He took a look around inside and out then pretty much held us hostage with this pitch. He left AFTER 11PM!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This drawing it out tactic, felt predatory and unethical to me; if after an 1 1/2 hrs you haven't signed up that feels* like a good time to be done. Im not sure what kind of sales people drive Teslas and have 4 hour long pitch sessions after 7pm..... but like other people have commented about this business they will try every single thing to get you to sign. Their interest rate was wild at about 17%, with our quote being close to 49k. So on top of their pitch guys being unable to take a hint, they want to charge the cost of a new car for this. Even with their supposed payment plan it would be like paying a brand new car note every month at well over $400 something. Just as a heads up if you could not avoid signing with them in Virginia- the law says buyers have a right to cancel a home solicitation sale until midnight of the third business day after the day when you sign an agreement. Be careful y'all and be diligent in your search to find the right remodeler this was a mistake. read more

They gave me a quote help me find financing even though I did not need it. BEWARE of Power Windows and Remodeling. Replacement windows were ordered for my house before I went to settlement in August 2020. Over the years Power as come with replacements but consistently brought the wrong sizes. They'd made at least 6 or more attempts to replace the sashes that their service personnel measured and ordered incorrectly. The original manufacturing company has gone out of business. Again last month they brought the incorrect size. Now in order to have these sashes replaced Power will charge me $180 each for the remaining 2 sashes they brought in April. My husband and I have been interested in window replacements as our next home renovation. When a salesperson from Power knocked on our door, my husband accepted the offer for a free estimate. The salesperson said they would come back to our house for a free estimate when both my husband and I were home. He refused to give a free estimate to just my husband. I now know this is a common sales tactic, and a red flag that the free estimate is not worth the torturous 4+ hour sales pitch we endured the following day. I was supposed to be home by 6pm for the free estimate but did not make it back till 6:30pm. The Power salesperson, Max, was getting a tour from my husband of all the windows in the house. He said he was going to take a walk around the exterior of our house to take photos and gather more information for the estimate. I assumed that once he returned from the outdoors, he would have all the information he needed to provide an estimate, and this experience was nearing a conclusion. Oh, how I was so wrong. Max asked my husband to come see the "damage" done to our house due to the windows needing to be replaced. He showed my husband our concrete steps next to our sliding glass doors that had a crack in them. He told my husband the crack in the concrete step is due to poor sealing in our sliding glass door, and that crack was going to rot out the wood in our foundation. My husband explained to Max that we have a concrete slab foundation so we are not concerned. He again showed my husband multiple examples of the windows leading to expensive house repairs. Almost all of these concerns Max showed my husband were exaggerated or false. I started serving dinner to my husband and 1 year old daughter, and he began giving us a presentation on the company and products offered. It was incredibly awkward. I was not expecting him to present to us during dinner, and I also did not know if it was my responsibility to feed him at this point. He had been in our house for over an hour and did not seem to be leaving any time soon. During his presentation he showed us how well rated Power is among customers. He also emphasized that we should not look at Yelp reviews for Power as Yelp is highly inaccurate with people only leaving reviews to complain. Little did Max know how insulting that statement was to a Yelp Elite. At the end of his presentation, he shared that all of the customer reviews he showed us were gained by promising the customer a discount for leaving a review. So clearly Yelp is a more accurate representation of the service and products Power has to offer. Max also did not ask me about my occupation. He tried explaining window chemistry to me while I hold a PhD in Chemistry. His explanation was riddled with inaccuracies, and I did not enjoy being mansplained on a topic I have a doctorate in. It got to be 8:30pm and I put my daughter down for bed. He still had not given us our free estimate at this point. It wasn't until two demonstrations and another presentation that he finally gave us our free estimate. He told us it would be about $42K to replace our windows. He then said we could pay only about $425 a month at a 17% interest rate for more years than we planned to even live in the house. When we told him that was not a possibility for us, he then said if we agreed to all the services this evening, the interest rate would drop to 10.9%. He told us to think on it, and we told him we did not need to think on it. The answer is no. He then started packing up and kept sitting at our dining table writing on a paper. At 10:30pm my husband finally asked him to get out of our house. He then left around 10:40pm. This experience felt so violating. We had no idea our entire evening would be stolen from us for a free estimate. We will certainly never do business with Power, and we hope no one else has to experience the horrors of their free estimates. read more

