Outdoor space is really cute and forsure a vibe and drink options are great! My three stars is mostly for food. The lobster Mac and cheese was good with a decent amount of lobster but lacking in flavor. I personally like a sharper cheese but in my opinion it was relatively bland. On the other hand the poke nachos (not pictured) was a bit too much. The fish was smothered in spicy Mayo and eel sauce and I really couldn't taste the fish. The tortilla chips that came with it were just ok not much to say it was a tortilla chip. Maybe could have been elevated with some flaky salt and lime or substitute for a wonton chip. I initially thought that was what it came with. The poke salad however was delicious maybe the sauce was absorbed with the greens. Pleasantly surprised by the hidden crispy rice and added some great texture. We were a big group and the servers were great checking up on us! My first time at Pour Company, I was meeting my friend for happy hour. We sat at the outside bar and were served by one of the bartenders, Brian. He was awesome and provided great service! I got a draft beer and my friend had the sangria, which I tried and it was delicious! We also ordered the fried pickles, chorizo pulled pork nachos, and the pork belly sliders off the happy hour menu. The nachos were definitely my favorite thing we ordered. The cheese sauce was delicious and they were generous with the amount of meat they put on the nachos. The fried pickles were okay. The batter was a little too thick, but they were crispy and delicious. I won't comment too much about the sliders because I'm not a big pork belly fan, but the pork belly had a lot of flavor, so I'm sure it would be a favorite for those who do enjoy pork belly! MEHHHH. This place is disappointing and probably won't come back. This place is pretty inconspicuous and easy to miss if you're passing by, but once you step in, it's a bar and small seating area but if you keep walking through a narrow aisle, past the kitchen, you get to a cute semi outdoor patio. It has a real Austin-Ey vibe to it and there's another bar outside. Cute decor and great place to Hang out with friends and grab a drink and chat. The food, on the other hand, is nothing to write home about. Ordered the nacho plate, brussel sprouts and poutine fries for appetizers, all of which were a dud. Nachos had braised beef on top that was soaked too heavily in wine and left a bitter aftertaste. Poutine fries were horrible. They were soggy. Not a single crispy fry. They were buried under a glop of gravy but there were no cheese curdles. Isn't that the essence of the dish?! Then the brussel sprouts... omg. They were oily, soggy and cooked in a sweet and sour sauce. As for entree, I ordered the special of the day. It was a steak cooked medium rare with potato balls and Seasonal vegetables. The steak was a little too well done and was was too fatty. I could barely eat a bite without spitting out parts of each bite. The flavor of the steak and sauce was pretty good though and the potato balls were probably my favorite part. Crunchy on the outside and potato mixed with bacon on the inside. A group of friends less than 6 of us all went to celebrate a birthday. My friend found this place since it was in the middle for everyone. The whole food quality was good and a nice selection. The pricing wasn't too bad, basically your average. The service was good and attentive to what we needed. The food also came out quick. The only down part about this place is that they charge $6 extra for using your card. That's pretty ridiculous. There's also no where on the website or when you walk that informs people of the extra charge. This day and age hardly anyone carries cash on them especially when they go out to eat. Even when I go to eat at Nordstrom, they don't charge me $6 for using my card. It's too bad that they "snuck" in that little added extra charge. We had a fantastic experience here tonight! Our server, Madison was super awesome, very welcoming, friendly and she gave us great suggestions! I have been in the serving industry for 17 years and it was an absolute pleasure and breath of fresh air to have a server like her. Great food aside, she made the entire visit worth coming back for!! Definitely recommend the Walnut Old Fashioned! We also enjoyed the Aqua Caliente Margarita (lightly spicy cucumber marg, hats off to the bartender, it was perfect on a hot day!) Food wise, hands down, absolutely delicious!! We had the Bulgogi Fries (portion was on point! I got my fill and took home seconds!) I came on a Friday at 7pm and was seated immediately, although the restaurant was almost full with guests. The food: everything had great flavors. The fried pickles were nice and crispy. The tuna tartar was good but not as delicious as the poke bowl! The poke bowl was well seasoned and the flavors were well balanced. The brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly. The fish tacos were 3 tacos with giant slabs of fried fish. They definitely did not skimp on the ingredients! The shrimp and grits had great texture, not too mushy. Just the way it should be! This is a nice gathering spot. The food and drinks are good and the service is awesome! Started with the AGUA CALIENTE which is basically a margarita. I think it was advertised as spicy (hence the name) but mine wasn't spicy whatsoever. It had a little spice on the rim but most of it fell off before it got to me. I heard the SANGRIA is where it's at. Next time I'm there, that's what I'm going for. The CESAR SALAD WITH SHRIMP wasn't what I thought it would be for $18. The shrimp were ginormous and so succulent, which is awesome and worth it I think. It's only been a couple hours and I can't really remember the flavor of the salad though. It was mild. I think I'd try for something else next time. As for the staff I didn't catch their names but they were awesome! Super helpful and suuuper nice. Double Smoked Bacon Mac N Cheese ($9): This is shown under the "sides" category but is large enough to be eaten as an entree! The dish is pretty rich and creamy which will fill you up quick. Nice pairing with a burger. B.O.M ($14): The "burger of the month" was a pastrami burger (meat patties and sliced pastrami. Decent amount of meat but there was an excess of mustard which overpowered the burger. House Burger ($12): Bun was nicely toasted on both ends with two juicy patties, melted american cheese, mildy sweet bacon jam and beer braised onions. I normally love veggies in a burger but this was so good I didn't even realize there was no lettuce/tomato until now as I write this review. It was tropical and a little sweet. I have had Ube before and knew I would enjoy this. My husband had a Padawa Porter and it was deep and delicious. Do not be afraid of the dark ales stouts. They are not heavy tasting, just more flavor! We started with pretzel bites, salty yummy bites served with two dipping sauces. I had the pour house burger. Cute patio! Server was nice. I would recommend bringing cash because they charge you to use a credit card. That fee should really be on the owner/establishment (plus they're making profit off it because there's no way a credit card company is charging them that much per transaction).
