I've been to this location several times and all my experiences so far have been 5 stars. The restaurant is kept clean and well organized. There is plenty of free/easy parking since it's located within a strip mall. I've only ordered via their app and each time has provided a smooth experience. My orders were completed at the time estimated and all items have been correct. Pot belly is my favorite place for getting hot sandwiches. I typically get the wreck or Italian, however, being pregnant I'm on the cautious side and have gotten all veggie sandwiches instead. It's actually really good! The quality of their ingredients is great that I'm still enjoying their sandwiches without meat. read more

Standard Potbellys location that's conveniently off of Diehl Road. The restaurant is kept fairly nice and the service is quick and friendly. Parking isn't too difficult as this spot isn't as busy after the morning rush of people getting breakfast and coffee nearby. Everyone has such a bad attitude here. You can tell that none of the employees get along with their own coworkers, I saw one guy roll his eyes at his coworker. My wife & I love our Potbelly on Diehl road. Her Italian skinny oven grinder was delicious & her mac & cheese was creamy good. I had the Mediterranean oven grinder with square chunks of chicken, artichoke hearts, chopped roasted red peppers & cucumber, mild but spicy hummus & small chunks of feta cheese. I added sliced pickles to give it a bit of sour taste & it was very good. The bonus is if you go out to eat after 8PM the sunset from Lund lake can be gorgeous. Staff very friendly & helpful. If negative stars was an option, this would be the location to get it. Not to mention the health department would have a fun time visiting this establishment. I am a food service manager and I don't know how this place is still open. I've been here twice, the first time there were two co workers working and I could tell they were talking about me, laughing and saying things they thought I wouldn't understand. I've probably driven by 100 "Potbelly" sandwich shops over the years and never eaten at one before. There is one across the hotel I'm staying at and it is too freaking COLD here to travel far so I stopped by. I would compare the place to a Quiznos only better. Got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Oreo milkshake was REALLY good and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was pretty good too. If you want a quick sandwich this is a legit inexpensive option! read more

Potbelly is a chain almost in every suburb or every corner of Chicago. It's one place my hubby was missing since we moved to Florida. We had to go since that was all he wanted while all I wanted was Lou Malnati's. We are not ones that love picking up sandwiches from places. Ideally we can make it at home, and that's why we never order them. Potbelly is an exception. The toasted bread and all of the fixings make this sandwich the best. There are not as many sandwich options as I remembered and that's why I gave it 4 stars, but this is definitely a good sandwich, and we wish we had locations in Florida. read more

Ordered two sanwhichs and a sugar cookie. Sanwhichs were turkey. They were average. Bread was chewy. I don't think it was baked properly. Had a sugar cookie that came with a bonus. A rather large piece of dark hair. Do you even do quality control of your products. read more

I ordered yesterday and it was perfect. Curbside delivery worked well. Today was different, horrible experience... I ordered and online it said it'll be ready at 11:45am. I showed up and called at 11:54am saying I'm outside for curbside pickup, the guy said they'll be right out. 10 minutes later I call back and it takes about 25 rings for them to answer. I say I'm still waiting, he says "Ok Ok Someone will be right out bud." What?! When someone came out to drop off the food (different guy from phone) I said "that guy in there answering the phone is rude" and he just shrugs and says "sorry, have a great day." Great food, horrible service. I understand it's teenagers and college kids working here (at least it seems like it) but no reason to be rude. Unfortunately the bad service creates stronger emotions than the good service. It doesn't take a lot to be nice and polite. read more

