Delicious chicken, I won't go anywhere else now that I had theirs! The sides are great too, but the service is what really stands out.

Killer rotisserie chicken. Sizable bird, brined juicy, great rub (if a bit too salty with the brine).

We ordered a variety of spice levels, and even the mild had plenty of flavor despite not being very spicy. If the food was this good after delivery, I can only imagine how amazing it is fresh. The chicken was fried perfectly; it crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful inside. The portions are generous, and although I paid almost $30 for dinner with rice, I still had enough left over for another meal. It's definitely pricier than many of the more affordable spots around Chinatown, but they're serving a more niche menu rather than the usual dumplings, noodles, or Chinese BBQ, so I think the price is justified. They also accept cards, which is convenient compared with some other spots in the neighborhood that are cash-only. The main reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the service. There was some miscommunication with the staff, my drinks were brought to another table, and they almost did the same with my food before I signaled that it was mine. The tables also weren't the cleanest and could've used a quick wipe-down between guests. That said, the restaurant is very small, probably only 10-12 seats, so space is definitely limited. Despite the service issues, I really enjoyed the food and would come back. If you're looking for something different from the typical Chinatown offerings, Peking House is definitely worth trying!

The meat, sauce, and pickles were all to my liking. The bread was just ok, it started crumbling at some point, so in the future I'd consider chicken without the bread. I got the mac and cheese and I just thought it was ok - kind of grainy, which surprised me because others on yelp spoke highly of it. Maybe it was just an off night. I ordered the chicken tenders & fries which came with cole slaw and pickle slices. The chicken really was battered & fried to fluffy perfection!! It had a soft & unique texture I don't recall ever tasting before. The sides were also fantastic; fries were crispy hot, cole slaw was not too wet or too dry with excellent flavor and the pickle slices were refreshing after a bite of the medium-spice level chicken. And don't get me started on that sauce!! It was perfect for both the chicken & fries, I loved it! Definitely check this place out if you're a fried chicken connoisseur! :)

It still tasted excellent even without the alcohol. If you do prefer a kick, choose a frozen cocktail with either tequila or vodka. Harlem Hots: This masterpiece is smothered in hot sauce and topped with scallions and blue cheese crumble. The inside was tender and juicy. Have them as is or with blue cheese dipping sauce; the choice is yours. Tribeca Truffle Mac: The shells are cooked in american and cheddar cheese and sprinkled with chives and bread crumbs. You have to give this a "tri" be size you will be highly satisfied! I Scream Tender: This may look like a chicken tender, but it is actually ice cream. Toffee crust replaces breadcrumbs, vanilla ice cream in lieu of chicken, and chocolate caramel dipping sauce is substituted for barbecue sauce. It looks so identical to the the main course, i couldn't believe this was a dessert. Nicely charred where it needed to be. The kind of chicken that makes you pause mid-chew and point at the plate like, okay, now hold on. The beans were killer. Full flavor. Rich. Comforting. Not an afterthought hiding in the corner of the tray pretending to matter. These had real presence. The kind of side dish that starts acting like it pays rent. Deeply satisfying. Very much giving do not overlook me, sweetheart. And the rice? Stand up. Seriously. The rice came in with backup dancer status and somehow turned into co-lead. Fluffy. Well-seasoned. Actually worth eating on its own, which is rare because a lot of restaurant rice just be there for emotional support. This rice had purpose. This rice had ambition. Service kept things moving and the whole place felt easy to enjoy. No extra drama. Just good food doing what it was supposed to do. The atmosphere had that low-key, no-nonsense energy where people clearly came to eat first and talk later. Exactly the kind of mood a chicken spot should have. it's giving... every member of the group project unexpectedly pulled their weight.

Orders are made at the register as soon as you walk in, even for dine-in orders. I ordered grilled chicken with yellow rice and red beans and a side of sweet plaintains. The chicken was those flat, paper thin strips with grill marks all over. It was tender but not very flavorful. The yellow rice was good and the beans were fine. The sweet plaintains were the best part of my meal. They were cooked nice and brown and they weren't mushy at all. I asked for hot sauce. I was given a cold bottle of hot sauce from the fridge. The dipping sauce helped to give the chicken a little zing. Chicken Stop is a narrowly built restaurant with decent seating, dim lighting and fake grass walls. There was a large, flat-screen TV hanging from the fake grass wall, showing the news. The satellite music was an awful mix of soft rock and country/western. Menu prices are reasonable. I have business in that area now. I'll be dining at Chicken Stop again.
