    Evil Jungle Princess!

PP Thai is a must-try in Downtown Mesa! Over the years, I have had A LOT of Thai food, including some of the "best" at some The Evil Jungle Princess dish is the absolute best Thai dish I have ever had! I didn't actually see any sushi on the menu, but that's ok because I would order the Evil Jungle Princess again... and also can't wait to try their selection of curry dishes! The staff was incredibly friendly and informative, which was very much appreciated! Overall rating: *****FIVE STARS***** Gluten-free rating: *****FIVE STARS*****

Another delicious meal at this lovely restaurant! (Formerly Nunthaporn but they haven't had a chance to update the sign yet but the address and phone number are the same) I asked Joe, the head chef, to surprise me with something off the menu (for now) and he came back with this DELICOUS dish: 1. Yum vun sen, a glass noodle salad with shrimp (if you want other protein, I am sure he can accommodate). This is a cold dish, like a salad, quite a favorite amongst Thai folks. The flavor is a mixture of savory/unami, lightly sweet, a little tart and the heat is made to order. This combination is the true foundation of most Thai Yums (salad) and boy, it was YUMMY!! (see what I did there?? lol). We almost licked the plate clean! If you want to try authentic Thai salads/Yums, ask for this item. The flavors is deeply unami and so refreshing! We also had the following: 2. Seafood with pepper sauce (gluten free): baby scallop, mussels, shrimp, calamari, onion with the pepper sauce. The pepper sauce is made from scratch, gluten free and simmered for 4 hours. It was the best I have had! I was not too proud to not scraped the sauce onto my rice till it was practically clean! 2. Miso soup: flavor is on point! 3. Duck in curry sauce: slices of duck with a bed of diced pineapple, red and green peppers, and mushrooms. The sweet and sour of the veggies and mushrooms really paired well with the curry sauce and the succulent duck. 4. combo chicken and shrimp fried rice and it was delicious as well! It was moist, not greasy and flavors were on point with all the nice veggies We finished the meal with a mango and coconut ice cream. The Mango is more a shebert and the coconut ice cream was creamy. Out of the two, I loved the coconut ice cream the best! I even asked for an extra scoop cuz I inhaled the first scoop in no time! lol Happy with another excellent meal here and the friendly, outstanding services!

This place is incredible. I've eaten here 3x and each time the food was amazing. Saturday night I tried the teriyaki chicken and I've never had better (they make it in house) I've traveled all over Asia and this is the best Thai food I've had in the U.S.

A hidden gem! We are so glad we found this restaurant. I have nothing but good things to say the food was delicious, service was great and felt a warm welcome. I tried the drunken noodles with shrimp and Lamp Chops. They also have so many gluten friendly options. Highly recommend!

When I walked in a was greater promptly by Anthony who was also my server. Anthony appeared to be the only server at the time and the lunch rush was coming in. Despite this, he tended to his tables well and I had a great experience. He provided recommendations and was clearly knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the salted edamame and teriyaki chicken. DELICIOUS! The food came out quickly but it didn't lack flavor. Very good! There's both indoor and outdoor seating available.

Nice ambiance and super clean Thai restaurant. Service was top - notch! I was recommended to try the Crab Fried Rice... Amazing! I also had the Thai dumplings and the green curry which were both amazing as well . 10/10! I ended up ordering the Mango sweet sticky rice for dessert and so glad I did, YUM! Chef Joe came out to check on my food which was such a nice surprise. Found out he is also a Sushi Chef and they are adding a sushi menu in the near future. Cannot wait to go back!

    Jungle princess- unique, delicious dish!

The restaurant changed ownership. Menu has some changes and the prices are a little higher. Is what it is I guess.

We grabbed a private table near the window to enjoy the sunset. We ordered the Papaya salad as an appetizer to share, my friend had the Tom Yum soup as an entree and I had the Green Curry spicy. The salad and soup were ordered medium heat. We had water with lemon and shared a Asahi beer. The Papaya salad was delicious, fresh and had a little heat. The Tom Yum soup was excellent, creamy, wonderful coconut and lemon grass flavors. The Green Curry was one of the best curry dishes I've ever had. Deep and complex flavors, creamy coconut offset the heat perfectly. The atmosphere was causal and relaxed. The server was friendly and helpful in answering a few questions we had about the menu. Never had to ask for water refills as service was very prompt. We look forward to returning very soon. Highly recommended for excellent Thai cuisine with bold flavors!

We've tried so many dishes, including the spicy Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Spring Rolls, Gai Tod, Kanoom Jeeb, Shrimp Summer Rolls, Tom Kha, and Drunken Noodles, and I honestly haven't had a bad dish yet. Everything is consistently flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Mae-Khong has become a favorite, and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

5/29/26 Back to enjoy a repeat of my last visit…read more Parking 5/5 Arrived ~7 pm and there was parking available near the entrance. Ambiance 5/5 This is a nice Thai quaint restaurant with a nicely decorated dining room with Cultural pieces throughout. Service 5/5++ Dinner service was provided again by Moo. What's amazing is her immediate recognition of me and my last order. I have memory envy. Moo got things rolling with Ice Tea. The starter was their rice paper spring rolls (salad rolls) which come as four servings with a nice peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. As mentioned in my previous review, these are amazing delicious because they are made fresh with thinly sliced cucumber, carrot, sprouts, fresh mint, cilantro and spring mix with a choice of protein. I always have them made with shrimp. Pro-tip challenge Try eating just one serving! Entrees ordered Pad Kee Moa (drunken noodles) Thai Hot! Pork Jerky, nicely seasoned with Thai seasoning and Sriracha sauce reduction. Served with a crispy outer crust and tender pork center. This came with another delicious dipping sauce, bravo! Food10/5 Chef Tom continues to deliver a very fresh culinary experience. I have six or so semi regular Thai restaurants I visit, but Chef Tom offers some noteworthy standout dishes with excellent table service. Get your fresh on my Friends-SYOY!

But I will have to mention…read morethis cause I'm not to happy about what had happened to me and I feel as it's only fair to share this. I wanted Thai patio for lunch today (7/10/26) cause I just recently lost my pet a few days ago and I currently am going through family issues so I wanted their food cause it's comfort food and always cheer me up, so I decided to place a order with them today over the phone like how I always do. When I called, an employee answered the phone, and I can tell it wasn't my usual employees that always takes my call so I answered extra nice and friendly. I said I wanted the lunch special pad siew and 2 spring rolls, the guy (never got his name), said "okay sounds good, is that all for you?" I said, "yes". So I waited the 20 mins as instructed, and when I got there, I noticed that my bag of food is bigger than usual. There is 2 small containers of spring rolls (4 of them total) and a bigger size of the pad siew. I saw the total and it came out to $33, when it should've been around $18-20. I did explain that I did place an order for the lunch special and only 2 spring rolls but the employee told me that I won't be able to get a refund but I could a free spring roll. Look, I completely get it that it's his first day, I've been there. I've worked at McDonald's, Taco Bell, raising canes, and restaurants. I get it, and I understand. But, it is upsetting that this one time, I didn't get my food the way I always do. I'm not mad but I am upset, still going to continue to come here but just praying that this won't happen again :/

We ordered the egg rolls (5 mini ones). They were fried dark brown with a watery sweet sauce. Very odd. We got pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. The rice was not fried..: it was mushy. Only a couple cashews and a couple raisins. It was a very dark yet bright unnatural yellow. It tasted buttery. The pad Thai was fair. Smaller portion as compared up other places. It was ok, but we probably won't be back. Out bill was $50 + tip...
