I ate there several months ago with my friends and ordered the turkey cranberry sandwich with soup. The soup wasn't hot, but it did taste good. The sandwich was cold. The bread was average, the turkey was several slices of lunch meat, I could barely find any cream cheese and the cold cranberry sauce was most likely from a can - and too much of it. When I told my server that it was missing 4 of the ingredients described on the menu I was told that the manager said there was nothing they could do. I've visited this cafe a few times, the food and environment are great (if not a bit overpriced) but not the service. The waitress became rude and pressed us when she noticed we would be sharing the food. She also did not treat us the way we saw her talking to other tables which felt racially motivated especially as she singled out one of us. She ignored us several times when we tried to get her attention as well, didn't refill our waters, and seemed to prioritize us last as she helped multiple tables immediately but took a while to get to us. Awesome hidden Gem! Finally made it in and the food was EXCEPTIONAL!!! Everything was good!! I ordered the french dip $17.95 with my side of spinach salad it came with candied cranberries a perfect balsamic type of dressing and feta cheese with walnuts it was delicious. My sister ordered the Asian Salad $15.95 and left NOTHING on her plate, just the memory of what was there. I also ordered a Sauvignon Blanc $10 and she ordered an OJ and dessert was a german chocolate cake with two cappucinos all was amazing! Bonus we had an actual menu and not scanning a QR Code. The best lunch around. While prices have continued to climb, the quality and quantity of food in most places has not kept pace - except at Pottery World Cafe. What a great deal. A sandwich with salad for $20 that is so much food it easily feeds 2. My wife and I split the club sandwich and spinach salad and could barely finish it. And the quality was tremendous. Well if it was not for my cousin telling me about this nice place, I would not have even experienced this venue. Being from the SF Bay area does not bring me out here much, but the family does and now I will return to this gem again. I found the ambiance to be very drawing, with choices to dine inside or out, it is a place that gives you that festive type of vibe. The menu you have many great choices to select from. I opted that late morning to pick the Two Egg Breakfast. It was served with grilled potatoes, those were ok, and had some applewood bacon and opted for no bread, and they gave me a small garnish or grapes and 1 half slice strawberry a bit disappointing. Next time I will order what my cousin did which was the 3 item Omelette which she loved. I would also be open to trying another plate. Great waitress, amazing food... but the man that works at the front is rude and horrible. We brought 12 seniors to eat lunch. He refused to even let us sit until they had poured the water. Further more we came in before our name was called and he was very rude and aggressive. When leaving, one of our seniors was speaking to another table and being friendly, he told her to keep walking! He also tried to tell us how to seat our residents. He obviously can't handle any kind of stress and needs to be fired immediately. We arrived around 10:30 but weren't seated until about 30 minutes later. There appeared to be a lot of tables open, so maybe they were just short staffed. Since we weren't seated for a while, we missed the breakfast cutoff at 11am and had to order off of the lunch menu. The menu is pretty standard cafe fare - soups, salads, sandwiches. I ordered the spinach artichoke quiche, which comes with a side of your choice, so I chose the crab corn chowder. The food took a little while to come out, so we didn't eat until noon. The quiche needed some kind of salt or seasoning, but luckily the crab corn chowder was pretty flavorful. The cafe is hidden within the middle of the store, so it's convenient if there are tables open and you need a bite to eat after shopping around the large store, but unfortunately it just wasn't quite enough for me to want to come back. read more

I haven't been here in ages, but decided to stop by on a whim. The store itself is over the top and fun as always and the cafe was nice and busy. We were only getting some cake to go, so I was expecting a quick turn around. However, despite three servers (all very friendly) being behind the counter it took more time then it should have. It was a little painful. The cake itself was tasty, but it was definitely not nine dollars per slice tasty. I was taken aback when I got rung up. And I know it makes me sound like a snob...but the server absolutely did not know how to cut a cake properly or they didn't care to do so. read more

Had a great Patty Melt, but the other lunch items failed the test. The three of us arrived around 11:30 and had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated outside. It was worth the wait for the outside views etc. We ordered a Patty Melt with lentil soup, a chicken BLAT with salad, and a Salad Sampler that incl. potato salad and a Cesar Salad and Boston Clam Chowder. Also ordered two desserts an ice tea, and an expresso. The patty melt was yummy - caramelized onions with a melted slice of cheese on a rye type bread, the 1/2 lb burger was cooked perfectly, the soup was actually a vege soup with some lentils in it - served warm (sent it back to be reheated). The salad sampler was a complete bore, the cesar was just lettuce some shavings of cheese but to lite on the dressing, the chowder was also lukewarm and had to be reheated. The BLAT sandwich was okay, missing something to take it over the top. Even thou the service was good, we had to constantly ask for this and that throughout our meal. The place has a lot of atmosphere, but the step up in the cost of the meal also reflects the demand. My first time experiencing this wonderful cafe ! I can't believe it was inside of Pottery World, which has amazing shopping from fountains, home decor , etc. Now back to the cafe, we walked inside and were greeted by a lovely hostess, they had indoor and outdoor seating which was very spacious . All the protocols for COVID safety was enforced so that was nice. I started off with a mimosa of course since it was Sunday brunch haha, followed with a Asparagus Frittata, with roasted potatoes, and a fresh English muffin. This was incredibly tasty and the food was served hot, the hostess made sure we had everything we needed and checked back with us in between just to make sure our food was good. All in all I'd say if you are in the area and want to shop and grab a bite this is a great place to stop at , the menu also has lunch with a good variety of food. My review is about the service. In the cafe it was very good, but my review is about Mary, who works in the store. My husband is a diabetic. He was having a reaction that was causing him to shake. He thought he was going to fall. Mary saw that something was wrong and came right over. She went to get a wheelchair. She wheeled him to the cafe entrance. She put our name in for us and said it would be a half hour wait. She brought us water. She checked back with us in half an hour. She said it would be another 10 minutes. She came back and wheeled Bruce to a table. When we were done with lunch, Mary came with another gal who was pushing Bruce's walker. Mary took Bruce to our car and helped him in.
