Just bought a car for my wife, what can I say, the car is amazing, we use to have a 2020 Explorer ST, traded it for a 2024 Honda pilot Elite... I was so "vanilla" so boring, no personality, the only good thing about the pilot was the space, it got bad gas mileage while still being slow, I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to go back to the Explorer ST this time with a 2026, OMG what a difference, and it wasn't only the car, the place, the service, the PRICE! I will miss the extra seat, but to be honest, we used maybe 3-4 times in 2 years, so no big deal, even coming to the dealer for service was always a good experience and I'm glad to know that Darren is still here, he was an amazing service advisor, he was always honest and efficient, the whole team has been great! I thought it would be good idea have service done on my vehicle at the dealership. I was sorely mistaken! The entire process was made too complicated and tedious. None of the staff has good communication skills nor were there able to accurately explain the repairs my vehicle needed. My invoice was much more expensive than expected with service fees and parts that no one good provide an explanation for and then I was charged an additional $50 service charge just to pay my bill. The entire experience was horrible. I will not be going there again. read more

Pro-tip: ask for Jake Meadows! We were on a roadtrip in the middle of nowhere when the check engine light came on. We googled the closest dealership and found Power Ford. At first it was very difficult to find a live person, but we left a few messages and Jake was th first to return our call followed by Brooke shortly after. Both were extremely kind and understanding of our unfortunate situation. Especially with the Balloon Fiesta making rental cars and accommodations completely impossible to find. We arrived the following morning and as promised Jake and Brooke were there right on time!! Luckily, everything checked out and we were quickly on our way! Shoutout to the parts department Jerry & Collin were SUPER helpful. Jerry gave us troubleshooting ideas and confirmed that they had the parts that the service dept would likely need to fix our error code. Great team effort all the way around! Idk where to start, going there to get tires installed and paid for by my tire warranty was a nightmare and they made me call Safegaurd multiple times and had to sit outside with my service animal in the heat only to be told in the end NEVER COME BACK. False Advertising and Bait & Switch Tactics I inquired about a truck that was listed for sale on Power Ford's website. The truck was marked up $5k above MSRP. The description stated that Power Ford would beat ANY new New Mexico car deal or would give you $1000 cash. I asked the dealer to match the price I got on the same truck in northern NM. The dealer refused and claimed raptors didn't qualify. When I pushed he changed his reason to the fact that the truck they are selling doesn't have a factory bedliner or upgraded wheels like the one in northern NM does. They pointed to terms which were not available or on the mobile website, which is where the offer was. Eventually Power Ford told me to hire an attorney to sue them for the $1000. I'd steer clear of this dealership- and any dealership that makes claims that they can't support. Deceptive advertising is unfair and anti consumer, and rather than address the situation amicably, the salespeople at Power Ford tried to bully and weasel their way out of their legal commitments. read more

