This Potbelly is located on one end of a strip mall and shares frontage with Anytime Fitness and a few other local spots. Staying nearby for a work trip, when I was looking for a quick and tasty lunch, Potbelly popped up and off I went. I usually go classic with The Wreck, but this trip I went with Pizza Melt and added hot peppers. The sandwich was solid and tasty! This location is your standard Potbelly location, vibes and all. It's well kept and clean. Plenty of seating inside and out, and parking is plentiful given their location. Service was friendly and helpful. Placed a company order and was missing items. Called them up to advise and they said they would bring us the missing items. Delivery lady shows up and accuses us of either misplacing them or someone that didnt order took them even though we are a small office and everyone ordered. Then continues to argue with me nonstop. I even called the location and their manager gets frustrated with me!!! really!!! Then has to audacity to say "What do you want me to do. I can give you coupons" . I know mistakes happen but to say you are frustrated with me and to think I am trying to get free food out of this..ridiculous. I never get upset with restaurants or places serving food as I know its a difficult industry and things happen, but do better and treat your customers right! read more

It's been a long time since I went to Potbelly but I had a coupon for a free entree. Located close to Kitakata Ramen, Kai Sushi, and Anything Fitness. Parking lot is ample. I was immediately greeted by the staff. I ordered a pizza melt and added on mac and cheese. This was a takeout but the restaurant itself was clean. The mac and cheese was eh, I made better mac and cheese from those Kraft boxes. The sandwich was decent but tasty but decent. I had better tasting sandwiches at Subway. While waiting in line, a customer came in for a pickup order and literally moved me away from the register to complain to the cashier. I set my food down, and the customer said, "Excuse me, we are talking." Wait, what? I was already in line, and you jumped the line? The cashier was extremely chill. Kudos to him. I'm a first timer at Pot Belly. Ordered their BLTA (a BLT with avocado). I do not recall seeing anything about dill pickles & giardenera on this sandwich. But it came loaded with soggy dill pickle slices-- that overpowered the taste of the sandwich---even after removing them! WHO in their right mind puts dill pickles on a BLT??? Bravo for the staff! I came in on a day when lines were literally out the door. Plus, that little machine that churns out online orders was spitting things out at a laughable pace. I come here often. However, I couldn't get over how rude customers can be. The staff was clearly overwhelmed but they were working hard to take care of the customers. It's one thing to handle each customer that walks in but the machine spitting out the online orders, Gribhub and Uber Eats orders was like a cartoon ticker tape machine. They couldn't have kept up with it if they had 20 employees. Wonder if there's a way to turn it off? I was impressed at how nice the staff was. Customers are so demanding and mean. Time to give these employees a raise. The way customers treat them, they will be gone if you don't take care of them. The online orders are what screw everything up. My car club visited yesterday evening as we do monthly with the local Chicagoland QSR's. This Potbelly's was busy. There were only two young people working and doing a fabulous job!!! These two were hustling and smiling even with all of the stress. Please give them accolades and raises or bonuses. In Chicago for work and we stopped in for lunch. I got the skinny veggie melt and my manager got the wreck with broccoli cheddar soup. My sandwich was missingvthe avocado which is a main component of the sandwich. I added tomato, onion and hot peppers to my sandwich. I have to say that without the hot peppers, the sandwich would have been bland. My manager felt the same way about his sandwich but did enjoy the soup. The store closed while we were inside eating. Apparently this was not the norm as a few people arrived wanting to eat but were turned away. When we left, we saw that the stores hours have been modified due to short staffing and so they close at 2pm every day. Also noted that some pick up orders were still waiting to be picked up when they closed and I'm assuming that food got thrown out which is a waste. I may visit again and try another sandwich if there's a Potbelly store near to where I live. read more

Our second experience was less than stellar! They forgot a drink, shake was not at all thick and the roast beef sandwich was ordered with double cheese and I could barely see any. I called the restaurant and asked if they double check the orders before they are delivered and they responded "we are only human." Certainly not what a customer wants to hear. Very unprofessional. We ordered delivery from their app and they kept saying they will remake if we come back. We ordered delivery as we didn't currently have a way to get there. Looks like we will be removing them in our rotation, as we order in at least once a week. read more

