I have visited the rim location many times and every time service has been amazing. There is one employee here that I always enjoy. I believe his name is Jonathan. He seems like a manager or just a really hard working employee. He is always in a good mood and very attentive. He seems to really enjoy where he works and it shows. I ordered off of DoorDash the other day and Jonathan called me to clarify that there were no bottled sprites and offered the fountain drink sprite. Seems like a small detail but I am glad he pays attention to these little details. The food is always solid. I usually get a wreck and it never disappoints. They have an APP. If you order using google, to this location don't do it. It sends it to another location saying it's ready, the number is also the other location. I get there and they have yet to put my order together and I proceed to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to get my order wrong and then properly fix it. Very turned off from the get. Ordered the smoked ham and Swiss. So this guy is weighing the ham which he takes from a stainless steel container that is arrayed like at Subway behind glass with other containers, it looked unkempt and I wondered if it was even kept at the proper temperature. First of all, so you know, the ham is VERY marbled, looks like 20% or more fat. He clumped some on a scale then on the sandwich bread. Then put some more then put it back on the scale. They were being so skimpy on the meat which did not look good to begin with. The little scale made me think this is a struggling business worried about every nickle. He asked me again what kind of cheese. Would you like to add anything to that, some mushrooms? I said sure even though mushrooms in a sandwich is different but I like mushrooms. So then I ask for mustard, pickles, etc. He says that I get that at the "next station" but there is no one there and he has already moved on to two guys from Outdoor World on their lunch break. So I am standing there as two employees are clocking out and one at the register is apparently the one left to finish my sandwich. Bad first impression, and last. I was a little disappointed that Potbelly does not offer any type of kid's meal at all. They suggested the small subs for kids. They also don't offer any "combo" meals to add chips and a drink and mentioned everything is "a la carte". Between my two kids and myself, our meals came to over $30 with chips and drinks. Ouch! We could have eaten at a "sit down" restaurant (and have been waited on) for just about the same price. Don't get me wrong, we love good subs and frequent Firehouse, Lenny's, Jersey Mikes, etc. I was excited a new sub shop was in town and eager to try it.
