AAA works with so many 3rd party tow companies and this is unfortunately one of them. Trash customer service, rude, unprofessional, just don't care whatsoever. Since they have a contract with AAA they make it clear how little they care about the customers experience. At least I got to save my $20 tip I usually give the driver. He can thank his miserable female coworker for that. Bringing your deep unhappiness to your workplace is unfair to everyone you need to interact with. read more

This business is rude and inept. I had my Tesla towed there after an accident. They have made it so difficult to get the car to my shop. They don't answer the phone or listen to their messages. Apparently now there is a form they require me to fill out but they never made mention of that or do they have it available on their website. When they towed the car, they damaged the front end by dragging the wheels that were locked. Only after I said stop, you are ruining the front end that was not even damaged - did they put sliders under the wheel. The windows were opened automatically after the accident. They did not even bother to cover the car causing water damage. Stay away from this place. Rude; inept; and expensive. read more

After being on the phone for almost 2 hours and given 3 different prices to get my vehicle out of the tow lot I gave up. I absolutely gave up! I was so frustrated I was just about ready to just sign my vehicle over to get the headache over with! The next day, I went back and talked to someone in person. The lady that was at the office should be the ONLY one to answer the phones!!! She seemed like the ONLY competent one working here!!! On Wednesday a man by the name of John picked me and my boyfriend up off the side of the fwy, we couldn't have stopped in a worst spot, we had no room to walk out of the car without almost getting hit by on coming traffic. I'm going to make this short. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm going to share my story on every news Chanel and social media to show the negligence or how dishonest this company is. We put our lives in there hands and they have the Audacity to lie about a horrible accident that was caused by John the tow truck driver. It's been 3 days and the owner and manager of preferred towing LLC has not return my phone calls. John the tow truck driver had my boyfriends Chevy truck 3 feet off the ground on the bed lift when he asked Cesar to put the truck on neutral, I had just walked out of the truck and was walking away from it when all of a sudden I hear a horrible loud noise and the next thing I feel is Cesar's truck slamming into me. It all happen so fast. I kept hearing Cesar screaming over and over again "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! Then I feel Cesar's body slamming into me and then felt I was being picked up and thrown over the center divides onto the grass side of the fwy. By that time the truck had come to a hard stop my boyfriend was still on the side of the fwy he wouldn't stop asking me if I was okay and John the TTD was standing like and idiot just looking at us in disbelief. When we calmed down my boyfriend explain to me he saw his truck dragging me onto the on coming traffic and if he didn't pick me up with one arm and thrown me over to the other side I would have been pinned between the truck and the center divider and maybe have been killed. When we got in the tow truck John got on the phone. It tools us a good 40 mins to get back to my house never once did he ask if we were okay he can clearly see I was in horrible pain and still didn't have the common courtesy to ask if we needed anything. When we got home I ask my boyfriend to tell him not to leave because I wanted to make a report of the accident. John response was, "go ahead" and waved goodbye. Now this scum bag John and the owner refuse to take my calls and still haven't replied to any of my phone calls or emails. This shows the lack of character lack of integrity and even worst lack of professionalism they don't have. Please do not use them. I won't rest until they get what they deserve I'm going to make sure the district attorney office shuts them down and Cesar and I get taken care off. My car failed off the 5 freeway at approximately 7:30pm Saturday, March 7th, and just south of the Junipero Serra Rd exit. Being from North County San Diego, I randomly chose to call Preferred Towing to inquire about an assist to a to-be-determined local car repair shop. After describing my circumstances to Preferred's phone representative, I was told my vehicle was "out of the company's service range" in a chilling cold, terse manner. What? I was located just a couple miles north from Preferred's home base on Calle Perfecto, San Juan Capistrano. When stating my confusion as to why I would be out of Preferred's service range given my location, I was given cold silence. I was quite shocked and knew there was no reasoning to be had, so I moved on. Funny enough, my car ended up being delivered to a repair shop located on the same street as Preferred. I then called tow company based a minute away from Preferred's location, and was given one of the quickest, best tow services ever. It seems being stuck in an unsafe traffic scenario located just a couple miles north wasn't a burden for this team. When discussing my Preferred phone experience with my truck driver, he gave a chuckle. He suggested they were either busy or short staffed, and were not interested in taking time out for my "small job", and was looking for "bigger money opportunities" for the night. Though pure speculation on his part, it made total logical sense for "out of company service range" is an insult to even an average intelligence. Shame on you, Preferred, and especially your frosty cold, near-human phone representative. You know being stranded on the freeway is an extremely stressful, and for some commuters, traumatic experience. Phone reps should be properly trained for such calls, and using illogical statements as lies is never acceptable. At the very least, refer callers to companies that will perform the work you won't do. Your professionalism is certainly not "Preferred". read more

