This potbelly location never disappoints! My partner and I live closer to a different Potbelly location and feel that our sandwiches are made with more care here so it is worth the drive. We don't typically eat on location and this night I ordered my roast beef sandwich and brownie cookie through the app for pick up to enjoy at home. I was happy that my food was ready quickly and sealed in the pick-up cubby. I made the last minute decision to buy an extra cookie and the cashier was quick and friendly. Masks and gloves were being worn as well and that made me feel safe. The only downside is finding parking to pick up but this location does offer curbside pick-up! My wife and I are frequent Potbelly customers and yesterday we ordered a "BIG" sized sandwich, a Wreck with pretty much everything, but I always ask for no extra oil. The hot peppers have enough oil in them for me. The BIG sandwich is enough for the two of us to split when we are hungry but not ravenously hungry. I like the whole wheat bread but my wife doesn't so when we split a BIG, we get the white bread. I also like the Cubano when they have it, but I ask for a light topping of mustard. Other favorites are the Italian and the Tuna (but with Cheddar instead of Swiss). I wish they had American cheese like they did many years ago, but the cheddar is ok. If you use the mobile app and pick up your sandwich, you don't have to wait in line, and the sandwiches are just as good. I usually order online and then eat-in. The loyalty points on the app are great - free sandwiches, cookies etc. If you're a Costco member you may also buy gift cards for Potbelly and get a nice discount on your food. The shakes are really good, but the sandwich is enough calories for me. Sometimes I get a complimentary cookie I don't turn down with my loyalty points. The sugar is my favorite. Haven't tried the soups or salads. I like this Potbelly location by Loyola, closest one to home, but it's almost 2 miles away so I'm always driving there. Free parking is tough but there is a 15 minute zone just to the north next to the CVS where I can usually get a parking spot and that's enough time to pick up my sandwich and eat it inside or take it home. The other parking in the area is either not free or it's permit because of the proximity to Loyola and the Red Line stop. read more

Factory Sandwich commercialization is everywhere and their Sandwiches are okay, albeit be less salty. Staff is polite and professional, not sloppy & rude like frumpy teenagers at Wendy's and McDonald's ! Dining rooms are clean and comfortable. Good for lunches and quick take-away. read more

This is a very nice Potbelly's near Loyola University. I stopped in to have dinner yesterday afternoon while visiting the area. The Turkey BLT was good and it was a little bit spicy with the peppers on it. The Mac and Cheese was a creamy compliment to it. It was not too crowded but seems at times to swell with various Loyola students coming through. The food is so good it is hard to even think of this establishment as a chain. They do it very well. This is more of an overall review than just about the food. Some of the staff could try harder to be friendly or act (fake it) more thankful. They keep it very clean from what I can see each time I have gone in. I really enjoy the chili and the shakes. A lot of Loyola students of course which is great for them and students parents come in while visiting you can see as well. Great campus, great area overall. They have a bulletin board in front but seems to be only for Loyola events or students. Perhaps they should add another one to include non students or residents from the area that are customers. read more

While in Chicago for a week, I stopped by Potbelly Sandwich Shop for dinner. There was little to no waited although there was a line. And there is quite a bit of seating within the restaurant. I ordered the classic bbq pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and a side of mac & cheese. Right after ordering they ran out of mac & cheese. They said it would be about 10 mins and I was in no hurry so I decided to wait. The staff was so kind and polite and continually apologize for the delay. I ended up getting a free drink just for the wait! The sandwich was delicious and so was the mac & cheese! The also have other options like turkey, chicken, veggie, cuban. If you order online and have the sandwich made for pickup, you're golden. Never had a messed up order. If you come here and order the food in the restaurant, you will witness 2 employees actually making food while 3 others just walk around or text in the back of the house area. The 2 employees will also make all of the online orders that come in first before helping out those in line. I have spent 20 minutes here to get food with only 3 others before me. I work at Loyola University, and this location has been a great partner for our annual health fair. We always use Potbelly as our lunch vendor, and order around 140 sandwiches, which is alot to handle. They are always professional and deliver on time. The sandwiches were all labeled and well made, and we didn't have any complaints. If you are in the Rogers Park area, I suggest using them for big events. read more

