My husband and I have slept on Potbelly for years. It was recommended by my mom, I decided to try it. I had the chicken salad sandwich. I must admit my first few bites felt orgasmic! The next day, after bragging to my husband, I had the Chicken salad again, and he ordered the Lucky 7.... Both were EXCEPTIONAL. It was sooooo good, that we ordered AGAIN the following day. The parchment was loosely wrapped; the sandwich awaited my hungry, eager presence. I peeled back the excessively wrapped parchment paper; anticipating the first bite. I notice a few things off from what I typically expect with a Wreck; I peak between the hardly toasted roll 1st Red Flag, I don't see either the Roast Beef, or Salami; 2 more Red Flags. I then realize the only meat that was found between the two pieces of bread was that of Turkey. Albeit, I enjoy a nice turkey sandwich, I didn't order a simple Turkey Sandwich! I thought I'd ordered a Wreck, I expected a Wreck, but what to my widely opened, hungry eyes did I see!?! That of just plain Turkey, and everything else I'd asked for. Had potbelly for lunch today! When I used to live in Denton I wanted to try this place but then it closed before I could. Now that I moved I figured I'd give it a try finally. I got the Italian on white and added mustard with broccoli cheddar soup and also sat and vinegar chips. I really liked my sandwich. I ended up adding my own spicy pickles from my house but I thought it was good and a good size for lunch. I got the regular but there was a small and a large. My fiancé said they didn't like the broccoli and cheddar soup and they got the roast beef on white that they said was just ok. It looked decent to me and I personally thought the soup was good. The soup came with a pack of oyster crackers so I really like those with my soup. I would definitely go back. I was very impressed with this location. Despite being very busy, each staff member greeted me politely, repeated the order back to me, looked me in the eyes and smiled. They prepared my meal very quickly and asked if there was anything else they could get for me. The grilled chicken was hot, the bread was fresh and the sandwich was delicious. The cashier was great, the tables and floors were clean and the manager checked on me to see if I liked the food and if I needed anything else. Worst service! We went through the drive thru and the woman working was incredibly rude. We ordered the Turkey and Swiss sandwich and asked for no tomatoes. She yelled at us to just tell her what we wanted on the sandwich. We told her that we wanted what it came with (lettuce mayo and tomatoes) the only exception being the tomatoes. We ordered another sandwich (meatball sub) and decided to not make any customizations in fear of her yelling at us again. We wanted to order drinks and chips, but we were unable to because as soon as we told her the second sandwich she gave us the total. At the window, she did not greet us or give us the receipt. She gave my card back and then walked away. A different employee gave us the food. We went to the gas station for the drinks and chips. OUT OF SPITE, they put EVERY add-on on top of the turkey sandwich besides the tomatoes, not just the lettuce and mayo that it would normally come with. We basically threw the whole sandwich away. The meatball sub cheese was just one half of the sandwich and it was the size of a quarter. We have always enjoyed potbelly and the usual orders, but we will never go to this location again.