Power Ford crashed my car! I took my 2017 Ford Mustang in to Power Ford for service and repair. A job that should have been done in a few days took nearly 3 months!! Why? because a few days later they called me to say one of their workers had an accident with my car, and some major damage had been done. They needed to send my car out to a body shop. The body shop took quite a while to dissemble the front end, wait for ordered parts, and then reassemble, paint and cure my car. It was then recovered by Power Ford. To make a long story short, I finally got my car back on Jan. 15, 2026. I was without my car for nearly 3 months. This is what I call poor customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would. My mom purchased her truck from this dealership and has only returned for required recall and warranty work. Her first visit (a recall repair) took 5 hours -- not ideal, but understandable. She waited patiently. Her most recent visit was a complete disaster and a blatant display of dishonesty and disrespect. She drove 2.5 hours to and across Albuquerque for a scheduled 10:00 AM appointment to have faulty bed outlet wiring repaired. After 2.5 hours of waiting, she walked to the service desk to ask for an update. The service advisor walked to the back, had a full 10-minute conversation with a technician -- clearly visible to my mom the whole time -- and then came back to tell her with a thumbs-up, "They're working on it." That was a flat-out lie. Her truck had been sitting in the parking lot, untouched, the entire time. She waited another 2.5 hours -- now 5 hours after her appointment time -- and walked back again. This time, she saw her truck still sitting in the lot. When she asked about it, the same guy said, "Uh, let me check," and then proceeded to get in her truck and finally drive it into the service bay for the first time. They hadn't even started the work. The repair? Done in 40 minutes once they actually began. So here's the full picture: * 2.5-hour drive to Albuquerque * 5-hour wait at the dealership while being lied to * 40-minute repair * 2.5-hour drive home When she brought it to their attention, the response was: "How do we fix it?" Are you kidding? That's your job. She's not on your payroll. At minimum, own up to the lie, apologize sincerely, offer a tank of gas or a car wash -- anything to show some respect for her time and trust. But no -- they did the work and sent her on her way. Same reaction when she called later: "How do we fix it?" This was a shameful experience. If you value honesty, accountability, and your time -- take your business elsewhere. My best advice to other is to RUN the opposite direction from Power Ford. The hassles and headaches that come with doing business with them are simply not worth it, and I should have seen the writing on the wall when I was given incorrect and misleading information by the sales staff, which was then only made worse when dealing with the finance department, and like so many other customers report, I was completely ignored when trying to contact management and ownership post-purchase. Other customers who have also had bad experiences should contact Ford Motor Company's Customer Relationship Department @ 1-800-392-3673. I know this may be an unpopular review...but I did at least 4 weeks of research on a specific Ford model before I purchased from Power Ford. They have a big inventory, without going out of town. I talked to ALL of the dealerships in New Mexico before I purchased. First off, don't bother doing email sales or inquiries with them. Do your research and then go in and touch the stock number you are looking at. We had a very good sales person, Justin, who helped us and we were able to get a great deal with them. Impossible to schedule service and repairs. They don't pick up the phone, nor do they respond to voice mails. I tried for a week, then randomly called at the end of the work day. I explained the maintenance and repairs my F-150 needed, and the service rep said a scheduler would be in touch to get me on the calendar. No one ever got back in touch. I took my vehicle in for work with Darren told him the issues my vehicle was having they kept my car for almost three weeks for an oil change and diagnostic when I received my vehicle your idiot of a mechanic said it was a water bottle in my trunk making noise. I let a month pass I called darren back who showed no concern at all for my issue they did not resolve. I took my car to a local shop (el vecinos) they did diagnostic for free and figured out the issue and showed me the center support bearing was trashed. Yesterday early afternoon I was shopping online for a Ford Bronco. The date was 11-13-21. I went on True Car and saw an ad for a vehicle through Power Ford. The Bronco was a Wildtrak, and was listed at $57,960.00 The True Car people connected me with Power Ford and they confirmed the ad. They connected me with a Sales person and I started the process. I got a call back from this fellow a few hours later who said "You realize that we are going to charge 30K more than the advertisement states yes?" I of course did NOT expect a reputable business to post an ad at $57,960.00, follow through with conversations and emails and then bait and switch to the tune of 30 THOUSAND DOLLARS? What a dirty way to do business. Tomorrow morning I am going to use some connectivity I have to reach a member on the board of directors at Ford and report this nonsense. Seemed good at the start but ended poorly. I purchased a used 2013 F350 from them back in November the salesman raved how they do thorough inspections of all used vehicles and only the best used vehicles make the lot, the rest the send to auction. So, I felt confident I was getting a good truck. Soon after the purchase a got a check engine light and my truck went into limp mode. After stopping and shutting of the vehicle and restarting it, it went away. It continued to do this intermittently, so I borrowed a OBD2 Scanner and a Code showed for a Turbo and for a Reductant Pump. So took it the service department since I paid over $3k for an extended warranty. The turbo is covered with the extended warranty but for some reason their computer didn't pull a code on the turbo the only code they got was for the Reductant pump which would be over 2k to fix. The tech said the harness was broken on the pump and taped together. Well I asked why they didn't find that in the inspection before they sold me the truck, which they said they only do Safety Inspections on the trucks, how convenient how the story changed. I opted to not have them fix it and when I went to go pick up the truck I checked underneath where the pump is at, above the Def tank and you can see bright green tape holding it together. So, 1: they don't inspect their used vehicles at all, 2: they do inspections but very poor ones or 3: they do inspections, notice issues and ignore them, either way I WOULD NEVER BUY from them again. They didn't offer any help or solutions other then to charge me a over $1,300 to fix something that should have never passed there so called "inspection" to get on their lot. Their website boasts that "Our pre-owned vehicles undergo thorough inspections to ensure quality and reliability" and " Our team carefully selects and inspects each used car to meet our strict standards" yet they missed bright green tape over a connector that is visible with a quick glance. *** So, there has still been no solution offered, again I want to quote their website that says, "Our pre-owned vehicles undergo thorough inspections to ensure quality and reliability." So, I have attached a photo of the area in question. Again, I was told at the service department I need to replace the pump and that the pump connection was taped together and held together with zip ties, which you can see clearly from the picture of the area in question. I still don't understand how during a "thorough" inspection this was missed. On their website it also states that "Our team carefully selects and inspects each used car to meet our strict standards", so I guess Power Fords standard is allowing vehicles on their lot with connections being held together with tape. Just make sure before purchasing that you do your own inspection! *** read more

I've had to go back and forth to this Power Ford for the past two years now because my car always needs something and when Jacob Ortega was there he was fantastic. Today I went and I believe the two men who assisted me were Jake Meadows and another man who's last name was Martinez. Jake was the first person to help me even though everyone else in the room just stared at me. I thought the problem was a lot bigger than it was and Jake reassured me and helped get me in and out in less that 30 minutes. I wish I could remember the first name of Mr. Martinez but he was great with diagnosing the problem and telling me what to look out for in the future. Simple battery issue. Great couple of guys and I hope they get recognized for the phenomenal work they do and their outstanding customer service!!! read more

