I randomly just found this company on yelp after calling several companies . I had a water leak in my kitchen and wasn't sure who to trust! . George from PRC came over right away and instantly felt comfortable with him out of everybody I had met with. He was honest he was cool. He explained everything to me gave me options and even gave me a better price than everybody else. He was very communicative always responding right away and super good energy. They did an amazing job with the water mitigation services and after they were done I decided to use their construction team for rebuilding after the demo . He went back on his word. We are seniors in our 70's and they taken advantage of us. His manager Ricardo Casa did not believe a word we said. DO NOT use this company PRC Restoration and Construction. There are FAKE reviews on here I had a very negative experience with the quality of their work and their employees. After many phone calls with their office, I wanted to just forget about my experience with PRC but came on Yelp to leave a negative review. Only to find that someone else posted a 5 star review but using photos of my bathroom. The review right before mine on this page, posted by Cesar R. is using photos of my bathroom to increase the ratings of this company's yell page. . I have a photo of my bathroom attached here in a different angle and also a screenshot of Cesar R.'s review in case it is deleted. THEY ARE FAKING POSITIVE REVIEWS. For the actual work they performed, I was referred to them by a plumber after there was a leak in my bathroom that caused water damage to my walls and bathroom floor. Their costs for the work they did was too much but I decided to go with them because they had the soonest availability at the time. I regret not waiting it out and using someone else. The project manager Jaime, who I met in person, verbally promised me they would restore the structure of my house and do anything they can to mitigate any risk of potential mold anywhere else. After their 3 days of work, I can confidently say that they did not hold up to their promise. They told me over the phone that based on the contract that I signed with them that the work was completed. I know they did not do a good job simply for the fact that when I went to inspect the "completed" work myself, there was still standing water that collected at the bottom of the exploratory hole that my plumber made to find the leak. They tried to say that the standing water there was either happened after they completed the job or that it isn't part of their scope of work. The leak is definitely sealed off, this was confirmed by at least 3 other contractors. And drying out the structure is definitely part of the scope of work that I signed in my contract. They tried to convince me that the area that the standing area is in is not part of the structure but regardless I was promised mitigation of any potential risk of mold and that simply did not happen if there is a collection of water just sitting there. There is a lot more to this horror story but I don't want to make this review too long. Long story short - - I was overcharged for incomplete work. There was zero communication on what work was being done, even when requested. Someone is using photos of my bathroom to post a fake 5 star review. They do not care about about solving the customers problems, they just want to scam you for your money. UNETHICAL AND INCOMPETENT - That's my tl;dr in case my review goes too long for you, I hadn't left a review, because I heard they came after people who left negative yelp reviews but now I'm seeing their trucks out on the road as the January 2025 wildfires still rage. I don't want anyone else falling victim to them. I had a serious water issue and had to make an emergency call. They came out and took down my insurance information, took out a few pieces of drywall, taped off the room and left a machine that takes water out of the air. Then they disappeared, they didn't answer texts, emails or phone calls. After a week, they snuck in and took the machine away and still never called me. I contacted four of the people who gave one star reviews and was told the same thing happened to them. Then their insurance company received a big bill they won't pay, PRC offers a lower bill which most of them pay out of pocket because they're now desperate to get the work done. Later they were threatened by PRC after they left a negative yelp review. Well, lo and behold I get a call from my insurance company asking if the message they got from PRC is legit, they sent them a huge bill without any evidence of damage (which any competent/ethical restoration company would know and do). I leave a message with PRC saying insurance won't pay and I don't have that kind of money. Well that got their attention, they finally return the call. They tell me not to worry, that I should argue with my insurance company and they'll give in. PRC tells me they'll charge me less to make it easier. I tell them that that's exactly what some of the one-star reviews said would happen. They tell me that I can't believe anything on yelp, that "it's the wild, wild west." Well, they were literally doing that exact thing to me, so I'm pretty sure it's believable. They tell me I need to settle it with my insurance company and hang up on me. Then I get a copy of the bill in the mail for the demo work with a blanket cost with none of the breakdowns of what exactly the charges are for. I call again and leave a message saying I won't pay unless someone talks to me. Again, the thought that they won't get paid actually gets their attention and they call back. I ask them to explain the bill. There's nothing that specifies how they got to that number. Whether it is for work hours, supplies, the machine rental, inspections, anything. Honestly it would have been pretty easy for them to do, their guys were here for maybe two hours, they used a couple rolls of painters tape and a roll of plastic. He tells me they aren't required to give me any of that information. I'm told that I need to call my insurance company and he hangs up on me again. The insurance company won't help, so like some of the other one-star reviewers, I give in and pay out of pocket. Two days later I get an email asking for confirmation for the repair portion of the work that was agreed upon. I never even talked to them about the repair portion, we were still trying to settle the demo bill. This time they actually had a small breakdown of what they were planning on doing. There was pricing for replacing the drywall, some wood and painting but nothing of what caused the leak and what they needed to repair to keep it from happening again. Are they replacing a pipe, repairing a hole, what caused it? I reply saying I need to know what they're actually going to repair instead of just covering it up. It's completely illogical not to address the actual issue. I also tell them that I won't pay anything until I get confirmation that my debt up until that point was paid in full. A few days later I get a copy of the bill in the mail with the word "PAID" scribbled on it. I never did get a reason for what was going to get repaired so the leak didn't cause damage again. I literally never heard from them again. I didn't bother chasing them down again. I just found someone else, they charged less for the repairs than I would have paid to PRC. The new contractor's estimate also included replacing a piece of moist drywall that PRC didn't take out and a light that the water damage had shortened out. PRC seemed to have missed that as well. When I said at the beginning of this review that they were incompetent, this is part of it. Not only were they unable to document the damage properly, return calls in a timely manner or answer my questions, but the demo work they did do wasn't even done properly. If everything goes as the other one-star reviewers say it will, PRC will now threaten me with a lawsuit. Well, I have documentation. From my insurance company and the company that fixed PRC's blunders. Plus, some of those other one-star reviews are still salty about how they were treated and would gladly testify for me. I'm more than willing to counter-sue for the money I did pay. That moist drywall they left would have been a breeding ground for mold. That light fixture that shorted out could have caused a fire. read more

