The Potomac River was recommended by some friends and we finally got a chance to stop in for lunch on a Sunday. In the door the place is clean and very cozy with a old school dinner feel. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu have all the favorites and some goodies you don't see often. I had the cheeseburger with a side of baked beans. My burger was huge, tasty and cooked perfect and the bean were very tasty. I highly suggest stopping in if in the area.

Driving home from Bethesda decided to pull off into this amazing little place. The people were incredibly friendly but bring your appetite. The food is delicious and well priced and the portions are huge. I would stop here 10@ times out of 100 easily.

We came back with the granddaughter and had a positive experience with her! The server was kind and patient with us throughout the meal and food was great and exactly what was expected. Home town feeling! Thanks.

Here is the menu. Everything is farm to table.

We found a hidden gem in Hancock, Maryland while traveling. Farm to table- the food was very good. Busy place and loud inside but everything was very good. Easy access off the interstate and service was fast. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

The best alfredo i've had at a restaurant in a long time! The food was fresh, hot, and quick. My server, Kathryn L, was super kind and great at her job. The ambiance was very laid back and had some cute handmade crafts for sale, too. Unfortunately the bathroom could use a paint job, you can see where cleaners have been sprayed and worn paint off over time. The bar looked very clean and all staff was kind. Definitely recommend.

Great mom and pops place !!! Their specialty is beef, all farm raised and local. Home cut fries, delicious burgers. Friendly staff. ( I think it's a bar also ) nice stop while on the road traveling. Filled with locals and history

This was taken in the sunroom!

The ambiance was good! The food was pretty good and the locals seem to love it. My party of five were sat in the sunroom that was a bit dirty and dusty. But the inside seemed clean.

    Ribeye, fresh-cut fries, green beans.

We started our meals with the cream of crab soup as an appetizer. The soup was excellent. It was filled crab meat and not too salty For our main course we had the stuffed flounder with crabmeat. The fish and crab were fresh and tender. This dish was also excellent. Our server Kenzie was pleasant, sweet and attentive. She explained many of the menu options and answered our questions patiently and thoroughly. Parking and seating for dinner can be difficult to find on Fridays and Saturdays because of the all you can eat crab legs offered on those nights. I highly recommend making dinner reservations for most nights. There is a bar offering wines, mixed drinks and beer. The outside of the restaurant is deceiving. There is seating for approximately two hundred diners. The back of the restaurant is set up like a cafeteria with approximately twenty four tables that can seat four people each. There are two smaller dining areas that can seat about fifty people each. The food I give five stars but the atmosphere I give four stars. The acoustics were not the best. At times it was difficult to hear my conversation with my wife. With that said, I stillI highly recommend this restaurant.

If you follow my reviews, you know I'm a fan of old-school diners, the classics, and honest home-cooked food. Summit hits all three marks, serving straightforward and delicious American standards since the 1960s. The three-egg omelet loaded with veggies and sausage was exactly the pre-ski power-up I needed. My son stuck with his go-to breakfast burrito, and my daughter went with the classic two eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was spot on. The staff has just the right level of "WWA"--Waitresses With Attitude. They are perfectly polite, but they hold the line on proper behavior and will quickly put anyone in their place if they step out of line. It keeps the environment grounded and authentic. A few tips for your visit: * Seating: Expect to wait for a table in the lobby or outside during peak hours. * Payment: Bring your wallet--this is a cash-only establishment.

Despite it being in Pennsylvania, it throws off a distinct hillbilly atmosphere. The usual signs about Jesus, Christmas and, of course, patriotism were in abundance. My party ordered a variety of dishes and I opted for the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Sorry to say, the food was just adequate. The beef was overdone and the gravy had the sheen of the bottled gravies at the grocery store. The mashed potatoes were the star of the show, however, as they were very good. The hamburger and pancakes ordered by others get similar reviews. It was a hamburger and tasted like one. The pancakes, being hard to screw up, were just pancakes. This is a cash-only place, so come prepared to be vilified for wanting to pay with plastic. The prices were lower than the norm but that did little to make me feel better upon leaving. Despite the dearth of customers when we were there, the service was also lacking. I had to seek out help to get a refill on my iced tea and we waited a while to pay...with cash. I can't really give this place any additional stars. Stop here if you absolutely can't wait to eat.
