I was looking for a plumber to come out on a weekend to fix a clogged sink, and I put out bids through Yelp. Of course, there's hundreds of plumbers out there, and how can you really find the "right" one? I was in a tight bind and the fastest plumber to reply was Kevin over at Premier 1 Plumbing. Not only was he quick to reply, I was able to get him to come over to the house in less than 90 minutes. He was able to snake the drain and clear the drain, but pointed out that I had bigger problems to worry about; cast iron pipes that were nearly 100+ years old in my old home. Fast forward about 2 months, I decided I needed to have a leaky shower, toilets, and sink all replaced; I naturally reached out to Kevin to see what his availability was. He was able to get the shower fixed, two toilets in two bathroom, and a kitchen sink all replaced in a day. I had an excellent experience with them when the plumber came to fix a clogged sink and a water leak in our kitchen. After contacting several other plumbers, I found his pricing to be very reasonable. He came in with a 25-foot snake device to clear the sink, but when that didn't work, he quickly brought in a 75-foot snake device and got the job done. I FINALLY get a chance to sit down and give a review on Premier 1 Plumbing. I met Kevin back in April of last year we needed a camera inspection in our new purchased home. We already knew our house had a sewer issue. And the realtor gave us the plumber they used, but they started off really bad with us. Keep in mind I know drain and sewer lines are very expensive!! We had a pipe break in the wall and I'm glad I found Premier 1 Plumbing. Kevin came out and look at the situation and realized that we needed remediation. He came, looked at the broken pipe and just gave me this look like he's seen this a million times. I told him that insurance didn't cover the job as it was an old problem and he just knew what to do. I own a business and needed a quick fix. Yes, they did just that. The first technician that came in was very nice and looked at the problem I had in the bathroom he then approached me and told me the situation. I feel like they definitely put higher quote because I'm a business. He gave me a quote for $425 to change a small part if that was indeed the issue. I was a bit taken back because I wasn't expecting that. But I'm not the professional, so I didn't really question him. He said that because it's a commercial toilet, it's more "expensive" okay, fine. I let him fix it. he then told me that if it's not that small issue, then I would have to replace the whole thing part, which will cost me $900+ again taken back. I looked up the part, and it cost $100+. I questioned the price, and they said it's mostly the labor. Then, a supervisor came in and went into more detail about what they were doing. I feel like he sugar-coated the high price, then said he would give me a discount. He came back once the bill was done and told me that he couldn't give me a discount after all. I wanted to change out one of our bathroom faucets, but when I went to turn the water off, I got the dreaded "knob turns and water doesn't turn off" problem for both vales. Having never changed a shutoff valve before, I came to Yelp to get a few estimates. I talked to Premier 1 Plumbing first, and got estimates for both changing the two valves for this one faucet, and for changing all the valves in the house, thinking if two went bad, they're all going to be bad because they're all probably the original valves from the 90s. After talking with several options, I decided to come back to Premier 1 because their not only was their estimate one of the best, but also they were very helpful and spent a lot of time answering my questions. I decided to have all the valves in the house replaced, and bought a few 5-packs of 1/4 turn vales which were what they recommended. Kevin and his partner showed up on time, and in probably not much more than an hour had everything swapped out. There were a couple that needed a little extra tightening, but we were leak-free and all upgraded by the time they left. They were easy to work with, easy to schedule, and allowed me to buy the parts myself which let me pick exactly what I wanted.
