We decided on this hotel to eat dinner on Sunday evening. It was a bit confusing on where to inquire to sit down as the hostess stand is tucked into a back corner. We found a table inside near the mountains & gondola, the doors were wide open giving us a nice evening breeze. The food is a bit expensive but so is the hotel as its ion the higher end. I had the Club wrap and it was just ok. It was large on portion. I ate half only but I did enjoy the fries. My husband enjoyed his Wasatch Burger and it was cooked medium rare just as he likes it. Service was good. I wish the water had ice, and I could have asked, but I thought it strange it's room temp. They gave a nice patio to sit on and weather permitting looked enjoyable. read more

This was an extremely pleasant surprise. We stayed at the Pendry for a weekend and wasn't totally in love with the resort...which is why we had low expectations for the restaurant on property. To our surprises, the food here is great! We got a few cocktails; I had caesar salad with salmon (both nights) and my husband also order the burger 2 nights in a row. Wanted to try other items on the menu but these were so solid that we ended up having the same dinner 2 days in a row. And the price was reasonable as well! Highly recommend. read more

Nice living room atmosphere for the Pendry's lobby bar. They have couch seating as well as regular four top and high top seats. All are separated from the primary bar seats. This is a full bar with good selections of bourbon, wine and craft beers. We found the food to be good. Caviar service was reasonably priced. Oysters from the Northeast were excellent. The burger was great and I ordered the tomato bisque almost daily. Service was attentive and helpful. Special acknowledgment for Adam who was great. This is an easy start or finish to your day. Awesome spot to stop for lunch mid ski day. My dad and I stopped in for lunch off the Sunrise lift. It wasn't super busy contradictory to all the places directly on the slopes, which was nice. Our server was kind and friendly. Not super attentive or fast when we tried to pay to get back on the slopes but that's ok. The food and cocktails were really good. While the food was pretty expensive, it tasted fresh and was a nice size portion. They have various seating options from bar seating, to couches, to lounge chairs, to normal dining tables. It had a nice fun atmosphere and turns into a fun Apres ski vibe later in the afternoon. read more

Came in for a quick drink during the slow season. The bar staff was attentive and friendly! The drinks were delicious! We watched a bit of the game while sitting at the bar and chatting with the other patrons. The inside of the bar is cozy and warm with fires going. This was one of the only bars open during mid November in the resort area. read more

I am staying in the Canyons Village area for a three-night concert series and this morning I went searching for a table-service breakfast option (as opposed to grab-and-go counter service) and found this restaurant as one of the only available options within walking distance of my accommodations. It did NOT disappoint!!! Upon arrival, I requested an outdoor table (it's a gorgeous although somewhat cool temp morning) and I was met with supportive response. (It can understandably be difficult to find enough server coverage on a busy Saturday morning even without adding a guest to a table outside but the team didn't flinch at my outside table request.) My two daughters and I are visiting Park City for the first time and staying close by this restaurant. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a very serious bartender. The girls got an espresso martini and I was given taste tests of Chardonnay. I chose one without looking at the price and it ended up being $34 when I got the bill. Probably my bad but... I know the mountains do not have a lot of snow and there weren't as many people that came to Park city this year because of that I don't know if they're trying to make up money for lost money during that time or what but we did have the best pita bread freshly made with warm hummus that I do recommend. Seating is first come first served and a mix of hightop tables and lounge areas. It's got a bit of an upscale but relaxed feel. Service is quick and attentive - but they do get busy here. Prepare yourself when you see the menu because the prices are shocking (but hey - you're at a ski resort right?). Gin martinis were good, shrimp cocktail ($38) and half a dozen oysters ($38) were good too (although I got quite a bit of shell with each oyster). The oysters come with a mignonette (little spoon please?) and tabasco, but no cocktail sauce (we took some from the shrimp cocktail) or horseradish. I organized a group gathering here (9 people) for drinks & dinner before a nearby music concert. Although this restaurant doesn't take reservations even for large groups, when we arrived we were promptly seated outside on the patio. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. The service was friendly, professional, and efficient. The atmosphere was lovely (there was live music on the patio too). The drinks and food were excellent (the presentation as well as the taste). The food was served within a short time after us ordering, and the staff worked hard to bring our checks, process our payments, and get us out the door in time for our concert. Everyone really enjoyed the whole experience! I think people don't often enough take the time to give positive feedback or to commend restaurants on a job well done. This time such a commendation is well deserved. The servers/assistants and the chefs/kitchen staff all did an exceptional job, and the result was a group of very happy customers! Very well done! We love après, but we went off season, so we wondered what we'd get. This restaurant appears like the lobby, but it's on the other side of the massive fireplace ... so it's a lounge. There is a bar, 21+ area, and a family friendly seating area as well as a family friendly patio. For the price you might wonder what you get, but we feel for classy dinners in Park City these portions are large. And yes, this is a laid back restaurant but the food is 1st class. The service can be a tad slow BUT let the server know if you want a quick meal. This restaurant and space are meant to be relaxing and enjoyed. So don't rush through pleasure of the company you're dining with. read more

