Standard Potbellys location that's conveniently off of Diehl Road. The restaurant is kept fairly nice and the service is quick and friendly. Parking isn't too difficult as this spot isn't as busy after the morning rush of people getting breakfast and coffee nearby. The decor is fairly standard for a Potbellys and the restroom is fairly clean.

My husband and I went to Potbelly Sandwich Shop after going to an Asian restaurant that didn't serve dessert. I came here specifically looking for an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. There was no line so I got my dessert and enjoyed it in the restaurant. I left satisfied. I highly recommend Potbelly Sandwich Shop.

My wife & I love our Potbelly on Diehl road. Her Italian skinny oven grinder was delicious & her mac & cheese was creamy good. I had the Mediterranean oven grinder with square chunks of chicken, artichoke hearts, chopped roasted red peppers & cucumber, mild but spicy hummus & small chunks of feta cheese. I added sliced pickles to give it a bit of sour taste & it was very good. The bonus is if you go out to eat after 8PM the sunset from Lund lake can be gorgeous. Staff very friendly & helpful. We will definitely come back!

I've probably driven by 100 "Potbelly" sandwich shops over the years and never eaten at one before. There is one across the hotel I'm staying at and it is too freaking COLD here to travel far so I stopped by. I would compare the place to a Quiznos only better. Got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Oreo milkshake was REALLY good and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was pretty good too. If you want a quick sandwich this is a legit inexpensive option!

Potbelly is a chain almost in every suburb or every corner of Chicago. It's one place my hubby was missing since we moved to Florida. We had to go since that was all he wanted while all I wanted was Lou Malnati's. We are not ones that love picking up sandwiches from places. Ideally we can make it at home, and that's why we never order them. Potbelly is an exception. The toasted bread and all of the fixings make this sandwich the best. There are not as many sandwich options as I remembered and that's why I gave it 4 stars, but this is definitely a good sandwich, and we wish we had locations in Florida.

The food was excellent and we will definitely try it again going back to Chicago. We even bought a jar of their hot peppers.

I'm not sure how they manage to mess up my order EVERY SINGLE TIME I place an order for delivery. It never fails. Truly frustrating.

The matcha flavor was excellent rich, smooth, and consistent from start to finish. It's the kind of drink you can enjoy at your own pace without the flavor fading The staff was very friendly and attentive. One of the employees appeared to be in training, but the service was still great overall. In addition to their drinks, they also offer a selection of food items on the menu, which is a nice option if you're looking for a snack or light bite. Ten minutes later, as I'm driving past the drive thru windows to park and go in, I notice both windows were covered entirely on the inside with paper. When I greeted the barista inside and inquired about the drive thru, I was assured the drive thru was open. No explanation was offered as to why there was no response to my presence in the drive thru lane. SERVICE (inside): I ordered a Bloom & Buzz (hot) latte. There was a four top of guests already seated and waiting for their order when I paid for mine. 20 minutes later, with the four top now served, the barista picked up a plastic cup and proceeded to make an iced coffee drink. Upon completing the process, she took the cup and walked out of my direct line of sight, standing behind a pole with only her hair visible to me. After standing there for a minute or so, she returned to the counter and started to address me. I approached the counter to better hear what she was saying. She explained that she was unable to make my hot latte because the hot coffee machine was down. When I pointed out that she had just served three of the four customers ahead of me a hot coffee, she said, "yeah, but those took hot water.". She went on to ask if it was okay if she made me an iced latte instead. Having already waited more than 20 minutes inside at this point, I said that was fine. She then reached to her side (where she'd previously hid), grabbed the iced coffee I'd watched her make before the claims of the broken machine and handed it to me. Instead of owning the fact that she'd mistakenly made an iced latte instead of the hot one I'd ordered, she'd chosen to cover what was an innocent mistake with a lie. I told her as much and left. AMBIANCE: This is a darling little cafe. If the service hadn't been so atr, I'd have enjoyed drinking my coffee there. COFFEE: Way too sweet for my liking. If I were to go back, which I won't, I'd order my next one half-sweet.

We have been here before a few years ago and the food was pretty good so we were not expecting this experience. We ordered two paninis, two coffees and my husband got an order of pancakes in addition. We ordered it to eat there. They gave us a table number and we sat down. We proceeded to watch three people very confused about how to make a coffee for at least 10-15 min. They are reading handbooks and walking around confused. I then watch them trying to figure out how to make my cold brew in a giant pitcher with tap water from a sink in the back. I watch them measuring out cloudy tap water and reading instructions on how to make it. Meanwhile they are also confused on how to make my husbands caramel macchiato. At one point one of them is smelling the coffee cup. This was all a little concerning but ok whatever. Then we get our food. It was not great but again, whatever. My cold brew was warm and murky and had just a few ice cubes floating in it. My husband was afraid to even try his coffee as when he received it I found this thick black hair in the other half of my panini. My husband mentions this to the woman who brought his coffee and she was nice and took it away and asked if we wanted something else. We were very grossed out and asked can they just refund the pancakes because they still weren't ready and we were just ready to leave. She was nice and said ok but then nobody had any idea how to give a refund. She had to call someone to refund us. We then left and I'm reading the receipt and she didn't refund us she had refunded someone else who had the same table number. I had to call back and tell her she didn't refund the right person or entree. She asked if we could come back but I really didn't want to waste any more time in there. She was very nice and apologetic and called me back and had refunded our entire order even though we just asked for the pancakes to be refunded as they hadn't come out. We will not come back though. This was pretty gross. It takes a lot for me to say something to the staff and not just suffer in silence. This was pretty bad. They really need to train their staff. Making coffee that's on their regular menu should be pretty second nature. Not having hair in the food is also a reasonable expectation. Gross.
