Just picked up my truck today and I must say, I was very impressed with the craftsmanship this company has! My truck was in a huge fender bender on April 8th, 2016. I was convinced my insurance would total it just by 1st glance. Mike at this shop reassured me that the truck is in good hands and will be just how I had it before the accident. I was skeptical at 1st because ...just like all of you...I read reviews. I decided to give them the chance since my insurance company recommended them and most reviews here have been good ones. Let's start with the staff: friendly, honest and know your vehicle is a huge part of your life. The communication is on point! They promised to have my truck ready in exactly 1 month and they sure did! Mike is a truly honest guy and went thru every detail what he's repaired. He gave a few suggestions along the way when my truck was 1st delivered and gave me options (which very few shops do) on repairs. I optioned to take his word and when I picked up my truck today...it felt like I just bought the truck off the Nissan lot!!! Truly impressed, truly grateful and truly amazed at this shop! Walking thru the shop can tell you the kind of business they run: beautiful cars, trucks, SUVs from Lexus to Audis, Mercedes-Benz. ...u name it... they had them there with at least 2 or more technicians working simultaneously taking extra care of these vehicles. We come home after thanksgiving vacation and we find our car was broken into. Frustrating enough our personal belongings used for work were stolen. My car was recently hit, and the insurance company recommended Precision. The bad: -Claimed the service and repairs would be done in 25 days, it was eventually completed in 32 days. -Left one dent. -Left warped door trimming. -Left excessive paint residue on door. -Lied, claiming higher temperature days would fix the rubber trimming. -Lied, claiming paint and repairs were done and only required wheel alignment, but upon visiting unannouncedly the next day it was found disassembled with visible broken parts. -Door still requires harder than usual force to shut completely. The good: -Amicable staff at the counter. -Fixed the dent, door trimming, and cleaned the visible paint residue after voicing complaints. -Car runs as it did before the accident. -Provided $100 discount for service delay. Final thoughts: Precision seems to mean well, so I believe the business will become more reputable after they hire more mechanics, practice being more honest and transparent, and keep open the lines of communication with their clients. read more

If you have the choice, go somewhere else. I chose Precise because my insurance company (Mercury) said they were a preferred vendor. Although they said I had a choice to choose any other shop for my repair - something I think they legally had to say - they told me that it may take a lot longer because the other shops would need to be "approved" by Mercury and something about work not being "guaranteed" if I went elsewhere. Newsflash: most auto body shops "guarantee" their work or they'd be out of business in this age of Yelp. As I didn't want to wait any further, I obliged, since it seemed that Mercury implied that there were going to be roadblocks with other shops. Even though Precise quoted me a week longer than other places, I still felt I had to use them because of the possible delays with approvals from other shops (see above). Anyway, after picking up my car, I noticed that the section they "fixed" was not great/like new. There was still a "nick" on the bumper/panel section they replaced and painted. Supposedly both sections were supposed to be new parts. After notifying the manager, he said he would fix this section again. Now mind you, I didn't have my car for over a month (due to delays by Mercury and the shop quote), so I had to get a rental car that mostly came out-of-pocket. Would I be willing to leave my car again and pay for another rental because the shop didn't fix it the first time (after having it a week longer than most shops would have)? I didn't think so. Not the best work by an auto body shop. So like I said, if you have the time and your insurance suggest this place, definitely bring it elsewhere that will pay more attention to their work and not just fulfill their insurance repair contracts. read more

I do not understand these reviews. I had to take my car back a total of three times and it still wasn't fixed properly. I just decided to live with the crappy job instead of trying to get them to fix my car (for the fourth time). This is the shadiest collision repair spot I have ever been to. Completely untrustworthy. Mike and the guys at Precise are all very nice and super polite. The problem is, I don't go to an Auto Body Shop to talk to a bunch of nice guys - I go there to get my car repaired. In this case, my insurance company didn't total my Accord, they just decided to pay more than $9000 to get it "fixed". After the car spent a month in the shop at Precise, I went to pick it up. I was in a rush to finally have it back, and drove home after a cursory look over. Sure, I probably should have looked closer - but at the end of the day, I shouldn't have to. They should ensure it's good to go. But over the next few days/weeks I noticed a laundry list of badly put together or poorly repaired stuff. Here we go: 1. Rubber trim around front doors/headliner was poorly seated. 