We can for the chocolate and the chocolate-chip skillet, and are pretty sure they gave us a packet of Nesquik and a frozen cookie and charged us 30 bucks, but so is Park City. Definitely the best place we ate at at the resort. I kept expecting upscale overpriced Chilis food everywhere but I was pleasantly surprised. The fish and chips was very delicious and worth the money this time. My bf got the sandwich and it was a lot of food for the money. Apres Pendry has become a go to spot for us when skiing the canyons when I want a Hot Toddy or an Irish Espresso Martini. I love the high end atmosphere and always chuckle when they ask if they can bill it to my room though...I can afford to ski there because of the Epic Pass and buy my drinks but I don't think I'll ever be able to bill it to my room. read more

Modern swish bar in the new Pendry was the perfect find for a night cap as we looked out onto the Plaza lit up by multiple firepits and the festive twinkling lights of Christmas trees. We had the rum-based Harry's Old Barbosan and the illusive Cajuani with mescal, passion fruit, lime, serrano and black salt, which did not disappoint! We sat at the bar and service was impeccable. Unfortunately what we received was barely up to par with your average Chuck a Rama. My family and I love this spot. We returned from a week in the Canyons area and went to the Pendry on 5 different occasions. The interior is lavishly decorated with a nod of masculine opulence in the color choices and finishes. Great people watching. Weekend live entertainment is fantastic (Ryan is a must see). That said, the service and menu execution can be hit-or-miss. Let me provide specific feedback because we will return and want this place to be even better. Everyone on the team is warm, friendly and engaging. Some have the "hustle" gene....some do not. It can take 15-20 mins to get one's cocktail even at less than 50% occupancy. "Team" service flow is non-existent (except for the one utility waiter that mostly runs food and is unavailable for bussing and water refills). At times I witnessed three managerial types roaming the floor during peak, but the service flow did not noticeably improve. One subtlety I look for in service flow is how the service team responds to the presence of a strong FOH manager....does the alpha energy catalyze team performance? Does the manager help nudge behavior and provide in-the-moment feedback? Never saw that happen. Another observation is that servers seem to spend an above-average amount of their time on the POS doing order entry. For such a basic menu, I would have expected that OE would be more efficient. Perhaps that is an efficiency idea to explore with your POS vendor? Food execution: some items are a hit (best burger in Canyons, turkey club, amazingly fresh salmon thanks to KITA next door). Areas to rectify: - Remove the tagliatelle from the menu - inedible mush. Even our server said (after the fact, mind you) that she doesn't recommend the dish. We sent that dish back - Steak & frites - steak cut is too thin so it loses much of its flavor after cooking - Passionfruit mock tail is way too thick. Horrible mouth-feel and overload of sugar. Question why this is on a winter menu. - Chocolate fondue - do not serve out-of-season, un-ripe strawberries! (This goes back to a training topic - why does the kitchen and service staff think that it is permissible to serve un-ripe fruit?) My old boss and mentor, Horst Schulze, used to teach us that "Value is Quality divided by Price" (V = Q/P). If you have a high quality product, you can charge whatever you want and guests will feel that it was high-value. After spending $2K+ on F&B at AP this past week, my perception of Value was "meh+". I would urge Pendry management to focus on the Q portion of this equation....improving service flow and food execution is within your span of control. read more

We came here on Saturday night, which was the last night of our trip. We were staying in the Canyons Village and had heard really great things. The ambiance was great, and the hotel is beautiful. However, service was insanely slow. It probably took about 30 minutes to get drinks. My brother-in-law thought his old fashions were just fine, which was disappointing considering they were $18 each. My sister had two glasses of wine, and despite ordering the same glass, the first one was $15 and the second time she was charged $24. She didn't realize it until after she had already paid the bill. Tried the pendry bar today for apres ski (1/7/23 at 3:30 pm) and was pretty dissapointed. Sitting in the bar, the door from the outside constanly opens and closes blowing cold air into the bar each time. This ruins the ambiance of the bar and we felt bad for the pianist and singer who were positioned by the door. They were great by the way. For a brand new property did the designers not think about a vestibule? Easy fix would be to lock the door and direct everyone to another entrance. Cocktails and wine prices are high...maybe expected in Chicago, NY or LA, but this is Utah where the pours are weak. Server was cordial, knowledgable and willing to offer a taste of wine prior to making a selection which was very much appreciated. The thing that was most dissapointing was the $22 Alpine Fries. Good concept but if you're going to charge $22 make an effort. We thought the Pendry would deliver on great food but the dish was bascially frozen French fries topped with very small cubes of tough unseasoned pork belly, very small slices of cornichon, a sprinkle of cheese and a 2 oz side of Emmentaler cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was tasty so nice job there but frozen unseasoned fries and the balance of the dish was pitiful. The pork belly and cornichons were cut so small you basically had to eat them separatly. If the fries were handcut, fried and seasoned properly, the pork belly was tender, seasoned and portioned, and there was a properly sized pickled vegetable to top it off along with more cheese and cheese sauce, this would be an awesome dish. Sorry, but you have to do better if you want us to come back. You have a great location and a captive audience but don't slack becuase of this, take pride in your offering and step it up. read more