I called AAA. Jesus showed up and insisted my car needed to go to the yard after an accident. Turns out my car wasn't required to go to the yard. My insurance doesn't cover tow and yard charges. Because my car was towed the the yard I had to pay in case because they are saying aaa wouldn't pay for it. This guy also took it upon himself to call another tow truck from his company and towed the other girls car who barely spoke any English. This guy scammed us and took advantage of two women who didn't know any better. Shame on him! read more

We were just in a very bad three way accident and The cops called triple A for us and during the towing of my car this towing company drop us off on the the middle of no where!! The cops called triple A for us and his supervisor check my triple a was past due which I didn't know so I called triple A during the towing to have my road side coverage paid for and while he was towing he just got off and drop us the middle of no where while Triple A was doing my recoverable for roadside, 5 year membership!! Triple will still cover for my tow and was really upset that the tow company would do this. The tow driver was Mathew and the other guy on the phone was Anthony. Please if you care about the well being of yourself, your loves and family and safety don't not support this towing company. Its just inhumane. I was bruise and bleeding my car with air bag deploy and this towing company didn't care. Triple a sent out a new tow company and I will make sure this issue is brought to corporate so this towing company will not be employed by triple A. read more

AAA couldn't of provided a better contracted tow provider. Broke down on my way home from Del Mar today in my classic truck and Alfonso with Preferred Towing in San Clemente knew how to get it done right. He was thoughtful and planned the perfect execution to get my lowered truck, I mean low on his flat bed. He was courteous, professional and definitely someone I felt comfortable with when he was hooking it up...wrapped his straps in the right areas to not further damage anything and used these plastic blocks to support the weight of the truck as it slid across some 2x4's to get it on the bed. Extra * for the orange cones he set up behind my broken down truck to keep people off the shoulder! read more

I had to get my 20 year old Land Rover from Irvine to Garden Grove this morning (Saturday). As trusty as thus River has been, this might be its last trip to my mechanic. Luis Hernandez from Preferred Towing came in what seemed like 10 minutes (30 minutes sooner than AAA dispatcher told me), and got my Rover loaded on the flatbed in no time flat. I watched him work, and Luis was a model of efficiency and courtesy. We had a pleasant 20 minute drive to the Rover shop in Garden Grove, and Luis again expertly dropped off the car in a tight spot of the shop parking lot. This was the worst experience I have had the misfortune of experiencing. My Harley was damaged by the driver when loading it onto the truck. I was extremely displeased with the service, or should I say lack of it, from this point forward. The do not return phone calls and do not respond in a timely manner to emails. I was inconvenienced and treated as a dishonest person for THEM damaging my property. Requested through USAA Roadside Assistance Agero on 3 occasions they never arrived: 1st time: they were supposed to arrive in 1 hr, but after 1:30, they made outlandish excuses that didn't even match. 2nd time: they were supposed to arrive in 1 hr, but after 1:15, they said they'll be there in 11 min, but never came - we had to have it reassigned, so each tow took 3 hours to get and complete, because these jokers were involved. 3rd time: the cancelled the tow and didn't let us know. We've asked our roadside service to NEVER assign us to them again. read more