We discovered a huge wet spot running down our inside garage wall behind the water heater and mold too! Hector B. And Giovanni R. And Alexander M. Came out the same day and answered all of our questions and told us how the process worked in terms of cutting the wall, tracing the leak, coordinating with our plumber and reconstruction of the wall. These guys were recommended by someone we know and we decided to go with them after we got our quote. Hector B and Giovanni R. and Alex M. even helped us work out the thought process about whether or not it was worth it to use our home insurance or to go out of pocket for this relatively small job. They were very accessible and responsive to any questions we have had and are just great to work with. We are very picky about people we let into our home and we would not hesitate to use PRC again with Hector, Gio, and Alex. read more

I had a water heater burst thrusting water into the garage walls doing severe damage to the garage walls. I posted a review previously on the team (Sergio and other associates) that came out to preview the damage and immediately got to work removing the drywall and drying the moisture in the air which took place for almost a week. They were very professional, thorough, detailed oriented and great communicators. The work completed was awesome. They cleaned up all debris they pulled from the wall and discarded it. This current review is for the team (Ricardo and associate) that came out to REPLACE the drywall that was removed from the water damage. Again very professional, thorough, detailed oriented and excellent in communicating what was going on. The work was completed beyond what was expected. Came out right away when we had a hot water pipe leaking into the wall. Laid down extensive protective materials to protect our floors and wore booties and masks. Edgar and Alex were awesome! Quickly worked to remove damaged wall sections and insulation, and chase down the leak and got it stopped until permanent repair could be performed by a plumber. Set up dryers and dehumidifiers that took a few days to dry out our wall studs and stringers and cleaned up everything really well. Repair estimate is comparable to insurance estimate as well. Our experience with PRC Restoration started off fine. Initially, PRC responded quickly & effectively but during mitigation of our bathroom leak one of their employees caused additional damage to our outside stucco. This was addressed & was supposed to be repaired. PRC has failed to schedule a date & time to repair their damage to our home. If you want a company who sends people who don't know how to do the install and rebuild work. This is the company for you. After 6 months and more than 10,000 dlls. We got a bathroom that leaks and not properly installed or sealed. Big gaps and holes left for water to go into our walls. One week later and I have open lips on the edges of the inside of the stand up shower. The walls are peeling off at the seams and lifting up on the corners. Right side of Corner of shower spits water at the toilet. That's how badly sealed it is. Ricardo who did the install on his first day showed me he had no idea. He asked me to call a plumber and have my sewer moved for the stand up shower. He stated no standard shower would Fit unless the sewer was moved. 2 min later he declared he was going to home depot to see if he could find something like a fitting to make it work. read more