2. Headlights were out of adjustment. 3. Seats were dirty. 4. Rear pillar garnish had gaps and was loose. 5. Passenger's sunshade falls off if you move it to the side (tabs are worn). 6. Chrome outside trim around driver's side window does not line up properly. I brought it back to get some of that stuff worked on (1-4), but other items didn't really start popping up or being noticed until weeks later - and it's obvious that it's due to the nature of the work that was done. This was all the result of their poor workmanship. I cannot recommend Precise to anyone because of this experience. I know there are a lot of good reviews on here, and maybe it's just because of what was actually done - but I am not going back. I was sent here by infinity insurance because their client rear ended my car. When I came into the office and told them I had an appointment, they told me I was not on their list. The person helping me was not very friendly at all and did not give me any further details. After waiting, the lady was finally ready to take photographs of my car. As she inspected my car, she was telling me the damages from my car didn't come from my accident. In my mind I was thinking, why was I sent here in the first place then. It kind of made me feel incompetent, as if my car accident did not even happen. Would not recommend her. After her inspection she gave me her estimate and It was almost half the total of the estimate from my insurance company. I don't know why there was such a big difference, unless she is just trying to keep the cost down for the other parties insurance. It also didn't help that during this whole time, another customer came in for an estimate as well after me and finished the whole process before me. It only took that other customer about 15 minutes, where I was was there for about 45 mins. My dad brought my brother's car here before a couple of years a go to get fixed and they were great. I was rear-ended by a semi. It sucked big ones, but I'm fine. My insurance company sent me here to get photos taken and get an estimate on the damage. When I called to make an appointment they said, "Just come on in whenever you're ready. It won't take more than five minutes." She wasn't kidding. As soon as I pulled up, I was greeted by two kind men. They asked a few questions and got to work right away. One of them gave me some good advice and even called the CHP for me to check on the status of my report! When I was leaving, backing out looked like it was going to be difficult but one of their employees took the time to be my traffic cop. Start to finish, I had attentive, quick and kind service. Like an idiot, a few weeks ago I bumped into another driver and caused a small fender bender. Begrudgingly through my car insurance requirements, I took my vehicle to Precise Auto Body on Pico. At first the facade is a little disconcerting. It's a small auto body shop with a skewed tiny driveway and cars seemingly stacked on top of each other. It's tucked away from the sidewalk and feels more like an impound than a successful garage. Upon meeting the manager, Michael, he too seemed a bit rough around the edges. I was bit worried they would bulldoze me and overestimate my damage to the insurance company whilst not meet the standards of VW certified repairs... Needless to say I was skeptical and preemptively pissy, BUT BOY WAS I SURPRISINGLY WRONG! This is a classic case of "don't judge a book by it's cover." Precise Auto Body gave an appropriate estimate on my bumper, but also turned around my repair in record time without half-*ssing the process. As a bonus, Michael also had his boys smooth out another bump I did a year ago, gratis. Yes, folks. Gratis! Don't let that rough Russian accent and frowny brow throw you off. He is a wonderful bright man dedicated to making successful repairs and happy customers. Though I hope not to need any additional repairs for years to come, I highly recommend Michael and Precise Auto Body! read more

Chris and his team are WONDERFUL! A previous mechanic wrecked my car when he test drove it after he worked on it and my insurance company sent me here. I am only in LA part time and had no idea what to expect. His team was incredibly professional, fixed everything beautifully,explained to me (in laymens terms so that I could understand) what they were fixing and why and everything was done on time. AND They gave me my perfectly fixed car back fully cleaned and detailed. What great service and wonderful guys. I wish I didn't have to write this review, but all in all, I'm happy to give Precise a good review. My 328i coupe was sideswiped with no note left a few weeks ago. I filed a police report and then reported it to my insurance (Mercury). I was found to not be at fault (duh) and would only have to pay my $500 deductible. Mercury referred me to Precise. I was skeptical of an auto body shop in east-ish Hollywood. I have a new BMW, and wanted to make sure it was taken care of. After reading the reviews on Yelp, and talking to Mike (from Precise), I decided to go ahead and take my baby... uh, I mean my car... there. They took care of calling Enterprise to pick me up, and made me