I recently took the Park Tool class with Cory, and now I have a better understanding of what a bike mechanic legend is. His extensive bicycle knowledge was very apparent as soon as I saw him tinkering with bikes or my bike for that matter. I am extremely grateful that I didn't procrastinate or pass on taking the course. It was a fantastic experience and I was able to swap and upgrade parts on my bike "myself"--with Cory's support. I am honored I was able to do this with assistance from Cory. Since then, I have decided that, as long as circumstances allow, I will always take my bikes to their shop for servicing. I highly recommend both the course and their shop to anyone. You will not regret it.

If I had bought one last year I could sell it used for what I paid it. With inflation it is cheaper to buy now. If the store has one shortcoming it is that it sells out of its best bikes. They do, however, take pre-orders. They also do custom orders and alterations. I believe repairs as well. The owner, Andrew, is an electrical engineer and quite knowledgeable about the wiring and power supply. His wife is a lawyer, so his clear on the laws and freedoms about riding them in bike lanes and such. They can be recharged with a ordinary wall outlet. I had them do a complete service along with putting on new tires and tubes. within a moth of having the new tires, the rear tire came completely apart from the inside out, due to a manufacture defect. they REFUSED to even consider replacing the tire and said they didn't have time to contact the tire manufacture to get it replaced under warranty. Their customer service is HORRIFIC!!!! I took the bike back to Murf. They immediately looked at the tire and said the tire had a manufacture defect. Murf Bikes was so disappointed that I had such a bad experience with Buy My Bikes that they replaced the tube and tire for me. They also gave me other authorized repair facilities to us in the future.

They had a look at my water heater and determined it needed to be replaced. We had been wanting to get a new tankless water heater for quite some time but my husband wanted to wait until we were in need of replacing our current hot water heater tank. Steve gave us a quote for replacing our current 75 gallon water heater with a tankless Navien model that would go in our garage in the same place as our old water heater. The price was fair and we agreed to go with the work. Later that morning Efficient Plumbing ordered our tankless water heater, delivered it, removed our old water heater and installed the new tankless water heater for us. They did an amazing job with all the necessary modifications to make the conversion from tank to tankless and we were thrilled with the end result. We now have endless hot water that we once never had. Efficient Plumbing has once again came to our rescue when we have been in need of a plumber! They are the best plumbers and I will continue working with them on any future projects or improvements that we may need.

This is any homeowners nightmare and I called Efficient Plumbing right away. We have used them for many years and sadly this wasn't our first water leak. Evelin answered the phone and walked me through on how to shut the water off to the house immediately to stop the water damage. Hector came out within the hour and got to work diagnosing our issue. He is knowledgeable and very experienced and we always feel like we are in good hands. Our ceiling was opened and it turned out to be a copper pin hole leak on the water line in the ceiling above the dining room that feeds our master bathroom. Hector skillfully repaired the water leak and also advised us to consider a whole house repipe since this was not our first leak. They gave us their estimate the same day for the whole house repipe and even offered to credit the repairs made with Hector towards the repipe which was a big help. We decided to move forward and had them repipe our whole house the following week. They got it done in one day and everything went great! A few days later the drywall was patched up and we were all done! There are many many plumbers in our area but after years of consistent quality workmanship and customer service, I only use and trust Efficient Plumbing.

Black Rock Bikes is AWESOME! I popped a tire and they fixed it quickly, perfectly, and inexpensively. I talked a long time with the owner, Dan, and was hugely impressed. As other reviews have said, he's very knowledgeable - and, more than that, has a passion for bikes and bike safety. When I first got my Aventon Soltera 7 I had DIFFERENT local bike assemble it and it was a fiasco - the bolt holding on the rear wheel wasn't even tightened! I have an old e-bike with a questionable rear rim and the brakes that were almost gone. The brakes were replaced without any issue., however the rim probably needed to be replaced. They installed new tube and tire but the tire wouldn't completely seat. Black Rock tried three times with different methods and finally solved the installation without me having to spend hundreds of dollars on a new rim, spokes, and existing motor integration. My daughter had a flat tire on her ebike and was in need of new brake pads. Black Rock is one of the few shops around that could perform this repair, and they did it for a reasonable price. Disappointing support from MURF Electric Bikes…read more I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience regarding a premature battery failure on my MURF Electric Bikes e-bike. The bike has only 800 total miles on it and is just 3 months past the standard warranty expiration. For a component as critical and expensive as an e-bike battery, failing after only 800 miles points to a clear manufacturing defect or a faulty Battery Management System (BMS). When the battery stopped working, I took it to an independent local bike shop and spent $50 out of pocket to have it professionally diagnosed. Their conclusion was clear: the battery itself was defective, and my best bet was to take it directly back to the manufacturer, MURF Electric Bikes, at their San Clemente showroom where I originally purchased it. When I reached out to MURF Electric Bikes support, the initial response was highly disappointing. Adhering strictly to the calendar date rather than the incredibly low mileage, they initially only offered a 25% discount on a brand-new replacement battery. After a great deal of back-and-forth and pushback on my part regarding reasonable product lifespan expectations, they finally adjusted their offer to $550 plus tax for a replacement. While I appreciate that they eventually moved on the price, requiring a customer to spend over $550 out of pocket to fix a premium e-bike with only 800 miles on the odometer is unacceptable. A quality lithium-ion battery should easily last several thousand miles. Prospective buyers looking into MURF Electric Bikes should be aware that if a major component fails shortly after the warranty date--even with very minimal use--you may be left holding a significant bill for a replacement.

Managing to stay "in the bubble and outta the box" will determine whether you ride a long time without injury or end up F'd. But mechanical failures can happen and this is where having an expert motorcycle mechanic is essential. Let's face it...it's your ass out there and I learned firsthand that trusting Harley dealership mechanics is akin to playing Russian Roulette. When you pick your bike up after servicing and travel a few miles before returning to the dealership cuz something's wrong...then you understand what I'm saying. My ole '07 Road King Classic needed transmission work...the kind that takes time, money & patience. Getting parts can be a "dog in heat" but ya know what? Pat will make your ride safe and ready to roll without any excuses. Be patient, these folks are in great demand and you may have to wait a bit longer than you'd like but your baby will be dialed in upon completion. You want the best? Go to South County Cycles and forget the rest. Peace of mind is a valuable thing and knowing your bike is in perfect riding condition makes each mile better. Take it from a veteran biker who has seen and heard it all... South County Cycles is always busy because customers never leave. Finding an honest, knowledgeable and experienced mechanic is like finding Bigfoot riding a unicorn. Pat & son set the customer care bar so high, Harley dealerships need to charter a plane just to see it.

Complete indifference to a problem he helped create…read more My experience similar to many below. Called twice before I went to see if he could help me with a bad tube in my fat tire bike. No one answered. When we bought a few hundred dollars of accessories from him for our e bikes he expressed his disdain for fat tire bikes. Since I could get to Kevin's shop with my slow leak I went there. He was just sitting staring at a computer screen. He looked at my bike, made it clear he didn't like it, and said he would check the valve stem. In the process he greatly worsened the crack and the tire lost all air. He attempted to fill it but it wouldn't accept any air. Left with the prospect of pushing my bike home I asked him if he would order the tube (said he doesn't carry fat tire tubes). He said he didn't want to and if he did, it would be at least a week and a half to get to fixing a flat tire. Should he have said if he touched the tube it could lose all the air and be unrideable, I think so. Since he was trying to help me am I ok with what happened. Yes. Not at all ok with him watching me push my bike up the steep hill behind his shop after he let the air out of the tire. This to a local who has spent a few hundred dollars there.
