This is a disappointing review to write considering I had used Michael two other times. My boss wanted to get the carpets cleaned in the office so I referred PQ Carpet to my office manager. She spoke to Michael and booked the appointment. He pulled a no show. This was upsetting considering we had got our staff to clear the floor and prepare for the weekend along with keeping a staff member on late Friday to wait for him. Additionally, we had an important company coming in to videotape the office, so, my boss had to step in, look for a new carpet guy and get them in on the fly spending more money for the last minute appointment. I did see his reviews in the past year have not been stellar like they used to be, but, thought maybe it was a fluke. Michael, I think it may be time to retire. I don't give recommendations out freely and this was embarrassing. read more

Michael is a really good guy. He had a big project before my house so he wound up coming about an hour late. Usually, I'd be very annoyed with this, but but my tongue because he notified me by phone and honestly has one of the most competitive rates I've found so far. He's a friendly guy who likes to converse, which is off putting to some, but I found it pleasant. He got a lot of the weird little spots that the previous tenants had gotten into the carpet and helped us figure out what to do with the more serious stains and burns. The formula he uses really is low-moisture, so it dried relatively quickly and didn't feel sticky. In spite of the low-moisture, you could tell the carpet was cleaner by looking at it, so I wasn't concerned about that. Mike sent me a digital receipt for the cash transaction as I had requested and I have no complaints about the service. read more

Michael was pleasant and did good work. He told my wife a price but she did not have her checkbook so I grabbed mine. He gave me the price and I wrote a check....Fast forward to the next day where he called my wife and said he misquoted and we owed him an additional $75. I called and spoke to him and told him to put himself in my shoes. You do the job and we pay you what you told both of us what the price is but now we didn't pay you enough. Just a poor ending to the experience and I offered to split the difference to be done with it. I would not recommend and would be interested to hear if anyone had a similar experience regarding a sudden price increase AFTER original payment. :( read more

I called PQ Carpet Cleaning for my 92 year old neighbor as she wanted to get her carpets cleaned. We talked to Micheal, the owner of the company who was extremely accommodating and professional over the phone. He showed up on time and was very nice. He explained the products and process so we would know exactly what he was going to do. When he was done the carpets looked amazing. Worst cleaning carpet ever! This guy not only did the worst job ever (left all the dirt on the carpet) but ruined my just painted walls, and even scratched the wooden floors with his machine. Michael came to my place, saw the carpet that needed to be cleaned, gave me a price, and at the end increased the price 40% stating that his average fee was $165 per hour. I would not have problem with the fee if the carpet have been cleaned properly and my walls and floor was not damage. Not a recomendable person! read more

. We arrived to Savannah on Tuesday- the they provided us with is BEAUTIFUL- way bigger and prettier than we've ever had, somethin by". We have SOOO many paper towels and more sweets we were excited to start getting it cozy with our things. We called the moving company expecting our things to be there on Wednesday and they said it could be another 23 days until our things arrive!! 23 days! I felt sick. I remembered Paul's admonishment of having food a clothing to therewith be content and those are at we have, praise God, but I was SUPER and upset at the moving company. It has been so cool how God has been using this for good though. My phone has been continually buzzing with texts and calls from church people who want to help and people have been stopping in just to "drop somethin by". We have SOOO many paper towels and more sweets than we know what to do with, but it has been great getting to know some of the folks and seeing Gods provision through them. To God be the glory. Please pray as we still our without OUR stuff and Adjusting to 3 kids has not been a walk in the park for me. Don't fall for the "agitation" carpet cleaning. They don't remove any dirt, just rub it in. I paid them $250 to clean my rental move out and it smelled so bad afterwards that my landlord had to hire another company (for another $250 out of my deposit) to clean it again. read more

