If you think you want an electronic bike here is where you can touch and ride them to be certain how it feels when you arr on it. Atmosphere: 4 stars. Place is a little crowded with bikes but it is clean. Service: 5 star. Management is very knowledgeable about the bikes and rules around them. Value: 5 stars. If I had bought one last year I could sell it used for what I paid it. With inflation it is cheaper to buy now. If the store has one shortcoming it is that it sells out of its best bikes. They do, however, take pre-orders. They also do custom orders and alterations. I believe repairs as well. The owner, Andrew, is an electrical engineer and quite knowledgeable about the wiring and power supply. His wife is a lawyer, so his clear on the laws and freedoms about riding them in bike lanes and such. They can be recharged with a ordinary wall outlet. What a wonderful bike shop!!! I was looking for a mountain bike but living in this hilly area in the summertime, I started considering an e-bike for the uphill assist. Andrew was so extremely helpful and friendly! I've never touched an e-bike til I came here and he showed me the ropes! After a test ride, I was hooked and placed an order for my first e-bike. This is a great shop for your E-bike needs. We came looking for a Thousand bike helmet as it was the closest store, to us, that sells them. What a gem find this was. Since I wasn't sure what size I needed, it was helpful to know Andrew, the owner, had each size available to try on. He also provides a little head sock to wear prior to placing the helmet on, just for sanitizing reasons. I appreciated that extra area of caution. Found the right size but then choosing the right color was tough. This store carries so many different colors of the thousand helmet that it took me a bit of time. Andrew was so patient with all my questions and has done so much research into the E-bike lines that if you don't know the answer, he does. As an engineer by trade, he took great lengths to find just the right products to open up his shop. Don't have the time or desire to do a deep dive into what E-bike is right for you? This place has hands down the best customer service. They will do test rides, they will work on bikes that they sell in store. While I was there today the owner took the time to give a guy directions to an unrelated business and also gave someone on the phone the name of a mechanic who could help them with a bike they have that is not a brand sold at Beyond. So that just tells you what kind of guy this is. They sell their bikes for the SAME price as the manufacturer, yet they're not parts in a box. Their mechanics put the bikes together for you. That saves you an afternoon of frustration, for the same price you would pay the manufacturer. Look up what it costs to have someone put together an eBike for you and you'd be unpleasantly surprised. And you know that Beyond put it together right. The brake rotors are properly aligned, etc. They sell Aventon, Monday Motorbikes, scooters, etc. Most importantly they are the ONLY place in OC that I know of that sells Onyx motorbikes. They even ride with the guys from Onyx. The Onyx RCR is one of the best eBikes around, I have one. Don't pay $300 extra in shipping or drive to LAX area to get it from Onyx when you can buy it from Beyond Bikes in your neighborhood for the same price. They have the 41ah battery RCRs, they have black side panels or aluminum. Do it! Onyx at Beyond! read more