For some odd reason, our school is obsessed with Potbelly when it's come to fundraising. Whenever someone said, "we are having a fundraising, come support us," 90% of the time, it's potbelly. Do not get me wrong, the quality of the sandwiches is decent, but Subway or even Which Wich is still better. Maybe it's just me, but I cannot get full from just one sandwich. As a result, I always ended up ordering a side to go along with my puny sandwich, which most of the time is the broccoli soup. Potbelly is pretty much a Subway, where they assemble your sandwiches on the spot (built your own sandwich). Gotta give it to them tho, their selection of sauces it actually better than most other sandwich places. Asides from the basic sauces, mayo, mustard. Very rude girl who made my sandwiches. I ordered two turkey club sandwiches with (no bacon), of course I picked them up and bacon in them. No problem at all, it happens everywhere. Called them, and the girl picked up and asked me to "wait a sec", waited 15 minutes and I am outside for a curb pick up. Put on my mask and went inside, and asked her to not just take the bacon out of the sandwiches, and to make me new ones. "You don't have to tell me how I do my job" she said. "I am not telling you that, I am just asking you to not do that if you are thinking about" I replied. "Well, you don't have to be disrespectful, so please leave the store or I am calling the cops"........ At this point I was like (WHAT?) I said "well you know what give me my money back", she said "I am not giving you anything, because I know how to do my job". I was like "well apparently you don't since you gave me a wrong order" I waited, thinking she was making my sandwiches, (thanks God she did not), and the manager walked in. She jumped right to him, and started to talk to him and told him that I was rude. The guy told "sir what do you want now", I said "I just need my two sandwiches made correctly " He was "okay I will make them for you, just have a seat please". Which I did, and shortly he made my sandwiches and gave them to me. (end of story). This is the closest Potbelly to my home, always been a go to lunch spot. I got a free little sample of Red Hot thanks to their promo on the new buffalo chicken sandwich.. it was good!! When I arrived at 12:25 I was told it would be 30 minutes more for the one sandwich I ordered online. I don't know what the deal is with this Potbelly's but it's the worst one I've ever been to. My work is nearby this location so occasionally I'll stop in, once or twice a year. Every time I go there's an issue... I just don't understand it! It's always understaffed. How can you have 3 people working here on a weekday for lunch? It shouldn't take me 15 minutes to get a sandwich. As you go through the order process there's always at least one employee copping an attitude. Usually at checkout. Just a warning out there. Ok, the sandwich was pretty good and did only account for $4 of my 7.06 total. Service was pretty quick and their pickles looked great. The chocolate frozen yogurt was tasty, but nothing special. I don't know if the shape of the cup is deceptive, but it seems like the drink sizes are pretty small which fits on par with the sandwich size. It was nice that a dude was playing guitar up on the loft, but wasn't all that special. Maybe my experience was tainted by how hard it was to find the entrance, but overall I wasn't so impressed. Well, let me start this off by saying I totally LOVED my Chickpea Veggie Salad that I had here for lunch. I was raving about it during lunch and how I would order it over and over again. Too bad it didn't stay in my tummy for too long. I'm pretty sick right now as my body continues to try to get whatever was in the salad that didn't agree with me out of my system. And it sucks. Vomiting yesterday after eating it and today woke up with the tail end of a migraine (with aura/numbness) plus continued vomiting. Overall, not a good first impression Potbelly. I ordered on the app because I wanted to just run in and get my order. When I got there they hadn't even taken my receipt out of the printer. So I had to sit and wait for them to make my order which totally defeats the purpose of using the app. I got a TKY and broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was not soup at all, more like a gelatinous sludge. It had a solid consistency and tasted more like broccoli purée than cheddar soup. On the app I added mayo to my sandwich which it says on the printed receipt but they didn't put the mayo on my sandwich so it was really dry. I always order directly through Potbelly's because I am a perks member. So I placed an online directly through Potbelly's from this location (Lombard) at 11:41am on 10/12. I was informed that my order would arrive at 12:14pm. I received a text at 11:51am & 11:53am from Door Dash stating that Mason M. had picked up and was approaching. Odd, I did not order through Door Dash, but thought maybe they use them for their deliveries. I waited and waited, still no delivery. At 12:31pm I contacted Potbelly's to ask what was happening with my order. I spoke to a woman who said she was the manager and she could not tell me what happened to my order. She insisted that I had used Door Dash to order and I informed her I used the Potbelly's website. I was placed on hold several times, finally she came back and offered me coupons for free food. That's nice and all, but what happened to my order? Why was Door Dash contacting me? She could not answer any of this and became rude when I asked her if she could find it. I asked for a refund and was told it would take 1-3 days to appear back on my card. I told her I would not be ordering from this location if they don't even know what is happening to their orders. She hung up on me abruptly.....I did not receive any coupons for free food. I have never had issues with a Potbelly's before, but honestly, it is a bit concerning that orders are disappearing and you can't own up to it. read more

So I know I'll be back. Everytime I go to a Potbelly's, I feel like their lines could be more efficient. There is just something about the way that it's set up that just doesn't seem to flow. Overall this one is pretty nice. There is ample seating and it's pretty clean. I feel like they try to hide the fountain machine hoping you'll get a soda from the fridge but doesn't matter anymore cause my next drink is gonna be one of the secret drinks. While I was there during lunch, a girl was doing her thing on piano and guitar. I'll be honest, she was so good I thought it was some indie cover on the radio. I pulled out my phone and tried to shazam who it was. Then I realized it was someone singing live, so that was cool. read more
