I can oniy speak from the sales end but they came out to my house and I stupidly opened the door (I normally don't). They did their little sales pitch about replacing windows and doors and thought they knew how old everything was (they were way of) and the brand of windows I had (they were 100% wrong). Unfortunately, I have an issue of not being able to end an unwanted conversation so I talked more than I should have and then they got on the phone with someone to try and get me in the system. But it was cold and I was standing in an open doorway and wanted to get back inside. Once I said I was done, they got a little more pushy, which was my signal to end things right then and there. If I'm going to hire a contractor, I'm not going to use someone who does door-to-door sales in this way. Those are usually the companies you have to watch out for. read more

made the mistake of talking to someone who came door to door. which i never do. but today i felt ok about it. signed up for a free estimate for the roof it was scheduled by someone on the phone and i should've known something was up. That first convo was weird. sounded like i was talking to AI. estimator came and right away something off there was just way way too much talking and presentation and when i agreed with something they just kept on selling. then they demanded to know when my wife would be home. because when they talked to me on the phone i had "said she would be home". finally i got it that guy wasn't going to leave until he sold and got us to sign something. i felt stupid i should have pegged the scam right away. Do not let Power Home remodeling into your house. look them up first and call them yourself if you want them to work on your house. don't let them play the estimate scam on you. i did. and i felt like it was a huge frustrating waste of my time. i'll never ever work wirh a door to door vendor again. When the workers arrived and asked if I had any questions, my one burning concern was over the Sparrow bird's nest over my front door. When I then looked on my porch, I saw that these guys had carefully placed this bird nest full of babies into a well-made wooden box, hung just a foot and a half from where they'd originally nested. (I'm a huge animal lover, so this was amazing to see!) over the next few days while they did (amazing work), I was overjoyed to see mamma bird feeding her babies in the carefully placed box made by Power. This gesture was not part of the contract and had nothing to do with their wonderful work, but meant the world to me! Babies all survived and flew the coop....amazing work, Power, can't thank you enoug!!! read more

A representative knocked on my door even though we have a "No Soliciting" sign. This is a violation of county ordinance and can result in a $1,000 fine and/or six months in jail. If this company cares so little for its employees (or the law), do you think they will care about you? This idiot claimed he did not see my No Soliciting sign, but neighbors reported on Facebook that the Power reps were giving all kinds of other excuses when asked for licenses, etc. By the way, I have tried calling Power to be put on a "Do Not Knock" list. The rep who knocked on my door had no record of my request. I doubt such a list exists. In any case, do not do business with this company. Those neighbors of mine who were foolish enough to do so later reported regretting it. read more

They are nice sales people; however, they are very pushy. I had to escort their sales woman (not a typo) out of my house. I never got a paper quote (Red flag 1). They also don't disclose their interest rate which is illegal under the consumer protection act. (Red flag 2). I only gave them 2 stars because they are nice. I had them come out for a quote on windows and they said I needed new siding. They showed me water that was dripping on the interior of the house. And then continue to show me a gap in the siding where the water was supposedly coming in. The watery substance that was on my window was kind of a greasy feel and it didn't feel like condensation. We told them we didn't want to go through with the $50,000 quote on our siding because we needed more time to think about this. So after he left we wiped down the window and the wall real good. It's rained several times since and no leaking. Hmmm makes me wonder if it was a scam. Stay alert and don't give in to what they say. Get a 2nd opinion. read more

The Power Home Remodeling marketing people make harassing phone calls constantly and change the phone number they are calling from each time. When asked to remove me from the list they just hang up and call back more frequently. If you call back the number they called, the call is transferred to an unrelated business. Maybe Power Home Remodeling will show some integrity and divulge their inappropriate marketing program and stop the harassment. Oh, when you get a call they don't identify themselves as Power Home Remodeling. You have to request a consult for one of the services to find out what the company name is. read more

They did a wonderful job with the new roof, skylights, eves/trim work, and larger gauge stemless gutters on my home. The teams that did the work were good and worked efficiently. The quality assurance team could not find any problems with the work for the home remodeling. Overall, I am very happy customer and would recommend Power Home Remodeling. Now for the negative and yes, this five-star review has negative part to it. This is an organization that wants to sell you a product and disappear. They literally told us to wait 2 months to fix the lock on a door that we just purchased. Buyer Beware. I did not pay attention to the other comments. Sure the inspector follows up 2 days after installation but pray that the window or door does not have a defect because they expect you to wait months. read more

These guys are very bad news. Their "free home estimate" is actually an "aggressive salesman's pitch" that only ends if/when the salesperson is ready to leave. They won't "work around your schedule". We had to hint very strongly that it was time for him to leave, and their salesman had the audacity to come back inside the house and make himself comfortable again. I wish I was making this up. Their windows are no different from the ones at Home Depot, quality wise. Plain and simple. The [obnoxious] salesman who came to our house showed us, eventually, monthly payments without clarifying how many or interest rates. Of course prices are lower when you are breaking it down for 7 years. And their interest rates are sky high, one might as well put in the credit card and get a much lower rate. Go with a local company. Find your own financing. Don't fall for these guys who "need to see you in person" -- after already having all the measurements, no less -- to tell how "wonderful" their savings will be. read more

This company came to my door to offer a free estimate. Booking was a hassle, and then the estimator stayed at my house for three hours. The quote was three times more that any competitor! They used all sorts of creepy sales tactics to try to get me to sign, and then took the quote back when I told them that it was much higher than everyone else. It was such a crazy experience. Posting this review so others do not fall for their "family owner business that will stand by our products." Over 2 years since ordering windows and back door. Have yet to have the install completed. Several defective windows were installed and had to be reordered. Almost a year later all but one arrived and was installed with no problem. One was the wrong size and had to once again be reordered. It's now been just shy of 2 years since the windows were purchased. The windows that have been installed do NOT reflect heat as the demo showed it would. I have asked several times for the demo window and heat lamp to be brought back out as I doubt these are the same quality windows I signed up for. Finally had them agree to bring the demo window back out in October. I will update this post on my findings. Spoke to Destiny this morning and was hung up on. Called back and spoke with Kate, who was nice and said that the replacement windows that were reordered back in February should be here in December. We shall see. Company has had 2 years to "make it right" - and continually refuses to fix their poor work. Wife has invested dozens of phone calls - mostly no call backs. When they do ... they eventually send someone out - who denies that there is anything wrong. The pictures clearly show the gutters were not installed properly and the facade has now fallen off. This is what 40k gets you folks - avoid this company at all costs.
