One more great experience with William and Precision Appliance & Air Conditioning, so one more updated review! The stove in the duplex we rent started smoking over Memorial Day weekend. I admit I was in a bit of a panic and texted William, and even though it was Saturday evening, he answered me, assured me the issue didn't seem dire after unplugging the stove and scheduled a visit for the following Wednesday. He met my husband at our duplex when he said he would, and come to find out, rodents had made a nest in the stove (I don't think it had been used in a bit). I'll spare you the disgusting details, but suffice it to say, William identified the issue, made sure everything was safe as much as possible, gave us info on what we could do next and did not try to upsell us. I highly recommend Precision Appliance! I called to schedule an appointment and they provided me one within 2 days from my initial call (they also have online scheduling available on their website). They provided me with a 4-hour window of when they would arrive, and called ahead of arrival. I have a 12 year old front load washer that had error codes which I provided to them on the initial appointment set-up call. The drum was spinning and the machine was draining, but not truly washing the clothes and spinning all of the water out of them. William arrived within the scheduled window of time, immediately began testing the washer, and within a few minutes he had diagnosed the problem with my machine, the motor needed replacing. I could actually hear the motor and it sounded very poorly when it was running. Also, the interface needed replacing as well. William provided me with the cost of the motor replacement, and alone it would be over $500.00. He advised me that it was not worth repairing and I would be better off purchasing a new washing machine. William explained many different options to me, and was very helpful. He even provided me with detailed advice regarding new washing machines to purchase and where! He also looked at an old dryer I had not used in over a year and diagnosed what I thought was the heating element gone bad. Quoted me a price on repairing it as well. I have 2 washing machines, an old one we never got rid of and a newer one. They were both broken. Precision Appliance came out and had the old one fixed in literally minutes and the new one actually needed to be plugged in to another outlet! It was the outlet that was bad! He was in and out in less than an hour! Amazing! And my kids thank them for clean clothes! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. William King came to my house to install an ice maker, which was told by his company was the problem. Since they didn't have it in their stock, I was told to purchase from the supplier. $148.00. William came to my house installed the ice maker and I was told I would have ice in 24 hr. No ice. Called him back he claimed he was to install the ice maker,$165.50. He didn't run diagnostics or fix the problem but offered to fix for an additional fee a week later( vacation). When you call a repair man to fix a problem, you would tend to think he would fix the problem and make every effort to ascertain the proper repair. Called this morning to get service on my refrigerator after realizing yesterday that things on the refrigerator side weren't very cold. though the freezer side seemed fine. Given it was a GE unit, I at first went to the GE Appliance Repair website, but their first window was TWO DAYS away. Logged on to Yelp, and Precision was the first to pop up. William was at my home within 2 hours and the repair took less than 45 minutes. Though I'm $392 poorer, I'm happy that I at least don't need to go shopping for an entirely new unit. I'm glad William also suggested that I add a surge protector, explaining that if I get surges (which I do, thanks to an unexplained LG&E issue), that without one it could fry my unit's mother board and that would be the end of that. My fridge went from functioning to warm overnight. I had 2 repairmen who gave different opinions but the final recommendation was to buy a new fridge. Before I could do that, Precision Appliance called to follow-up on an initial call from a few days prior. They offered a totally different solution that worked amazingly well and got my fridge working back to normal!, even if possibly only temporarily. And then they repaired my dishwasher for no charge! I called on a Friday afternoon just before leaving work at 4:00 to try and see if I could get someone out to fix my thumping dryer. I wasn't even sure of the make of the dryer let alone the model, just that it was thumping and I needed it fixed as soon as possible! I was told I could have someone out between 9 & 11 Saturday morning. At 8:45 William called and confirmed my address and said he'd be there in 30 minutes. He pulled in at 9:10 and got straight to work. He asked questions, actually listened to the answers, and discovered the problem in no time. I called this company to look at my dryer. He called when he said he would. He showed up when he said he would. He was honest about the cost of fixing my dryer compared to getting a new one.
