Earlier this year as a tribute to my late mother, I wanted to get an update from my 2007 Cervelo Carbon Soloist with some money she left me. From the moment I came to the store, the staff (Chelsea and Kristen) knew what I was going through and what I wanted to do. In selecting my new bike they let me know what was available and how it could be modified so that I get the best possible ride. The test rides and accessory selection were fun and exciting. The anticipation was grueling at times, but when it was ready it was all worth it. Since then, I've been well taken care of with tire maintenance and tune-ups. This place is truly a community/family for which I plan to be a part of for many years. I had a couple of bike fit elsewhere in the past, but I was really impressed by Kristen's expertise and by the way she did the bike fit. I think we spent about 50% of the time on biomechanics and 50% on the actual setting of the bike, with the two things being intertwined. My daughter got her training wheels off and my son was outgrowing his bike, so I searched on Yelp for the best rated bike shop nearby and came across Pure Ride Cycles. We came on a busy Saturday and was helped by Kristen, she was very nice, not pushy and gave me great recommendations for my kids. My son's bike needed to be ordered and she promised she'll have it ready in a week and it was ready to go, one week later. My daughter's bike needed some adjustments and they did it all for us before we left. I needed some help raising the stack for my aero bars. I was just looking for some guidance and to possibly schedule some time with their bike shop. Kristin immediately helped me take apart my aero bars, and looked for the appropriate screws to help raise them. I'm so excited now! Evil, the cool guy in the picture, repaired the wheel of my special need kid's jogger. The airline must have hated our heavy jogger and damaged the wheel. The shaft was bent. The jogger was discontinued and I was devastated. I called Pure Ride, but strollers are not included in their business. They rejected me in the beginning but Tim didn't give up on me. On second thought, he asked around and Evil, who is actually an angel, was willing to give it a try. He took the bent shaft out, which is very difficult even with tools, and hammered to straighten it. A new jogger cost $1200, and a used wheel on eBay cost $60, and he only charged me $20 for labor. I recently moved to this area and needed a place to do repairs for my e-trike. On the phone and in the store , they were very friendly. In my opinion, the items that I wanted were very over priced. Paying almost $100 for a tire that only lasts about 700 miles is expensive. I was willing to pay the more expensive price if the quality was there, I don't think the quality was anywhere near what the price was. I won't be back. read more

We wanted to try renting bikes to take on the trail. We didn't expect much but we are experienced riders. Although it appeared good at first as both bikes that we rented were lightweight and comfortable, one of the bikes steering wheel was loose, so when going downhill, it turned on its own, so my partner fell pretty hard. They were very accommodating when we returned the bikes back at the store. But it wasn't fortunate that it happened. They had some good prices on the bikes for sale. Went for a bike fit with Kristen, she was amazing and extremely thourough. My knee discomfort with my new shoes were gone, was able to generate alot more power with the seat raised to the right amount and she even helped tilt my saddle for maximum comfort. Picked up a few bikes today from this great bike shop! I'll have to say, I've been to a few shops but never had the customer service these girls provided! They took each family member one on one. Asked them where they like to ride: dirt, sand, street, hills or mountains. Then brought out bikes for each person to try and switch to feel them out. Then they measured us up and spent time getting the bikes ready to go. Totally impressed! Will definitely go back and recommend to all I know!