So the reason for the 1 star is solely based on my experience with the staff and not the food which is good. Three gloriously happy employees (insert eye roll) were there as we ordered our food. The first person we interacted with just looked at us and didn't say hello or even acknowledge the fact that we were giving her our order. The second person we interacted with seemed pretty annoyed that I told him I didn't want tomato on my sandwich when he asked....not entirely sure why. And the last person and maybe the happiest (again super eye roll) threw the crackers and spoons on the counter, was mad that he didn't get our soups correct and when we asked for bags for our order, it may have thrown him over the edge as he turned around and went to the next person. Horrible. This location needs a staff training on how to serve customers. Yelling and escalating to heated level is very unprofessional. I'll drive to other locations just to avoid this one. Had a sandwich here today for lunch - predictable Potbelly quality, I certainly wasn't expecting anything more. I had just finished the sandwich and was finishing my beverage while looking out the window, when a person cleaning tables came up and said "Can I help you?" I told him I was just finishing my beverage. He then pointed at my sandwich bag and said, "Do you want me to take that for you?" I said sure, finished my drink and left. The message I got from this intended or not was: You finished your sandwich, you need to move along and not linger. What Potbelly needs to understand is: this doesn't make me inclined to eat there again, I understand the need to get people to move on when they're done but I had only been eating for maybe 10 minutes as it was, and the place was hardly crowded at the time. Before you order online I would suggest that you call and ask them if they are fully staffed and is their staff capable of following directions listed on the order ticket. Order picked up we had to wait 35 minutes after online set order time because one of the workers had to tell herself to "concentrate". The sandwich ordered was completely wrong.....how do you mix up a turkey with mayo to a ham (well we think that it was ham-there was only a couple of slices of meat) with pickle and mustard. The other sandwich was the Mediterranean (looked more like slap a bunch of stuff other than what is listed on the menu). Just like how do you make a strawberry shake when it was a cold brew shake that was on the order. I always get great service at this Potbelly - the employees are always friendly and patient with my special requests for subbing ingredients on the salads (bummer there's no more garbanzo beans available for the salads, though). Great vegetarian options! I have either the regular vegetarian sandwich (mushroom and cheese), or the pizza sandwich (mushroom, cheese, tomato sauce). They toast your sandwich, then they have a station where they add your choice of toppings. They have great hot peppers which really spice up the veggie sandwich. The vegetarian soup (tomato base) is a winner as well. This would be a five-star review if the soup was more reasonably priced and/or they would not have dropped the original veggie salad off of the menu. That amazing salad had artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, and chickpeas as the star ingredients. They also had an Asian Sesame dressing that went well on top...but that is gone from the menu too :( read more

When I want a lighter lunch, but I'm not obsessing over calories, I head to Potbelly's. Their regular sandwiches seem slightly smaller than those at Jersey Mike's and other sub shops. And the price is right. For $4.50, I can get a regular size sandwich that is filling, not greasy, and extra toppings at no added charge. The "big" claims to be 30% more and is only $1 more. But even when I'm a hungry monster, I don't upsize here. My usual MO at Potbelly's is to grab a roast beef and provolone on wheat, a Pellegrino, and scram. But today I wanted a little kick, so I got the roast beef with mustard, hot peppers and tomato. My sandwich choices aren't so plain Jane anymore! I really like that they use brown mustard instead of yellow. The hot peppers are indeed, hot. The bread is a little crusty on the outside, but it isn't hard or offputting. I really like Potbelly's sandwiches. The service is good. Friendly (or at least appearing content) employees and accurate ordering are all I ask for in a quick stop like this one. I've always encountered a line here, and it gets worse at noon. The parking lot can get congested during the lunch hour, but it was easier to get in and out of here around 11:30 than 12:30, so go early or go elsewhere. read more

So for the restaurant alone, I'll give it 4 stars. I like the feel of potbellys, old school tavern looks. It's the same as any other potbellys though, nothing to separate it from the rest. Only real complaint is the seating, er lack there of. Went here during lunch one day, and granted it was lunch so it was really busy, but still it was packed. Not really their fault, just saying though. And I usually like subway more but thats just a personal preference. read more

For a fast foodish place, it isn't that bad. The vegetarian soup is good. The prices however seem to be a little on the high end. I guess people are become desensitized to this though. The sandwiches seem to be small for how much they charge and toasting them to me does not add much value. I love Potbelly's. Apparently I am outside of both potbelly's delivery zone. Which I think is cruel. Someone should deliver to me. Anyways I learned this back in July when I first moved to Naperville and was used to the Hyde Park restaurant delivery. Well I called, they told me that they don't deliver, and referred to me to another Potbelly's. So I called the other and they said the same thing. Tension was mounting, so I called this Potbelly's back and said they said they don't deliver. (Since I was not very familiar were I was at and not very sure where they were at this was a problem.) The store is a brilliant replica of the original, still on Lincoln Ave in Chicago. The subs are cooked in a conventional oven, the workers truly deserve to be dubbed "artists" despite their modesty, and the live music could be a lot worse.
