Great sandwiches and consistent service make this an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. I'm pretty sure Potbelly knows my habits by now because they always send me coupons or emails right around lunchtime! Overall, I like this location. The workers are generally pleasant and my orders are usually right. Four stars because there has been times they completely messed it up in the drive-thru or through the app (sandwiches with no toppings), but other times I've left feeling really satisfied. General Manger DYLAN FARLEY was rude, inconsiderate and condescending to CHILDREN ORDERING. He refused to make/ accommodate sandwich request. We order this sandwich all the time however when we asked for the Wreck without pork he said he would give us less meat if it was just roast beef and turkey. We asked for extra meat and he said there was no way to ring it up on the register. My sister on her graduation day still in her cap and gown left the store crying because of the treatment she received. When my mother and I went to the store he said he didn't make the sandwich because she didn't ask for "double " meat. WE ARE HIGHLY DISSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION. Normally, I love coming here tonight however, the female that was working was talking crap about me. She asked me to pull forward. I pulled forward after I canceled one order with the app and when I walked out of the bathroom, I heard her say the girl in the bathroom after the order had already been dropped off to my friend that was in my car. and she was laughing when she said the girl the bathroom so I don't know what she was talking about. Bought a chicken salad and a gyro sandwich. Bleah!!Blah!!! Gyro sandwich was a perfect example of how to NOT to make a gyro!! A thin slice of meat on Flatbread with thin slices of onion, limp tomato, and watered down sour cream. Ugh awful!! Chicken salad was chic chunks in same watered down salad dressing. As I visit different restaurants in a chain, I discover that each of them has their own unique characteristics. This Potbelly Restaurant is no different. As I ate lunch at this Potbelly's, I was struck with the homage they pay to US 30 AKA the Lincoln Highway. One of the pictures I added is a table with the Lincoln Highway on the top of the table. The restaurant is light and airy with plenty of windows in front. As one enters, you see the potbelly stove. The walls are filled with memorabilia. I appreciated the high tables. The wreck salad is as good as ever. If you are in the neighborhood looking for something healthy and an attractive atmosphere, check them out. read more

Not a good potbelly. I don't usually write reviews but I think it's important that they fix some issues. It seems that customer service is dead nowadays but everyone expect a tip. With the exception of the cashier who was very pleasant and friendly, no one else even made eye contact. Not just that but they seemed highly inconvenienced by our presence. This is unacceptable and whoever manages that place should put more emphasis on their customer service and the experience they provide their customers. Love this place but the customer service is much to be desired. We go to this location a few times a month. It has been a staple during COVID. Today, we were unable to order online, so we go thru the drive thru and order five food items, pay, pick up, go home. We get home and one of the five items is not in our bag! Potbelly was called and we were told the item had to be picked up. Hubby was not happy. Goes all the way back, gets the item and given the excuse that they were just too busy. Really?! I never leave Yelp reviews, but I am very frustrated with this location. Only reason I'm even giving 2 stars is because I like Potbelly as a chain. Every other time I order from the drive-thru, my order is incorrect. Specifically, it will be covered in mayo even though I didn't order that. Small mess ups are fine and expected, like forgetting tomatoes, but as someone who doesn't want mayo, it ruins the sandwich. Today it happened for the 3rd time. Had to essentially dissect the sandwich and salvage what I could of it. Stay away from the drive-thru if you go here. read more

Me and my family love Potbelly's. The reason for only 3 stars is every time I have visited the Plainfield location they make my sandwich wrong. They always seem to get my toppings wrong and I never notice until I get home to eat. Tonight I ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and oregano. I got home and there was none of the toppings I asked for. Instead I got mayo. And a small hair?!?! Ugh. On two other occasions they got my toppings wrong as well (minus the hair). Nice sandwich joint that has more then just sandwiches. Very clean and lots of parking. I dined in and was very pleased. Lots of seating, good music and very quite. Nice place for lunch. I tried the meatball sandwich with chips. Very fresh and taste great. Not bad for alttle over $9.00. This also included drink. About average for Plainfield. Next time I'll try there soups. Ordered ahead online for a curbside order. It said my order would be ready about 12:31pm. When I got to the store I parked clicked I'm here and it said someone would bring my order out shortly. On the app it still said order in progress. I waited for 30 minutes I had to walk inside to see if my order was ready, I thought maybe they were short staffed but nope there was so many employees inside I told the lady at the register that I have been waiting for my curbside order 30 minutes now and she says sorry and hands me my food. Our sandwiches were cold now, the vanilla milkshake I had gotten was completely melted and did not taste good went to the garbage a waste of money, the chili was liquid hardly any meat and beans inside and no spoon or crackers. The BLTA sandwich was very cold, the bacon was soggy. And the sandwich I had order I asked for hot peppers on the side and they did not put any in the bag. They ignored the special instructions which are very big on the sticker located on the individual sandwich bags. Very dissatisfied. read more

Worst customer service and rude manager. I generally support local business. We ordered and picked up 4 veggie Sandwiches, Soups and Chips to go home. After reaching home, we opened the Sandwiches, found meat pieces all over, as well in the roll-on paper. We are strict vegetarians and was surprised to see meat pieces on sandwiches. We decided to throw it away as we can't eat anything with meat. I called this place to complain and explained that we got meat along with veggie sandwiches, i was greeted by a women who said ok, as if nothing has happened. She said as long meat is not in the sandwiches it is ok. Then i explained to her again that we are pure vegetarians, and at that time she said that i can come over for her to make another set of sandwiches and that is the only option she can offer. There was no apology offered and she came across as if she doesn't care about dietery restrictions. It was very rude and culturally insensitive. Potbelly need to train the people better. I went through the drive through to pick up dinner for my family. It was going to be a big order since I have 4 kids. From the very start the employee working the drive though was extremely short and acted annoyed by each item I ordered. She was so rude that I didn't even order the rest of my food. It's just frustrating because I paid $50. Once I got home, I called to speak to a manager , he said that he had just gotten there and therefore didn't know who I was referring to. Very friendly staff inside and at the drive-thru. My kids and I have never had a bad sandwich there! My kids love the cookies and cream milk shakes and the cookies. Very tasty sandwiches, both cold and hot. Delicious potato salad, reminds me of old time deli potato salad. Their food is good but 3 out of 4 times I go to Potbelly they mess up my order, specifically when I pay extra for a topping I wanted. Things like bacon and avocado cost extra money and most the time they forget one or the other. Quality of sandwiches are what you would expect from other Potbellys in the area. Unfortunately, when you go through the drive through, they tend to get the orders wrong. Been here 3 times and each time they mix up the orders or forget something. Each time there has been something omitted or added to my sandwich. On my last drive through, I called them back to let them know that they forgot the salad dressing for my salad. Not a big deal really but the reply was "ok, thanks!" No apology what so ever. They need to work on order accuracy and customer service. read more