Ordered a battery terminal cover for my van. The part I received was not what I ordered. Not only did they send the incorrect part, but the package was shipped open with written on the package "THIS PACKAGE CANNOT BE RETURNED IF OPENED." I received the package already opened. A lesson learned for me and to as many people, starting with the maintenance shop I work with and all of the locations throughout the state. I will never do business with Power Ford again. If business is this bad where you have to send an incorrect part and then to sent the incorrect part with the package already open, tells me the means you will go through to get money. In big black bold letters it said "power Ford price". I get to the dealer. And they tell me that the price is $2000 more. I point out the price on the website And he says "oh you didn't see down below where it says blah blah blah." So I told him I'm not paying that $2000, I'll just leave. they did end up waiving it But that's a dirty business practice and they know it. In November I took mt F150 to have the transmission serviced. I wasn't worried that it was going to take them all day. I picked it up that afternoon and had to drive to the east mountains. As I was going through the canyon on I-40 the truck started to jerk and bang and almost stopped between two Semi trucks. It almost came to a stop in the middle lane. After I limped it to where I could pull off safely I got out and saw transmission fluid all over the bottom of the truck as well as the tailgate and fender wells. I called them immediately and they would send a tow truck out to pick it up. After an hour of waiting the tow truck showed up and we headed back to the dealership. I really never got word on whet they did. All they said is that they had to do the service again and kept it over night. After picking it up the transmission really never seemed the same as it was shifting funny and not really down shifting correctly. The engine would bog down a bit when going up a hill before down shifting. Another issue came up with a loud grinding noise when I was starting the truck after it sat overnight and a few minutes. Luckily I have an extended warranty so I took it in to have both issues checked out. They said the noise was the can phasers, (these were changes once under a recall at another dealership). I also have the engine light coming on that showed Evap emission issues. I have the device that shows the codes. Well after everything is said and done they had to replace the transmission, repair the cam phasers, and drop the tank for the evap emission issue. All in all about $13K where my warranty only covered $10K. of it. I feel the transmission should have been covered by Power Ford as I had to come out of pocket almost $3K to get my truck back after a month in a half. Well this is not the end of the story. I have had my truck for about 3 weeks now and the transmission they put in is having issues. I was coming in from SW NM and it started shifting real funny and really jerking in and out of gear when accelerating. Once when I went to pass a slow vehicle coming across the San Augustine Plains when I went to accelerate the engine revved to about 5k and then banged into gear. When I got to town I left a message to my service person to let him know what was going one but I haven't heard a word back from him. It was Monday the 27th of June when I left the message and I haven't heard from anyone yet. It is now July 2nd. My next call will be tomorrow to the general manager. I would like to have someone ride with me so they can see what is happening. read more

Friend had oil change and coolant flush scheduled for F250 SuperDuty. Charged $400. Friend drove truck to Las Vegas NV and truck approached overheating redline when climbing a long hill. Checked coolant and discovered old coolant and low level, obviously hadn't been changed. Checked oil and was as black as could be. Obviously, no oil change had been done either. Will call dealer tomorrow but for now had to add coolant to keep trip going. Unacceptable performance. We will see how they do when we call them. read more

I've been trying to buy upgrades for my Mustang since 2018! Each time I go in there they either give me a bad attitude, brush me off, or ignore me completely! Also. My brand new Mustang has had issues from the factory that they magically can't fix. I've taken my car there dozens of times and been through MANY loaner cars. One of which got a tiny rock nick, and I was made to purchase and replace the entire windshield! This would not have been happening had I nit been sold a lemon in the first place! Very dishonest dealership. I took my Ford in for a trunk problem. The trunk was not opening. They quickly fixed it. I had a "premiumcare" warranty through Ford, which the dealership verified through the vin. However, this dealership refused to honor Ford's own extended warranty. Even worse, the dealership threatened to keep the car until I paid the bill, which is illegal. Keep your eyes on them! I respect hard work, but not scammers. read more

The vehicle came in on Monday and a couple days later was on a truck to ship it half way across the country to me. I never had to step foot in the dealership to finalize the deal. Went shopping around for a car for my spouse. When we first came went in, it took ten minutes for a sales rep to ask us if we needed help and that's only because we walked up to him. We made it very clear that we were only browsing around and getting an idea what the finances for a car from this dealership would look like. We were also looking for a specific car but the dealership didn't have it. Instead, the sales rep tried to weasel us into buying another car we didn't want when we made it clear we weren't buying at the moment. Rep gives us a contract to sign where payments start at 400 a month and go up to 500 after a year, despite offering to put 10K down. When we showed we weren't interested, sales rep gets livid and acts as if we offended him. We got up and left. I usually dislike going to dealerships but after this experience, it'll be a cold day before I set foot in one again. read more

Avoid this dealership. The bad business that they get away with as a major franchise is terrible. They stole money from me, sold me parts and products that they never fulfilled. I had a extremely difficult time getting my vehicle registration and license plates that they were supposed to handle for me. Their employees come and go. It's like a revolving door and nobody stays for long. I tried reaching the owners over the issues with the brand new vehicle that I purchased and their failure to provide me basic things that I paid for and/or that come with a new vehicle purchase. There are other Ford dealers with better ownership and management in and around the ABQ area. Ford should take away their franchise at Power Ford. read more