I can confirm that we also experienced an excessively aggressive ~4 hour sales pitch, during which the window warranty was explicitly lied about. The saleswoman claimed that "even if the neighborhood kid breaks your window, our warranty covers it". I can confirm that it does not, and that a single pane replacement runs over 500 hundred dollars. We practically kicked her out sometime after 9pm after repeated statements that we still hadn't eaten dinner. They consistently underestimate how long it takes for them to manufacture any volume of windows. We had the upper floor windows installed without any problems in the first session. The project manager was on-site to inspect the work and do a walkthrough with us, and asked the crew to fix one or two things before they left. Cleanup was good for the windows and the installation areas. Getting the lower floor windows replaced was a bit of a nightmare. From a scheduling perspective, someone from Power asked if they could drop off the windows the night before so that they were ready to go for the crew in the morning. We agreed, but then the installation crew never showed up the next day because they couldn't find the windows in the warehouse and that person had never annotated the work order that the windows had been delivered the day before. We waited for anyone to call or show up, and then finally had to call for an update to figure out the confusion that had happened on their end. Also one of the windows arrived broken. After the installation, I pointed out a window fit quality problem to the crew and they insisted it was normal, even though none of the other windows required pushing to latch shut, nor had trouble staying open. The project manager never personally came on-site to inspect the work. Less thorough cleaning up afterwards of both windows and installation areas. I think the only reasons I'm rounding up are because 1) we did at least experience the energy efficiency of the new windows, and 2) the on-site process to replace one of their broken hung windows takes less than 5 minutes. I just can't recommend them with a clear conscience. Their solicitors also still hound us multiple times a year during their door-to-door rounds... to replace their own windows. Hilarious. read more

The Power Home Remodeling people came to us and showed us what they do and they are very thorough in every step of the process from sales to explaining what they will be doing to cost comparisons to inspecting the work of their installation teams. I am quite skeptical of people coming up to me and trying to sell me things and they did a fantastic job of helping me to understand that their work is a good value. We had their radiant barrier put into our attic and we immediately noticed an improvement in the temperature of the house. (Warmer as it was quite cold outside.). I purchased front-window replacements from Power Home and Remodeling in October 2015. Within nine years, moisture has penetrated the seal and a brown stain has formed inside several windows. The windows are under warranty, but I was hit with a $180 per window charge for repair/replacement. With 32 windows, that totals $5,760. Windows were installed by the previous owner of my home in January 2016 by Power Home Remodeling Group. Warranty was transferred to me as subsequent owner - I requested Power Home Remodeling Group transfer the warranty via email in August 2021. I have had a total of 12 window sashes replaced since that time (two replacements ordered by the original owner, 10 ordered by me). In accordance with the warranty, I initiated the request via the Power Home Remodeling Group as the contractor. In April 2025, I contacted Power Home Remodeling Group regarding two failed windows that are covered under warranty, in accordance with the terms of the warranty. I was told that the manufacturer (Northeast Building Products [NBP])is no longer honoring the warranty and that I would be charged a fee, by Power Home Remodeling Group, of $180 for each sash to be replaced. I have asked why I am now being charged as no money had been exchanged for the previous 12 sashes replaced under warranty. Power Home Remodeling Group told me that it is because of a lot of finger pointing with the manufacturer (NBP). They have also stated that any sashes I replace will be covered by a new lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. I have called the manufacturer to ask and the representative I spoke to said that she could not look me up in the database to confirm whether the warranty was still active unless Power Home Remodeling Group filled out the paperwork to request the claim, but Power Home Remodeling Group has not followed the process outlaid in the warranty to initiate the claim. Power Home Remodeling Group has stated that there is no warranty. I have the paperwork for the warranty and am at a loss as to how to move forward. Power Home Remodeling Group is supposed to be the "middle man" per the warranty's process and state the manufacturer is not honoring their warranty - but this is not the process defined in the warranty I have. With the finger pointing and games I do not recommend Power Home Remodeling Group. Their service, products, and "warranty" are a waste of money. read more