feel very comfortable leaving my car there to get fixed. A week later I had my car back and she looked great. I haven't written a review in a long time, but I really had an above par experience with Precise Auto Body on two occasions. I initially ended up here because some douchebag driver rear ended me on the freeway and immediately fled the scene. My insurance guy had an office right by their shop and recommended them to me. Being the lazy bum that I was, I trusted him and left my car here. Chris did a great job explaining to me all the damage that he saw on my car, including a lot of stuff that I didn't even notice when I filed my insurance claim. They did a fantastic job fixing up everything in a timely manner with phone calls during the process to let me know what was going on. The second time I paid them a visit was a mere 3 days after I had gotten my car back. I first thought they had messed up something under the hood, when my car failed to go forward as I was heading off to work in the morning. I called Chris and described my situation to him. He said he was pretty sure it had nothing to do with what they did but called a tow truck immediately to bring my car into their shop so they could take a look. It turns out a RAT had chewed through two hoses in my car. WTF??? Anyways they had my car ready to go by the next day, and only charged me for the parts and the oil that had to be replaced. Plus Chris was super nice, and wrote up a special receipt for me and let me take photos so I could harangue my landlord into giving me some compensation for their failure to take care of the rodent problem. Overall, I had two great experiences at Precise Auto Body despite the extremely unfortunate circumstances that brought me there in the first place. My car was side swiped a few weeks ago. The driver side fender, front door, and back door were damaged. The back door was unable to open and the front door looked like a big tool had pulled the seams apart to where the metal showed. I was referred to Precise Auto Body by my insurance and I had a really good experience with them. The customer service was great, there are no crazy hidden fees, they worked pretty fast, and the car came back beautiful! They'll give you an estimate (which they stick to), they'll give you a timeframe (which they stick to), and they even will have Enterprise pick you up. I expected to see some flaws but it is absolutely flawless. Mike K. explained every issue that arose and I was happy that he quickly responded to any inquiries I had. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome. Beautiful car, good customer service, great body work, and I liked how they even washed and detailed my car. This is my first time writing a review on Yelp. While I've always been meaning to do so, what pushed me to do it today was the amazing service I got at Precise. In the last two years, I've taken my car there twice for two separate accidents (one not my fault, one was) and have been blown away each time by their speed and service. The first time, I got a call a couple of days after I dropped it off and I figured they were calling to ask some follow-up questions. They were calling to tell me the car was done! It was ready for pick up at my convenience. I was blown away. To give you some perspective, around the same time, two of my co-workers had unfortunately also gotten into accidents of similar severity and their auto body stores took almost three weeks to return their cars to them. Just last week, I needed an entire new bumper because I was rear-ended and I got a call two days later to tell me it was ready for pick up the next day. My car came back washed and cleaned, inside/out... it felt like a new car. Their service is great. Polite, respectful, responsive, good follow-through, good communicators. They have exceeded my expectations each time. I have worked with Mike. He's great. I first took my car to Precise because it randomly popped up in a search from my insurance company as the closest to my home. 10/19/2011 I have to agree with every review. After the recently rain storm, a big boulder roughly about 50 lbs fell from my property off the hill about 2 stories down to my parking spot and smashed into my BMW the whole front and driver side front smashed. My insurance company (Mercury) informed me of this location and recommended it and since it wasn't to far from me in hollywood. i called and took it there the next day. i signed the paper he said it would be ready in about 10 days. i picked up my 07 BMW on Monday 17th ...... I looked amazing. the body work was beautiful, the color perfect. I cannot thank Mike and everyone at Precise who helped me through a tough time recently. Long story short, someone hit my car and dealing with insurance is never easy. My car is my work and life was just becoming very hard and complicated during the months of April and May when I didn't have any income. Several different shops were recommended to me and I started my research with Yelp. After wading through all of the reviews decided to go to Precise. Now it's been a while since I've had to deal with insurance and repairs and body shops and the entire nerve wracking process...and the process hasn't changed in the many many years since the last time I had to deal with