This was my first visit to Potbelly! I've been wanting to try them for years and finally decided to give them a try during their BOGO week. I ordered the Prime Rib Steak and Cubano sandwiches, and I enjoyed both. However, the Prime Rib Steak was definitely my favorite and would be my go-to choice if I return. I ordered through the app, and my order was ready right on time. Overall, I had a good first experience and would definitely consider coming back to try more of the menu. read more

The staff at this Potbelly are super friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are consistently delicious and it's always clean. I'm not a fan of the packaged mini chocolate chip cookies but I don't think they're made in house. Definitely go visit this potbelly and get a yummy sub. My favorite is the Italian. This place has some amazing sandwiches, and better yet the management is outstanding. Working in the restaurant, I definitely try to give the benefit of the doubt whenever any uncertainty arises. I was in town for work from California, where I don't think there are any Potbelly's, and my sandwich wasn't made the way I wanted it because my cousin and I ordered the same thing together. When we went to have the toppings put on, she made them the same. I can see how that could cause confusion. Anyhow, the manager, Arthur, without anyone saying anything, first noticed that something went wrong, and then came over to the table to offer to re-make the sandwich. I thanked him and declined not wanting a good sandwich to go to waste. He then returned to offer the next sandwich on the house for the accident. Super nice gesture, and needless to say we returned three more times for sandwiches on our four day trip. Guess we're a couple ourselves. read more

I've been a fan of Potbelly for a very very long time, so much that I decided to work there! The University/TCU location is probably the busiest in Fort Worth, since it's right next to the TCU campus and many businesses in the area. Lunch crowds are crazy (the sign says it's a 7 minute wait from the door, but I don't know if I believe that), and fundraising nights can have lines out the door. The menu is very simple, with basic sandwiches, but it is ever-growing. Sandwiches are currently $4.39 (I think) plus tax, which is more than I think should be, considering they used to be $3.89 back in 2006. Soups are good, and the most popular is probably the broccoli cheese, which smells delicious. The cookies are fantastic (best sugar cookie I've ever had, hands down), the shakes are hand spun and made with real ice cream... what else to say? I did work there, so I have a bit of a bias, but even if I hadn't, I would recommend Potbelly 100% to anyone. read more

Potbelly is the ONLY place that does tuna right, in my opinion. That alone is enough for a 5 star review. Forget everything you think you know about soggy Subway or sketchy Quiznos tuna subs. Potbelly's tuna has just a touch of mayo and is toasted to perfection. My favorite combo: tuna/cheese on wheat, lettuce, those awesome long-sliced pickles, and their brown mustard. Perfect. I used to come here sometimes during my lunch break. It was always crowded with TCU students and the parking lot was small. I honestly didn't think there was anything special about this place. Their big thing was the hot peppers, and I'm not a fan so I wasn't impressed. Their shakes were good but I'm not coming to a sandwich place just for their shakes. With so many sandwich places to go to, it's hard for one to stick out. I'd heard Potbelly's was awesome, but I have to admit that I rarely ever, ever, ever say "I feel like eating a sandwich". In fact, if I am purchasing a meal that is ready for consumption it's almost a 99.9% guarantee that I will not get a sandwich ;). Talk about Potbelly's is different though, in that, most people go out of their way to say just how awesome this place is. Upon finally trying this place out, immediately something on their menu caught my attention which happened to be their Mediterranean sandwich consisting of hummus, chicken, artichokes, and feta cheese. It was sooo amazing and that warm burst of hummus sets this sandwich place apart from all others!! Not to mention their hand-dipped shakes made with only real ingredients. Just an FYI............the University location is horrible to get to. I mean just where exactly are you supposed to park?? I'm sure they do very well just catering to the college kids but as someone who works a few minutes from here, I usually opt to go a few extra miles to the Hulen location. Many of my friends have told me to go to Potbelly Sandwich Works and after 2 years of hearing about it I finally decided to hit it up. The decor is nice, it's not like a Subway or Firehouse that give off the kind of "yeah you can eat here if you want" kind of vibe. No, Potbelly looks and feels comfortable with a nice staff and the atmosphere that's comfortable. On the flip side we have the food and to save some screen real estate I'll just say that while it's good, I don't think it's entirely worth the price. I decided on "A Wreck" which from what I've heard from my friends (and the employees) was the go-to sandwich. It's got Salami, roast beef, turkey, and ham which certainly sounded amazing but in my opinion it was a bit lack luster. Not bad mind you but just not what I expected. I almost feel bad saying that because maybe it's just me; maybe I just grew out of my sandwich shop phase and I'm just being unfair, it's possible who knows? Well I guess it comes down to if I would recommend it or not and.... yeah I don't see why not. The sandwich was tasty just not what I expected, maybe my friends just hyped it up so I expected a sandwich made by The Lord himself. Try it out, you won't regret that you did you just may be a little disappointed. read more

I used to frequent Potbelly's when I lived in Ft Worth. The sandwiches are simply delicious. Some of the best tuna sandwiches I've ever had. The milkshakes were darn good too. The only things I didn't like about it was the forced overly-friendliness of the staff (they are simply WAY too happy to see you), and the lack of parking (there is a lot, but it is incredibly small). read more

Very unprofessional employee, she called me out of my name multiple times in front of customers. I was forced to leave when all I did was walk in and sit down. She was behind the counter talking very bad about me she even threatened me. Then after all of that I was the one forced to leave. I will never buy anything from them again!!!! read more

Stopped in here before the OSU/TCU football game. The sandwiches were decent and they were super quick. We tried bars around but all of them were packed... we should have known a sandwich shop with no alcohol would be the faster option on game day! Potbelly is a chain. It is not local. But you know what, this location in particular keeps me coming back. The staff are friendly and act like your visit is the highlight of their day. They are friendly, enthusiastic, and effective with their preparation of your sandwich. The chocolate chip oatmeal cooked are like crack cocaine to me, I come for the cookies but order a sandwich so I don't look like a complete obese pig. Awesome sandwiches and salads. My go-to place for lunch in between classes. It does get pretty crowded and loud, so go early to avoid the rush. My friend I usually go with always gets the Wreck and I prefer the Farmhouse salad with their fat free vinaigrette. It is quite amazing salad dressing. They use Henrickson's salad dressing, needless to say I have my house stocked with it now. The sweetness of the dressing contrasts the blue cheese, cheddar cheese, chicken and bacon. yum! read more

I walked into Potbelly's at 7:30 pm on a Wednesday. No one was in the restaurant. When I got there, I was told the milkshake machines weren't working and they were out of chicken. How does Potbelly's run out of those two essential items when there's no business? Very disappointing visit. :( read more

A step above Subway, but nothing to write home about. The meats are a little better than others, but the same packaged stuff you get anywhere else. Bread isn't really that great. Peppers were a nice touch, but again, nothing that I really need to have. Sodas and chips are a more of a gourmet brand, and they have regular brands as well. read more