And top notch customer service. my fault on the app for not realizing you must select all condiments or you get a dryer than the Sahara desert sandwich! The line was waaaaay too long to fix my mess up, so we ate our dry sammies with drizzled soup on top to make it bearable. I left customer feedback on my app and Steven called my cell to make things right - he even added some cookies to our order the following day! Every Potbelly I have ever been to has had great food and great staff. This one is no exception. We ordered with no issues, paid, and were on our way. The Potbelly was pretty clean when I was there even though it was very busy. It is laid out just like any other one so nothing too unique there, but why try to fix what doesn't need fixing? It is right next to the Loyola campus so it will be filled with college students a lot of the time. So if that doesn't bother you, then by all means, enjoy a Potbelly sandwich. As Potbelly locations go, this one is totally fine. The staff isn't exactly in the mood to party, but they get it done, give you what you're looking for out of a Potbelly, and they're reasonable. Seating is a bit more limited than your typical location, and the solicitor/panhandling riff raff on the sidewalk makes coming here a bit more obnoxious than you'd like... but that's not the shop's fault. Ordered a Mediterranean sandwhich, clarified no meat because I'm vegetarian. Unfortunately the sandwhich master was busy talking about his age with his co workers and not paying attention to my order. Friendly guy I'm sure with good intentions but not good at Multi tasking .I get home bite into the sandwhich and accidentally eat a piece of chicken. My sandwhich has chicken all over it and was ruined. And now I'm sick to my stomach. I called the store the young lady that answered was pleasant and apologetic but not the GM so it's out of her control. Was picking up my boyfriends mobile order and decided to see if they were able to make a Italian without bread and just charge me for the meats and cheese weight. I've previously bought just turkey breast from them via the app and since I'm unable to eat bread due to a wheat allergy I hoped this was a option since the Italian always smells so good. Anyways, I was told by the gal that this was possible so she proceed to toast the meat and cheese for me. However once I was checking out before the meat and cheese was done I explained how I was just buying the meat and cheese but the cashier said I would still be charged the sandwich cost. Why did I just pay ~$7 - the same price for a whole pound of meat for a measly portion?? I felt uncomfortable canceling the order since it was being toasted but I think this is ridiculous how much I was charged. They did ask me what toppings and since I was charged so much I went along with it and got some but I had toppings at home I could've used - I wish the cashier hadn't made me feel unable to contest the price but whatever. Definitely will no longer be purchasing my meats through potbelly and might have to take the trek to jimmy Johns whenever I'm grabbing my boyfriends lunch because he has me pick up potbelly almost 3x a week for him and if this is the customer service I'm gonna get I rather go elsewhere. I also previously sent in a complaint through the app when I picked up my turkey breast and went home to find it not sliced but a ball of just shredded meat which is a not what the pics on the app showed and I wanted sliced deli meat. Larnell is the single greatest human I have never had the pleasure of meeting. Let me paint you a picture of how I could make such a bold claim. There I was, desperately craving the savory aroma of a cup of broccoli cheddar soup, but with no way of physically going to grab it. Knowing how convenient the app is and how pleasant the delivery people are, I place an online order. To my dismay, I discover that they are not delivering! I call and am pleasantly and warmly greeted by Larnell, who comforts me as I realize the futility of my efforts. In my grief, I call a good friend who generously offers to go pick up an online order for me. I place another order as she hurries to the closing location. With a minute until the shop closes, she walks in the doors and explains the situation to a very patient and receptive Larnell. He then lovingly prepares my lifesaving meal and treats my friend with respect and humor. I am eternally grateful for Larnell and the entire Potbelly store for their help in this my darkest hour and will continue to HIGHLY recommend their services to any and all who will listen. read more