I will never call PQ Carpet Cleaning again. I had called to set up an appointment to have Michael come out the day before Thanksgiving. He was a no show. It took him over 2 hours to finally call me to tell me that he wasn't coming. Stated that he forgot his appointment book at home that had my address. Then he said that he tried calling his wife to have her give him the address but she wasn't home. Said that he tried to text me but the text wouldn't go through. If he had forgot his book at home, why not call me when you know the general area that I live in? He called about 30 minutes before he was suppose to show up asking for my address again. I gave it to him with specific directions on how to get to my place since I live in a condo complex. He claims that he has clients in the my complex but said that he tried to google for directions, they were no where close to my place. He rescheduled me for the day after Thanksgiving to come back and clean. Again, he shows up 30 minutes late and has less an hour to clean my carpets before he had to be an another appointment in Mission Valley. My carpets do look better but I believe they would look better if he wasn't in such a rush to clean my carpets to get to his next appointment. When I paid him, he took my money and left without apologizing for being late and rescheduling. He just pocketed the money and grabbed his stuff and left. Will not recommend this place to anyone and let alone have him come back to clean my carpets. read more

This review IS LONG OVERDUE!!! Michael and PQ Carpet Cleaning ARE THE BOMB!!! I was house sitting for my boyfriend and we had just moved the renters out. The carpets were UNBELIEVABLY DIRTY!! We pretty much figured the carpets hadn't been cleaned in at least 10 years! I had people coming over that afternoon and the cleaners I scheduled an appointment with were NO SHOWS 3 TIMES!! I called Michael in a panic because we were living in PQ and I figured he must be close. I didn't know PQ also meant "pretty darn quick." Michael actually MOVED CLIENTS around so that he could clean our carpets and they looked amazing!! There were still stains but that wasn't his fault..that was over 10 years of kids and dog traffic! Found PQ carpet cleaning thru Yelp and Michael the owner and operator did an outstanding job on cleaning 3 areas in my house. I liked his method of cleaning carpet, it really draws out the dirt and uses very small amount of liquid, making the area in about an hour and half walkable. Michael/the owner was very accommodating, and managed to make it out the SAME day I phoned, arriving promptly the same afternoon. He gave me the honest scoop about my carpets, which I appreciated, and worked quickly, price was very fair, no switcheroo tactics or upsell. Michael came in on time and was very efficient in setting his equipment. He finished all of my area rugs and the upstairs carpet within the time that he estimated. I was very happy with the results. Three little stains appeared later and he came in and retreated the areas again. My carpet looks beautiful! I would highly recommend this company. I had Michael come clean our white carpets in June. I have had several different carpet cleaners clean my carpets and I must say Michael did the best job. In simple words, I had to vaccum my carpet immediately after they said it had been cleaned! all the stains & dark spots as is! I have never written a poor Yelp review before but this guy deserves a review to warn others!! Worst company!! Worst carpet clean and awful professionalism. This guy is a con man. He has outdated equipment, over charges, and has a crap attitude. I had a recent pet stain accident and all he did was agitate it and drive it deeper into the carpet instead of extracting it with his antiquated equipment. I also had him clean my upholstered chairs and he got them about 2% cleaner. When I called him the day after to tell him that the chairs looked exactly the same as did before he cleaned them, he said "well I can't make everyone happy and I'm just not going to please you." And refused to redo the job. Not to mention he charged me $150 for the carpet and $100 for the chairs, rip off! I called Sears and they came out same day with their updated equipment and got the pet stain RIGHT OUT and cleaned the chairs to perfection and they charged me $108 for the WHOLE JOB!! Do not use this guy, there are so many better companies out there! You will be disappointed. read more

As a Real Estate Company owner I find some homes are in need of cleaning when new clients move in. He always does a fantastic job giving me happy home owners. I have rental property and I don't believe that the tenant who recently moved out cleaned the place in the 3 years that he lived there. The carpets were filthy and stained and I thought they would need replacing. A colleague told me to try PQ Carpet Cleaning before replacing them. I gave them a call and Michael came out this past weekend on very short notice and worked wonders. I left to run an errand when he started cleaning and when I returned the carpets looked new and the stains (spots) were gone. His price was reasonable and he was very professional.