this stuff. I am so glad I ended up at Precise. Mike talked to me like a human being. He listened to me talk about the situation. Precise Autobody was the best. I was in a pretty bad accident and my car was banged up beyond belief. Precise exceed my expectations on every single level. -Dealt with my insurance company completely-I never had to fight with them. -Sent me regular email and phone updates. -Were super nice and informed every single step of the way, from the repairmen to the receptionists. -Did more more than required (they fixed a dent unrelated to the accident) without my asking. -Weeks later I had a flashing light and took it to my dealership where they told me a repair would be $600. I called Precise and they looked at it for free, told me that I didn't need the repair and it was a malfunctioning light, which they then fixed for free. I recently got into a minor fender bender. I hit a loose bumper that was left on my lane on the 101 freeway in DTLA. There was no way for me to avoid it without hitting a car to my left, right or having the car behind me hit me. I had to drive through the bumper which caused a huge dent on my lower bumper. I had my car damage assessed by an Infinity representative at the East LA Collision Center. That was the closest collision center by me to have my car repaired. I didn't really trust that collision center (I couldn't find any reviews for that place) so I went on here and found out about Precise. Precise is part of Infinity's RSVP network and based on the reviews, I was pretty confident that they would do a good job and they did. I brought my car in on a Monday afternoon and it was ready by Thursday evening. It looked impeccable. I was extremely happy with the results. I would've given this place 5 stars BUT I had to return to Precise a day after because the fog light where my car was hit did not work after I told them to check it out. I thought it was going to be a complicated electrical repair but they just needed to replace the bulb. Other than that, they did a good job and the turn-around time was exceptional considering the fact that I drive all over LA for work. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

My wife and I were traveling at 65 mph on I-210 when debris and parts from a truck started falling 50 feet in front of us, hitting two other cars, and a 2x4 came flying at us. Thankfully, it wasn't a missile at that point and was vertical. However, it did some damage to the driver side bumper and completely took out my driver side mirror. It's Memorial Day weekend and we're from SF. Allstate started our claim, and we were skeptical about whether we could get parts for our Mazda3, especially as it has the BSM system. But based on the Yelp reviews, we decided to see if anything could be done and came to Precise Auto Body. Angie helped us out but said there wasn't much that could be done given the holiday weekend and we had to drive back to SF on Monday. I suggested half-jokingly if we could jerry-rig a mirror with duct tape, and Mike immediately went to work, no questions asked. He found a mirror out of some discarded side view, and started taping it up. Angie and Mike just went with it and treated us so well. Angie even cleaned up the mirror for us. This is a Mercury approved body shop. I'm with Mercury and they recommended going here to cut down on administration and adjustor time. They were right. My infiniti Coupe was in a hit and run. They fixed her up in just over a week. The body work was great, and the paint job was very good. I did have a little chip right next to the area where the damage was done. I'm talking an inch or so. Insurance couldn't decided if this was caused by the accident or not. It wasn't there prior. They didn't touch it up. They are so by the book, that you don't get any extras here. Other body shops have had no problem touching up adjacent spots while they have the spray gun out. I thought this was a bit too proper. At times like that, bending would only solidify your customers faith. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to take my car back here. Great service, great work, and FAST! read more

5 years ago, a tow truck damaged my Range Rover when it hit the overhang of my building. Their insurance paid for the repairs at Precise Auto Body and it looked like nothing had ever happened to my car. So I had always planned to give them more business. I bought a new range rover and it was missing a bolt on the tail gate strut. I ordered the part from the dealer and they were going to charge me $500 for 2hrs labor to screw it in. Instead, I took it to Precise Auto Body and they took a look at it. They decided to check if the thread was stripped. So they found a bolt that fit and screwed it in. It worked. So they just fixed it free of charge. I couldn't believe how friendly and personable they were. Incredible customer service, not to mention they were just being great human beings. So not only did they do great work which was good enough to make my car look brand new again, but when confronted with a small issue that they didn't stand to make any money from... They took the time to help me out and fix my problem. If you need to work on your car, take it here. You will be in great hands. They will make the effort. read more
