The service is very poor. I put ordered for few hours ahead for the sandwich and pineapple passion fruit drink but the time I came, all the drinks as in the picture were empty. I asked one of the staff, there was no drink. He came to the kitchen for a while and I thought he made the drink. Was waiting and waiting then another lady asked me is something wrong with the order. Had a catered order placed less than 48 hours. Mgmt was very accommodating and sat down with us to place the order for 70 people. The sandwiches are hot and are toasted. It is definitely a step up from Firehouse subs. The restaurant looks like it used to be a Quiznos. Since I am not from Chantilly area, I don't know what it was before it became Potbelly. Being from California, my meeting attendees loved the sandwiches and all agree there should be Potbelly Sandwiches In Southern California. The sandwiches are freshly made to order. The sandwiches are not skimpy but hearty. The restaurant is clean & has places to sit & dine. It is located in a business park so there were hardly anyone dining in but majority were take out/pick up orders. The staff at this Potbelly's were friendly and there were plenty of tables for us when we arrived for lunch on a weekday. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I really enjoyed my sandwich! They also had a great combo deal going on where you could get chips and a drink with your order for a discounted price. Note for the manager: Whoever's in charge of taking orders here needs to be aware of the "secret" menu where everything on there is essentially 2 regular sandwiches combined. Potbelly is my favorite sandwich chain and my order here is the lucky 7 (Wreck + Italian combined together in 1 bread, its thick and loaded with probably about a week's worth of sodium). And no matter which location i've been to, the person taking the order either knew what it was or knew where to look. The low ratings surprise me. It is a Potbelly, exactly what it should be. Very cookie cutter, usually friendly services, knock on wood never had a problem with their sandwiches.. most recently turkey cheddar bacon on flatbread was phenomenal!! This potbelly has a lot issues. My wife and I were the only 2 people here ordering and it took 20 mins to get our sandwiches. My wife got the Mediterranean sandwich and he didn't put any hummus in there, and for some reason he put mushrooms on top. There's no mushrooms in the Mediterranean sandwich. I understand we should support our businesses due to covid but please at least make sure the order is right. The owner didn't even seem to care when he saw us question the order. Tried using the app/potbelly perks only to get super frustrated having to log back in (apparently there was an update) and my last used password wasn't working - told I had to reset. So I reset my password, Didn't work. After resetting a few more times I was finally able to get in only to find there was no Wreck Salad on the menu. WTF? How do you get rid of the Wreck Salad. I decided to go to the store to see if the app was just messed up and nope - the Wreck Salad has been removed from the menu. I asked one of the workers (maybe manager?) at the register and he said I could still order it since it was still in their register system. Great! So I order two different salads (thankfully the Uptown was still there) with some special requests (remove blue on the Wreck, add some items to the Uptown), a soup, and a milkshake. I move down the line... the woman taking the sandwiches off the toaster asked what I would like... I said I ordered salads, not the sandwiches on coming out of the toaster. She asks the man at the register if he was going to fix the salads - he said he would. Now, I'm assuming that the "special requests" have been conveyed since the woman I gave my order to say anything other than "okay". The gentleman asked if I wanted croutons on the Wreck. I happened to look over the counter and saw there was blue cheese on the salad. I thought it might be my Uptown so I said yes, I'd like croutons on both. He looked questioningly at me so I said I ordered an Uptown, too. Oh. So then I realized the salad he just made was the Wreck, which wasn't supposed to have blue cheese. I told him I ordered the Wreck with no blue cheese. He very nicely said no problem and started fixing a new salad. So then I realize I probably need to let him know the added requests on the Uptown and the dressings I ordered. No problem. All good. He was really nice and scanned my perks number and applied the free cookie. So all in all a little frustrating and took a while to get it all sorted out. However, when I get home I realize my Uptown salad does not have the glazed walnuts - one of my favorite toppings in this salad! This is now the 2nd time they've been left off. Very disappointing. The one time recently they were on the salad, they forgot to give me any dressing. :( I much prefer ordering from the app - but without the Wreck Salad on the app's menu, I didn't have much choice but to go into the restaurant. Epic fail, which is not something I write about very often. Unfortunately, this place left a horrible first impression. In an area with a multitude of restaurants, no one can afford to do so. I was at a local business about a mile away from this Potbelly. Two groups had meetings ongoing, and the company ordered meals from Potbelly (about two dozen orders of sandwiches and salads). The meals were supposed to arrive between noon and 12:30 PM, but they did not show up until 1:00 PM. From what I heard, Potbelly kept telling our hosts that the delivery person would be there momentarily quite a while before he showed up. Kind of like the airlines telling you they will give you an update on your delayed flight in an hour or so. Meanwhile, hungry people were waiting around. Finally, the delivery person showed up. But it gets worse. He forgot to bring the chips for the sandwiches, which is not good. OK, maybe we can go ahead and eat. However, he also forgot one order, meaning someone had no sandwich at all. The delivry person went back for that sandwich and the chips, which added another half hour to the delay for our friend with no food. After all that, the sandwich was only so-so. Other places in the area have much better offerings. Given this failure, I am afraid that Potbelly has seen the last of us. It is not a place I will go on my own. Sure, I don't think that I will have an hour wait at the restaurant, but why go for a mediocre sandwich when there are much better choices? Your results may vary. read more

I came in close to closing (9pm, with closing at 9:30) with a simple order. There were no other customers in the shop. The one guy in there was cleaning, and did not acknowledge me or immediately even come over. He eventually asked me for the bread and meat I wanted. Once it was put into the toaster, another woman came out to help him close up. She also did not acknowledge me with a greeting but held an entire conversation with him about how she wouldn't mind helping him because he wasn't lazy like others. It was super awkward and poor timing. I wanted to purchase a shake but the poor service made me just want to leave. I'm only giving this visit 2 stars because my food was made correctly. read more
