean table. Management needs to do something! read more

I'll start by saying I go to this location at least 3 times a week for breakfast and lunch and have never had an issue. Then this morning I go for breakfast for 2 sandwiches. MAJOR communication issue with what I was ordering. I must've gone over it with 2 ladies 4-5 times, nothing difficult. A regular bacon egg and cheese and a big tky supreme with egg. I couldn't see over the counter to verify that the sandwiches were correct but I should've checked before leaving. NEITHER one was what I had ordered, instead I ended up with a regular tky supreme and a big tky supreme without egg..no bacon egg and cheese at all haha. Work on the communication guys. Even with long lines. Extremely Fast service. One of the best Potbellys. The live music is bomb here. Good food. Good jams.

I LOVE Potbelly, but this location didn't have a changing table for my child so it was either the floor (gross!) or the back seat of my car while it was raining. If they'd just order a $200 changing table, that would be great. read more

I eat here almost too much! it is consistently my go-to place for a quick sandwich that is delicious and less than $5. Yum!

My office is located right next door to this Potbelly, and I usually eat here at least once a week. I've always been impressed by the quick, efficient service, the quality sandwiches and the reasonable prices. The ladies behind the counter always turn out an excellent meal. That's why today's visit was such a disappointment. There seemed to be only one guy there, and he was in a hurry. My sandwich was made poorly--he shorted me on the ingredients. The bread itself was stale--seemed to be at least a day old--and it was falling apart. My sandwich was sort of a "hold it together with two hands and pray" sort of affair. I love potbellys! My favorite is the Italian with everything. The hot peppers are my fav part of this sandwich. That's why when I went there for lunch and ordered my sandwich and I didn't see any hot peppers, better yet any toppings in my sandwich, I went to the register and told them. The guy running the register was very apologetic and offered to give me my correct sandwich. The guy who gave me the sandwich was great too. I work for a big office in Reston. We do order from Potbelly a lot. Most times we have ordered, an employee named Taylor has delivered our food for us, and has been super fantastic amazing with his costumer service. More employees in general should be like this. I would give no stars if I could. Out of the three times I've ordered online from this location, only once have they been able to actually get me the correct food in a reasonable amount of time. The first time, it took them 30 minutes after I'd arrived to the store (45 after ordering) to realize that my sandwich had been sitting on the back counter the whole time. Today, they just gave me the completely wrong sandwich, and failed to even ask what I had ordered. Nothing wrong with the food here, but go to other potbelly locations if you can. read more

I have ordered takeout here many times using the app. You should know that whatever time you put on your order for pickup, they will not begin making your order until I walk in. This particular location is the first EVER experience I had with Potbelly. My husband and I moved from WI to Reston almost 4 yrs. ago, and I take every family member and friend here. Quality food and service, fresh every time. It's so delicious for a cheaper place, there's new local music acts that perform every Wednesday (and they're AMAZING!!), the place is always clean, even when it's SUPER packed and busy, and it's always a good time here. I learned through a few other customers, that there is a local homeless man, that comes here often, and they will give him a soup and sandwich for free. They let him stay long after closing time, and the employees will sit and talk with him. If you ask any of them, they deny knowing what you're talking about, but I've witnessed it. Just one more reason I will continue to come here, and bring along anyone for a visit. :) read more

Very convenient. The veggies always appear fresh and they are pretty fast and consistent. The only negative I have experienced is that they occasionally run out of my favorite bread. I also have opted to get my drinks from the convenience store in which the sub way shop is located because they have bigger cups for lower prices. read more

Awful management of online orders. Placed an order online that was to be ready for a 7:15 pickup. Arrived before 7:15, ordered another sandwich in person, and then patiently waited for the original online order. There were three employees present: two workers and the manager on duty. Told both the workers and then the manager on duty about my online order, providing my name and what was ordered; I then stood there for several minutes while the first worker tried to give me someone else's order. The second worker seemed to understand what I said and then started busily working on my order -- or so I thought. Finally after nearly 10 minutes, the first worker finally understood what my order was, after being told a second time by the manager. Worker One then noticed that my order had been sitting there the whole time, getting cold, on the counter near the ordering area. So I got my order but not even an apology for gross incompetence by these Three Stooges. Ridiculous. The owner really needs to hire people with half a brain who can understand English!!! read more

The food is good, predictable as with any chain. I tried the online ordering since I was short on time and hoping to avoid waiting in line. I placed my order in the morning for pick up at 11:45. Arrived at 11:45 and went to the area with a sign "online and phone orders here". The entire staff was serving the line and I was ignored for 10 minutes. Finally a staff member rudely asked if I'd been helped. I explained I was there to pick up my order, he disappeared and came back with my now cold sandwich. I ordered a sandwich online yesterday noon. I went there and was told there was a mistake on my order and they would make one for me right now. OK. I waited. Five mins later. The guy saw me still standing there and promised again he would make one for me in a second. OK. I waited again. But after 15 mins. My sandwich was still not ready. I couldn't bear it any more. I asked the guy for a refund. The guy said he didn't understand what went wrong and refunded me the money right away WITHOUT the TAX. If there is something wrong with my order, either refund me the money or correct the mistake right away. Don't keep me waiting. The bottom line is that the store has the least decency and honesty to take care of customer. I will never visit any potbelly again. read more

I stopped in to this location this evening and ordered a Big Grilled Chicken and Cheddar sandwich to take home for dinner. With a drink it came to about $10.00. I have no idea how anyone would consider the Big sized sandwich the largest size on ANY menu. To me, it's the dinkiest little sandwich I've ever eaten. I ordered it with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise and mustard. Once I got home and unwrapped the sandwich, I noticed that there was barely anything inside the darn thing. In particular, there wasn't even enough chicken inside of it to even honestly call it a true chicken sandwich. Basically, what I ended up getting was a bun with too much mayonnaise and mustard. What a complete waste of money!!! It doesn't surprise me that this sandwich shop doesn't allow its customers to see what the employees are doing behind the counter, when they're making your sandwich. As far as I'm concerned, this place is a complete rip-off and cuts corners. I intend to take my business to Subway, where at least they're honest enough to let you see what you're getting and paying for. read more