I am a Landlord / Property Manager for a personal real estate portfolio. So I have seen my share of emergency events and perils. In this case, two of my apart MH flooded and PRC handled in such an extraordinary and professional manner, I'm still wondering blow they did it. I called PRC and Sergio the Project Mgr, came after hours and stayed with me until the Plumber was finished after midnight. They started immediately next day two trucks and more man power came and came daily, until the emergency phase was completed. The Insurance company even commented on how well the job was completed and how they were able to salvage material items. Running/overflowing toilet upstairs for at least 30 minutes caused major water leakage to the downstairs affecting the floors, walls, ceiling, carpet and laminate requiring major remediation/drying for days etc as well as shampooing carpets. We had a major leak in the wall that caused water damage to one of the bathrooms and the master bedroom. We called PRC immediately and they responded very quickly. We had a few hiccups with the homeowners insurance but Alberto Oliva and his assistant Memory Barrios walked us through all of the issues with ease. While we were having the repairs done we decided to replace all of the old carpet in the house (an upgrade). This change required Alberto's team to coordinate with the flooring contractor so the work flowed properly. No problem for Alberto! We really appreciated that!! Then on the final day of installation we worked with two of the best guys on the PRC team. Christian Cervantes and Joel Jimenez should be given several pats on the back for their above and beyond customer service. There was some confusion on the new bathroom faucet that was going in, but Christian and Joel took it all in stride and made sure we were completely satisfied the the outcome. Turns out it was all due to an error on Home Depot's website! There were several other PRC team members who came out to our house to work, and while I didn't write down their names I just want to say they were ALL very polite and concerned that our job turned out just the way we wanted it. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Reasons why: 1. They lead you astray with getting you to believe that the damage is something your insurance covers and the they will work with the insurance company. 2.They don't give any form of written estimates and explode the invoice bill to over double and half of the verbal estimate. 3. You ultimately get stuck paying cuz insurance won't cover anything. 4. They have you sign forms stating you can't sue them and if you do, you pay their attorney fees. 5. They definitely charged me $2.50 per hour for a safety attendant that couldn't of preformed his non entry rescue duty if necessary. 6. The Yelp page and they're website state they're 24/7, don't be fooled. They'll charge you 'after hours' rate. 7. If a plumber recommends this company directly and to a person specifically, get another plumber. I guess one plus is that after the outrageous bill, if the insurance doesn't pay, they'll be real kind and give you a 20% discount. Highly recommend to read the other reviews! read more

READ THIS BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY: I had a minor leak in my kitchen and the drywall and wood floor got soaked and needed removal. They had given me a spoken estimate of 5-6k to remove floors/drywall and dry the area(This is at least 2-3x what this job would cost but they say the machines are expensive to run and I was in a rush, so I did it). They only removed what was wet (basically half of the demo). They said they only get paid to remove what is wet. They did two days of demo and had the machines running for 4 days. I already knew I got hustled that moment because they did half the work for basically 2-3x the pay. I got my bill today. They charged me 10.5k. read more

I wanted to leave a 5-star review, but long story short----the in-person crew did a great job, and the office crew ruined it. After testing, they removed the damaged material. Then the office did not respond for two weeks. After final walk-through, only minor cleanup was to be scheduled. No response from the office for two weeks...again. They offered a very articulate explanation that basically translated to "oops." Then, as the cleanup crew was working, someone from the office called and asked for immediate payment of the invoice. Given their own delays, this was both irritating and borderline insulting. Translation: when it's their turn to act, they do it when they feel like it, but when it's the customer's turn to act, they want it done immediately. After figuring this out, I was no longer in a rush to respond to them. There are more things I could list, but it's so ironic since the work was done well. Feel free to use PRC but at least know what you're getting into. My guess---the office crew is so nonchalant and careless because they never have to see you in person. read more

Woke up on Thursday morning to find a buckles floor. Fortunately I was refer to PRC by a plumbing company. My craw-space was flooded and half of my family room got water damaged. Hector came out right away on the same day. He is the project manager very professional and informative. He handles everything for me from Allstate insurance claims to step by step process of what to do. After 19 years living at this house nothing like this ever happen to me so it was very overwhelming experience especially during the COVID pandemic. He brought along awesome crews with him Alexander M and Giovanni R. Both men are courteous, professional, knowledgeable and super clean. They measured the humidity levels in the living rooms with their professional equipment and did the demo and cover up their work space. After 5 hrs of demo, drying, sanitized 4 by 4 wood structure and removed the damaged hardwood floors. Their professionalism show. They did an awesome job everything came out perfect. No dust no mess to be found unbelievable. I did a lot of remodeling to the house and these guys are the dream team. Thank you guys for your hard work I really appreciated your professionalism. If possible I'd give this company not even 1 star!!! Extremely unprofessional and expensive. They avoid talking about the cost of anything until you get a $5000 bill in the mail and guess what, it's due in two weeks. Dont accept the pack out service, got charged $1300 for one day of storing my appliances. They break things and dont replace them. The girls in the office are always on lunch, break, or just never return your calls. I will never recommend this company to anyone. read more
