Calvin showed me what services needed attention so I ended up getting new brake fluid and new filters. I am at 94,000 miles and I'm trying to keep up with maintenance so I knew it needed to be done. They did charge me $20 for a tire rotation when I never asked for it. I thought I heard that he was going to do it for free but charged me anyways. Oh well. But He did ask if I had any coupons but since I didn't, he let me scan a QR code to get a coupon and saved me about $75. Everyone was very friendly and funny lol. Since I live 200 miles away and my vehicle is still under the factory warranty, I took it to my Toyota dealer rather than risk engine damage. The dealer found that the oil filter had been left loose, allowing oil to leak onto the frame. They also found oil spilled across the engine cover, apparently from the oil fill process, and I was never informed that this had happened. (Photos attached.) The manager, David, was not on site but spoke with the staff and me by speakerphone. His solution was to offer a 25% discount on a future oil change. Considering that their sloppy workmanship caused the problem, I found that response completely inadequate. A sincere apology and a full refund would have demonstrated accountability and a genuine interest in keeping a loyal customer. Although I live 200 miles away, I work in Houston, drive three vehicles, and have spent thousands of dollars with this company over the years. I asked whether he would at least consider a 50% refund, especially since I've received 50% off promotional coupons in the past. He refused. I understand that mistakes happen. What defines a business is how it responds when those mistakes are brought to its attention. A loyal, repeat customer presented a legitimate complaint that was confirmed by a Toyota dealership, yet management chose to minimize the issue rather than make it right. David's handling of this situation has cost Take 5 far more than the price of one oil change. It has cost them a long-term customer, and my future business will go to a company that stands behind its work.

It's a car with 95k miles that is 6 yrs old. It has the original brakes, original battery and the spark plugs have not been changed yet. They did not do the tires because it was not on the order and their machine is broke. I did not get my inspection sheet so I could see what upcoming maintenance I might need and how things were on the car because that system was down. I know the aux battery is bad, it hesitated to start twice this last week and the idle is a little rough. I have been a long time Midas customer at a Midas in Bixby, OK. My welcoming to Houston is that the Midas on Dairy Ashford sucks. I went there because of my experience with the Bixby store and it is near my house. I gave him 2 stars because this car was ripe for needing $2k is maint on it and atleast they didn't try to sell me on a bunch of unnecessary items.

My mom brought her car in because it was hesitating to accelerate past 50 mph. After paying $189 for a diagnostic service, the mechanic first said the engine had failed and even gave her a quote for a full engine replacement. Later, the story changed -- first to a catalytic converter issue and then again to something else. When she picked up the car, it was in worse condition than before. It wouldn't go over 10 mph, and they admitted they already knew it was running that way but still let her drive it into traffic without warning her. The only reason they looked at the car again was because it came back in such bad shape. They were combative when we asked questions, and the engine cover wasn't even secured afterward. This used to be a shop we trusted, but the lack of accountability, inconsistent diagnostics, and disregard for safety were unacceptable. If you're looking for honest mechanics and reliable diagnostics, I would strongly suggest taking your vehicle elsewhere.

You go in for an oil change and they take about an hr, if not more. Ive always felt that they are not honest. I take my car there ONLY to have my oil changed, because they are near by, and they offer "specials". I have been a returning customer but have grown concerned about the honesty of their recommendations, and possibly their auto repair work. During a recent visit, I was told that two expensive parts needed to be replaced on my Lexus. They stated it was critical that both be replaced as soon as possible to prevent from being stranded. They even provided photographic evidence of the damaged parts...BUT..they weren't pictures of my car's parts though - very misleading, and frustrating... They provided pictures of some other cars. After feeling doubt, a second opinion from two, reputable independent mechanics confirmed that neither part was damaged. I felt misled and that the shop was creating unnecessary repairs. Im glad I didnt waste money on these unnecessary repairs, as Im sure many of their innocent victims have.
