Discoloration

I started my journey with PHR back in October 2010. I placed an order for 8 new windows and had them stalled in Feb of 2011. Install went fine, no issues. Then in Sept of 2017, this is when the quality of the windows started to go bad. Had to use the warranty to get a window replaced due to discoloration between the 2 panes of glass. Copper, bubbling color of the film. Took a couple months to get this done. Then in March 2018, a different window had the same issue. Again, another couple months to get it replaced. April 2021, spoke with Mrogan for another window with the same issue. This one took until October 2022 to get replaced (I know it was during Covid). Another window in July 2023 and was told 6-8 months. Replaced in May 2025. Which brings me to 2026. Had another window (this makes 5 windows out of 8 now) that again had the same issue. However, this time I was informed that the warranty will not be honored due to they changed manufacturers a few years back. Say what?? I bought these window from you, you gave me a lifetime warranty on the windows I bought from you. I don't care where you get them manufactured, I need my lifetime warranty, from you, taken care of. Well, Ms Rachel said nope, either pay us $720 or I cannot help you. Well, so much for customer service and a lifetime warranty. No need to work this this company, they don't honor what they put in writing.

Their one yr guarantee quote

Had salesmen Taylor here for a quote on siding and siding only, received an email from company for a 1 yr guarantee price for ROOF and siding, which WAS discussed and he was told NO just siding.

Bedroom window

When they put in your windows and tell you it is a lifetime warranty, they mean that if you have pro lens you have to pay for a new window. They installed windows for us $12000 worth that started to release gas between panes almost immediately. Now, when I want them replaced, I have to pay for new windows. Apparently it is our fault that they didn't do their due diligence and make sure the manufacturer made a good product. Save yourself a hassle, use a different company.

As a homeowner it is a hard earned title. But they did not treat me as such.

I had a door salesman come to my home because they were doing work in the area. They offered to do a free window estimate and I was also interested in roofing. I rescheduled a few times because of the flu but was excited and ready for the consult. Well it didn't happen. We agreed to cancel as they were adamant about my 40 year old dependent not being available be available for the quote. I explained. I am the homeowner, I am the only name listed on the deed, property tax and utility bills in my name but I guess in 2026 it's not a thing to this company that a female with a PhD could be a home owner and that a male needs to be around. Maybe they'll want my almost 18 year old to listen in on a quote who doesn't do research but as an adult should be present. That was insulting and I decided to go through total service resolution as they are doing my neighbors siding and it's coming out beautifully. Watching them work thoroughly and carefully and the consult was with me and they were understanding that I was interested in roofing and window replacement as I am buying a second property. But looking at other reviews the warranty with this company is sketchy. Well on to BBB I go to place this.

What else kind of work besides roof is done? Is there any plumbing done or makeovers in bathrooms etc...

They do exterior stuff like doors, windows, siding, insulation and solar. They have tons of info on their website, and one of their people can look over your home and measure things you're looking at having done. I kid you not, Kristin spoke with…

A Plus Exterior did a phenomenal job on my historic 120 year old home, upgrading the siding on the…read morefront dormer along with transforming a pedestrian garage to a carriage house appearance. Alex, the owner, used a powerful visualization tool that helped smooth the process to obtain Historical Committee approval, and the final result matched the design perfectly. His crew handled unexpected rotted wood in the garage with real craftsmanship, ensuring the job was done right, not just fast. The A Plus Siding and Roofing teams, who installed a cupola on the garage, performed the work with excellent attention to detail. They were professional, hardworking, and a pleasure to have on site. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend A Plus Exterior for any siding or roofing project.

I recently had my roof replaced by A Plus Exteriors LLC in Milford, CT.. This is my review and…read moreexperience using A Plus Exteriors. First off, I have a High Ranch style home in a development of virtually identical High Ranch homes. All homes were built in the 70's and used gable vents in order to vent the roofs. The gable vents are literally like having 2 louvered open windows on each end of the roof. In the summer, the attic was so hot it would take the air out of my lungs if I stayed up there for more than 3 minutes. The roof was in need of replacement, so I called a few roofing contractors. They were all in the same ballpark with their prices using the same materials. They all recommended using a ridge vent that would "theoretically" allow the hot air trapped in my attic to escape out the top of the roof. Next, I called A Plus Exteriors LLC, and Alex Montero arrived at my home. Alex proceeded to my attic which was hot and it wasn't even summer yet. He tells me that gable vents are a cheap and inefficient way to vent a roof used by contractors, which is why all of the houses in your development have gable vents. He went on to inform me that the neighbors who had their roofs redone with ridge vents but leaving the gables now have worse ventilation problems because the air that comes into the attic through the gable vent goes right out the ridge vent when it enters, thereby leaving the middle of the roof hot. The two venting systems are fighting each other. Since I had insulation in my eaves, Alex suggested closing up the Gable Vents and installing an intake vent the length of the house on both sides about 2' up from the eaves to clear the insulation to allow cool air to flow in the bottom and hot air to flow out the top by the ridge vent. I looked at every house in my neighborhood and EVERY house had a ridge vent along with Gable Vents. That made me go online and Google informed me that everything Alex suggested was absolutely correct. It also explained why my central air system was inefficient on extremely hot days. The lesson I learned is that there are a lot of people out there who know how to nail on a shingle calling themselves "Roofing contractors." But there aren't a lot of Roofing Contractors that know Roofing. A Plus Exteriors knows roofing better than all that I've seen and is recognized by the manufacturer as a "Platinum Contractor" which allowed A Plus Exteriors to offer me an astounding 50 year 100% Guarantee on both Materials & Labor that is transferable if I sell the house.
